Two influencers filming a food review video inside a Houston restaurant inadvertently captured the terrifying moment an SUV crashed through the glass wall beside their table, showering them with shards in the middle of their meal.
Content creators Patrick Blackwood and Nina Unrated, were recording at Cuvee Culinary Creations in Houston, Texas, on August 16, 2025, when the shocking incident unfolded.
The duo had been showcasing an array of dishes—from parmesan and lemon pepper wings to lamb chops and shrimp-and-grits martinis—while joking with staff and viewers about the flavors.
Just seconds before the crash, Blackwood enthusiastically commented on the food: "Can I be upfront with you? I'm not a guy that hates grits, but this is the one, huh?"
Within moments, the restaurant's calm atmosphere shifted as the window beside their booth exploded when a black SUV plowed into the dining area, sending their table and plates flying across the floor.
Newsweek reached out to Cuvee Culinary Creations via email for comment.

Severe shock
Blackwood instinctively pushed Nina out of the way, and the video showed him covered in shards of glass as stunned staff rushed forward to help.
"I remember the moment of impact vividly," Unrated told Newsweek. "At first, I was in severe shock and extremely scared—I thought I was going to die.
"I felt wet everywhere, so I knew there was some bleeding, but I didn't know the extent of my injuries until about five or 10 minutes later," she said.
Emergency services, including the fire department and Houston police, responded swiftly, and the pair were rushed to the hospital.
Newsweek reached out to the Houston Police Department out of working hours for comment.

Injuries and recovery
The pair walked out of the hospital later that day, but suffered a series of injuries as a result of the crash. Blackwood required seven staples in his right thigh, three staples in his back, and stitches behind his ear. He also endured multiple cuts across his face and body.
Unrated received three stitches on her right arm, a butterfly stitch on her left forearm, and sustained a small facial cut.
"We both walked away without any major injuries—we're so lucky to be alive," Unrated said.
The pair believe their survival was no accident. "Our guardian angel—our dog Loyal, who passed away on November 20, 2024—protected us. I don't know how or why I survived, but there has to be a reason and a purpose," Unrated explained.
"Life is so precious, and this has reminded me to cherish every single moment," she added.
The pair shared the full video of the review, and crash, to their YouTube page @UnratedExFiles yesterday, where it's since been viewed more than 100,000 times

In the caption, they relayed their horrifying ordeal, saying: "We were laughing, having a great time, and right as we tapped our sliders together in a "boom!" cheers moment, out of nowhere, this SUV came barreling through the glass wall at 35-40 mph.
"No warning at all glass shattered everywhere, chaos erupted, and it hit right next to Patrick on the outside of the booth. We were inches from disaster, but by some miracle, we're both okay, just shaken and forever changed.
"This terrifying experience has made us realize just how precious life is. Tomorrow is not promised do what you want to do today, live happy today, let go of everything holding you back, and forgive everybody. You don't have time for that nonsense."

'Fallout' Season 2 Teaser Trailer Gives First Look at Greatest Villain
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors The wasteland is back, and Amazon Prime Video has dropped the first teaser trailer for "Fallout" season 2. The over two-minute-long trailer gives fans a look at The Ghoul, Lucy, and so much more. More news: 'Breaking Bad' Creator Vince Gilligan Drops Teaser for New Series While the ending of the first season saw the inclusion of New Vegas, it appears the location and one of the biggest villains from "Fallout" will take center stage in the new season. The trailer opens with The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) leading Lucy (Ella Purnell) through the wasteland, as she questions why her villainous father, Hank (Kyle MacLachlan), would travel to New Vegas. What is interesting is that the trailer then pivots to The Ghoul explaining how the world ended to Lucy, and showcases what could be a huge backstory of his life before the bombs dropped. The first poster for Fallout Season 2 The first poster for Fallout Season 2 Amazon Prime Video This is where the trailer then showcases the greatest villain from the popular video game series, Mr. House. He is sitting behind a ton of computer screens in what appears to be a penthouse location in New Vegas. It also appears that Mr. House and The Ghoul know one another well, as his human self, Cooper Howard, is dead set on protecting his family from the presumed war that caused the bombs to drop. There is plenty to explore in the trailer, along with one of the fiercest creatures also being showcased in the series for the first time, the Deathclaw. These giant, claw-bearing creatures are tough to deal with in the video game, and it appears the creature will also take center stage in "Fallout" season 2. Well, that is to say that The Ghoul and Lucy will run into one, per the trailer. Instead of The Ghoul showcasing his gunplay to stop the creature, he takes off running, which is usually what is the best thing to do in the video game as well. "Fallout" season 2 will drop on Amazon Prime Video on December 17. For more streaming news, head to Newsweek Streaming.

How Girl Golden Retriever Puppy Stands Out Among Boy Litter Melts Hearts
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A video showcasing a female puppy standing out among her energetic littermates quickly went viral with 21.9 million views on Instagram. Like children, puppies generally display certain characteristics based on their sex. Non-neutered males tend to be more dominant, territorial, playful and active than females, according to Pedigree. While females are easier to housebreak or train, they sometimes can be more demanding of attention. And as a breeder based in Arizona, Sheryl Bowden has seen her fair share of dog personalities. She told Newsweek that male puppies usually have a more rambunctious side, while the girls, in her experience, can be stubborn. The "goofy" and silliness of boy pups shone through in her August 7 Instagram video posted to the account @maizey_daze. In the clip, four male golden retriever puppies were roughhousing. One tried pulling the pup's sweatshirt off. Another grabbed a tail with his mouth. The puppy energy was in full swing. However, the only female dog in the litter, Birdie, captured people's hearts as she wanted nothing to do with the puppy chaos her brothers started. Screenshots from an August 7 Instagram video of a dog breeder highlighting the different personalities between female and male puppies. She was in heaven getting the attention and a moment away from the madhouse of her littermates. "Don't get me wrong, the boys can be wrestling and she will fly out of nowhere and tackle whoever is on top!" Bowden said. "They are so fun to raise and watch their personalities!!" Plus, Bowden knows the puppy energy does not last 24/7. She said whenever she holds them, they calm down. The puppies love to be touched and given attention. What Do the Comments Say? Instagram users flooded the comment section, as they fell in love with the "princess of the pack" who they believe is the secret mastermind behind the puppies. "She's going to lead them all," one viewer commented, while a second echoed: "She says, 'I'm gonna be the boss around here.'" Others joked that the saying "boys will be boys" rings true even in the puppy world. One comment reads: "So boys are wild in every species." Thinking on the bright side, an Instagram user pointed out: "She got 4 brothers that would protect her at all costs though."
