Natalie Ennis tells of callous gang's abuse
Natalie Ennis was taken by a gang of men to a flat in Henrietta House in Dublin 7 in September last year after she was falsely blamed for missing drugs.
Five gang members were jailed last week for between eight and 14 years for the depraved attack on the 38-year-old mother of one.
In an interview in the Sunday Independent, she said during her harrowing ordeal her attackers were 'all ordering chippers for themselves' and going to the shops for bottles of coke and Lucozade.
'It's something I live with every day. You are talking to me now and I can still see it happen to me,' she said.

The attack occurred on Thursday, September 26, when the man she was renting a room in an apartment came in and said: 'Right, let's go. He had a gash on his face and that's when I knew there was something wrong,' she said.
She was driven to Henrietta House in the north inner city, and to a squalid flat. She was whacked across the head with metal bars, a hammer was heated up and pressed against her bare skin. She was repeatedly kicked her in the face and had a hatchet held to her head.
One of her attackers looked up her personal details on Facebook, looked up her family, and threatened to rape her daughter, who was just 17.
Ms Ennis, who had been pummelled, slashed and burnt, found the courage to speak out: 'I said youse won't be doing nothing to my daughter. You'll do it to me,' she said.
'Jesus. That got me big time.'
Ms Ennis believed she was going to die. 'In my head, I was going to ask them could I just ring and say goodbye to my Ma and my daughter,' she said.
Out of nowhere, armed gardaí rammed open the door and swarmed the flat. By coincidence, they were coincidentally executing a warrant relating to a completely different matter.
Ms Ennis spent weeks in hospital with severe injuries including burns, severe bruising, fractures to her cheekbone and eye socket, a broken nasal bone, broken elbow. She had to have spinal surgery to have a disc removed.
She was 'terrified' when she was discharged because she had nowhere to go, and has been living for the last 10 months in a crisis accommodation centre for woman escaping domestic violence run by Sonas.
Apart from ongoing pain and medical issues, she said she is constantly terrified and suffers night terrors.
Natalie Ennis stood up to the torturers' threats against her daughter
'I barely go outside the door. When I do it's in a taxi. I'm afraid of every fella that walks by me,' she said.
'I don't feel safe once I leave this building. This is my safe place.'
Having waited 10 months for a psychiatric appointment, she was finally given one on Friday, the day after she was interviewed on RTE's Prime Time.
Braxton Rice (21), was sentenced to 14 years in jail. Mark McMahon (55) was jailed for 12 years. His son, 33-year-old Mark Keogh, was jailed for nine. Sean Conroy (21), from Ballymun, was jailed for 12 years. Kian Walshe (22) from Dublin 7 was jailed for eight-and-a-half years.
The men apologised to Ms Ennis, and one wrote to her. 'That means nothing to me. Evil demon devil,' she said.

Disturbing picture of blood-soaked shark attack victim after being forced to swim for his life in horrific mauling

'By the time I acknowledged he wasn't gonna turn around, it was too late,' Armand told Fox affiliate WALA. He told WALA that he's familiar with sharks and often sees them when he's out fishing, but was surprised when the beast went after him. 'I didn't really have time to, you know, react otherwise besides put my knee between myself and the shark," Armand said. Advertisement Armand said that after the shark bit his knee, it turned around and swam back down. He then raced to the boat, where his friends pulled him up to help. 'We were able to fashion a makeshift tourniquet out of a t-shirt, a speargun band and a fillet knife,' Armand said. Then the group took a picture of Armand, posing just minutes after his leg was nearly ripped off. Advertisement In the picture, Armand is grinning with his tongue out as he holds up his leg, which is covered in blood and has a tourniquet fashioned. He said that he couldn't feel pain from the shark bite at first, and that he could only feel pressure from the attack. "Spicy Bullshark decided he wanted my fish too on my way up from a dive today," Armand wrote in the post. Advertisement "Couldn't have asked for better people to help me out in the moment. Armand said once the spearfishing group had cellphone service, they called 911. First responders met the boat on the dock and he was quickly taken to a nearby hospital. 'By the grace of God, there was no tendon damage, no bone damage, no artery damage, it's just one giant, gnarly flesh wound,' Armand said. Advertisement 4 Charmaine Bradbury waged a campaign of harassment against her ex Credit: Cavendish The 36-year-old hounded her ex with 94 calls in 24 hours on one occasion and bombarded him with dozens of texts. Bradbury even tried to pin the blame on Mark - claiming that he brought her "no joy" in put-down messages. She pleaded guilty to harassment but avoided jail and was instead slapped with a five-year restraining order. Crewe Magistrates' Court heard the couple had been in a relationship in January 2024 but broke up last June. However, whilst blocked, Miss Bradbury sent two unwanted text messages to Mr Price. ''The following day Mr Price received 74 missed calls from a private number to his work phone, from 8.25am to 3.35pm. Miss Bradbury left two voice mails from those calls. The same day there were 20 missed calls from Miss Bradbury's number to Mr Price's work phone. ''Again 28 text messages that same day from Miss Bradbury's number to the defendant's work phone. The messages ranged from being nice to vile resulting in her being arrested.'' The court heard Bradbury, who lists her Facebook status as "sweet but psycho", left Mark with nightmares and cold sweats. Advertisement In degrading messages, she told him: "We both agree we do not want to be with each other. Just please leave asap. I am on the phone more than ever because you are not doing anything for me anymore. ''And I have genuinely gone off on us. You bring me no joy in my life at all any more. You depress me." Another putdown read: "I have never needed you and it is only the past couple of weeks that I have become more distant with you as this relationship is dead." Dad-of-two Mark told police how he lost his job as a result of the abuse. Advertisement He added: "Charmaine isolated me from seeing my family and friends. "She continued to hold on to personal possessions including items of deep sentimental value. She refused to return them. That prolonged this trauma making it hard to move forward. "The impact on the children has been devastating due to the chaos caused by her actions. Important bonds have suffered and nightmares, cold sweats and severe anxiety became part of my life,. "I have been told that it will take time, possibly a long time to recover. I am determined to recover. Advertisement "This is not just a case of harassment, Charmaine has conducted a campaign of control, fear and abuse which has affected me emotionally, physically, professionally and personally." As well as a restraining order, Bradbury was handed an 18-month community order. She must attend a Building Better Choices rehabilitation program and undergo 12 months of alcohol treatment. Bradbury was also ordered to pay Mark £250 in compensation. Advertisement JP Alan Eyres said: "I've got to say this harassment is as bad as any I have seen for this kind of case. "There will be compensation to Mark Price for pain, suffering and mental health anguish. I appreciate that £250 goes nowhere near the kind of suffering but we have to be mindful of your means and income." 4 Bradbury couldn't accept the relationship was over Credit: Cavendish 4 She hounded her ex with calls and texts Credit: Cavendish Advertisement
