Will Single's Inferno star Dex become concubine to Suzy's empress in Men of the Harem? Actor's agency reacts to reports
Men of the Harem is an upcoming fantasy romance drama about an empress' revenge spree, touching on themes of politics, power dynamics and complexities of building relationships within a harem. In May, Bae Suzy was reported to be offered to lead the series, and a month later, Dex was approached to play another important character of the drama, as per My Daily's June 19 report.
Dex to star as Suzy's character's concubine in Men of the Harem
Men of the Harem is a story about Latil (role offered to Suzy), a newly crowned emperor who, after being scorned by her former lover, decides to form her own harem as an act of revenge. Latil will plan to take five male concubines to cause them the same pain she felt when her beloved cheated on her. Dex was offered the role of one of the five men. The story explored themes of revenge, and unconventional relationships within a royal setting.
Dex's agency's response to reports of joining Suzy in Men of the Harem
Dex's agency's KTHD Studio confirmed receiving the offer, however, refrained from spilling anything more. They stated, "The appearance has not been decided. We only received a proposal, and nothing has been decided yet." They provided a cautious response regarding being in discussions about the casting offer, just like the other unconfirmed cast member, Suzy.
Suzy's agency's response to star as an empress in Men of the Harem
Suzy's agency, Management SOOP, confirmed that the actress received the offer to play the protagonist in Men of Harem. They stated, 'It is a project that we have received an offer for and are currently reviewing it.'
Though, none of the actors' sides confirmed their participation in the project as of yet, the excitement surrounding their possible pairing has been growing. Due to their fan following and soaring career, casting them together might be a good move by director Lee Eung Bok.
About Dex's acting career
Dex has built a dedicated fandom for himself due to his good looks and his choice of projects. He starred as a contestant and panel member of the popular South Korean dating show, Singles Inferno. He made his debut in a major role in K-dramas through the horror-thriller series Tarot and awaits his next.

BLACKPINK slammed over $18 plastic bag merch as furious fans call for DEADLINE tour boycott: 'Not buying these Z grade designs'
BLACKPINK is once again trending on K-pop Twitter, but not for the kind of headline-grabbing reason fans were hoping for. Instead of buzz about a long-awaited comeback or new music, the group, comprising Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, is drawing criticism over their upcoming DEADLINE tour merchandise. With group activities scarce since their last release in 2022, BLINKs have been impatient for a comeback. The announcement of a pop-up merch line could have offered some excitement, but instead, it's added fuel to the fire. BLACKPINK's $18 plastic bag merch sparks fan outrage. The latest controversy erupted after BLACKPINK's BORN PINK: DEADLINE pop-up store unveiled its official merch in Seoul, including a basic black plastic bag being sold for 24,000 KRW (approx. USD 18). The item, featuring only the group's logo, has drawn sharp criticism from BLINKs who feel it's overpriced and underwhelming. Social media was quick to slam the group and their agency, YG Entertainment, with many accusing them of exploiting fans' loyalty while giving them nothing substantial in return. "No effort at all, even for official tour merchandise. And they are even selling plastic bags with the BLACKPINK logo for almost 20 USD? YG Entertainment has been bragging about the "new great team' in charge of BLACKPINK, yet it's all the same trash releases aiming to milk fans," one user wrote. One fan mentioned, "Outdated Blackpink logo and outdated hearts – like this is a combination of all the tour merch together. If it's real, it needs to be Boycott BLACKPINK tour so y'all can get YG panicking." Outdated Blackpink logo, and outdated hearts like this is a combination of all the tour merch together 💀 if it's real it needs to be #boycott_blackpinktour so y'all can get YG panicking YG confirms comeback plans, but fans stay sceptical In response to the backlash against BLACKPINK's delayed comeback, YG Entertainment confirmed that the group will release a new single in July—their first group track since 2022. While the announcement brought some relief, many fans are viewing it as a reactionary move to deflect criticism rather than a well-planned comeback. With limited details and a history of delayed group activities, BLINKs remain cautiously optimistic. For now, the promise of new music is on the horizon but overpriced merch won't be enough to hold fans over. For the unversed, BLACKPINK's highly anticipated DEADLINE World Tour is officially kicking off on July 5, 2025, with the opening shows set at Goyang Stadium in South Korea For all the latest K-drama, K-pop, and Hallyuwood updates, keep following our coverage here.

ARMYs, we've waited patiently, and now we finally get to say it: Suga is back! The BTS rapper has officially wrapped up his alternative military service, days ahead of schedule. Though his official discharge date is June 21, he completed his final day of duty on June 18, sparking excitement across the fandom. Suga completes his military service ahead of official discharge Suga fulfilled his service as a public service worker, an alternate form of mandatory military service, having enlisted on September 22, 2023, due to previous shoulder surgery. And he wrapped it all up efficiently by using his remaining annual leave, which is a standard and approved process, according to the Yonhap News Agency. He also completed basic military training during his service, proving once again his commitment to both duty and discipline. Suga spotted at J-Hope's concert, cheering for a mini Bangtan reunion Suga was last seen in public on June 13, attending J-Hope's encore solo concert finale at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium, which coincided with BTS' annual Festa celebration. Dressed in a beanie and mask, he kept a low profile in the crowd, but fans quickly caught on and were thrilled to spot him along with other members. His pics and videos, shared widely online, felt like the soft beginning of BTS's long-awaited reunion as Jin and Jungkook joined J-Hope on the stage. V, RM, SUGA, and Jimin at j-hope's concert today.
