Nicholls leans on ‘T.E.A.M.' mindset in preparation for 2025 season

Yahoo22-04-2025
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Nicholls football was loud and proud with their 'T.E.A.M' shirts. Team is the acronym for 'Together Everybody Achieves More.'
It's a part of the new Tommy Rybacki era where togetherness is a part of the standard and speaking with the Colonels' new head coach, he says much hasn't changed. He's still busy with elevated tasks but he's continued to see progress through the spring ball period and he's anxious for what's to come.

'We had a good couple of weeks of spring ball and I'm very proud of the progress that we've made to this point,' says Rybacki. 'Even before spring ball, the offseason program to get us ready for this and what we've been able to do in the last four weeks has been really positive for us.'
'Today was an awesome day. It was the most game-like situation we've been in and that was the goal. We've been trying to break it in quarters and with a halftime and get in some live work', says Deuce Hogan.
Deuce Hogan, Nicholls' newest quarterback, joins the competition.
Between Hogan, Ean Rodrigue, Preston Welch, Christian Arceaneaux, Rybacki says each guy carries their own specialty and are working hard for the spot but he also mentioned that he wouldn't mind dipping into the portal if the right opportunity presented itself.

NFL Top 100: Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb is No. 35, faces Arizona Cardinals in 2025

The Cardinals will have to face Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb in Week 9. He is No. 35 in the 'NFL Top 100'. The NFL continues to reveal players in the yearly offseason "NFL Top 100." Three Arizona Cardinals players made the list, with linebacker Josh Sweat at No. 95, tight end Trey McBride at No. 65 and safety Budda Baker at No. 34, making the list for the sixth straight year. Several players the Cardinals will face in 2025 continue to be revealed. Last week, in revealing players Nos. 31-40, No. 35 is someone the Cardinals will face in 2025. Player No. 35 is Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb. Lamb was No. 13 a year ago. Teammate Micah Parsons, a defensive end and No. 36 in the top 100, said that Lamb "is the best player I've ever seen in person." Recently retired safety Tyrann Mathieu said that Lamb "is one of the more physically gifted receivers in our league," noting his size and being able to "move like a little guy." Parsons pointed out, "He put up 1,200 yards while missing his quarterback," as Cowboys starting quarterback Dak Prescott missed nine games. Lamb had 101 receptions and 1,194 yards and six touchdowns in 15 games. That sort of production without a great quarterback is something Cardinals fans will remember about Larry Fitzgerald. The Cardinals will face Lamb and the Cowboys in Week 9 on Monday night on the road. Lamb has not won a game in his career against the Cardinals, going 0-3. He has 14 receptions for 168 yards in those three games. It will be a big game on Monday night! Arizona Cardinals cut recently signed WR ahead of final preseason game

We should expect a signing of an offensive lineman on Wednesday The Arizona Cardinals made a roster move on Tuesday, although they did not announce it. It appeared on the NFL transaction report. They waived receiver Kelly Akharaiyi, whom they signed just last week. He did not get into the Cardinals' 27-7 preseason loss to the Denver Broncos on Wednesday. The Cardinals brought in a pair of interior offensive linemen for tryouts, which is probably related to the knee injury to rookie guard Hayden Conner. With the preseason finale coming, they have enough receivers who can play, as evidenced by the fact that they didn't need Akharaiyi against the Broncos. The Cardinals have roster decisions to make, as they and the rest of the NFL must cut rosters down to 53 players by Tuesday afternoon next week. Apple Acquires Sports Comedy Feature THE DINK Featuring All-Star Cast Led by Jake Johnson and Ben Stiller — GeekTyrant

Apple has picked up the rights to the sports comedy The Dink , directed by Josh Greenbaum (upcoming Spaceballs 2 ) and starring Jake Johnson ( New Girl ). Ben Stiller is on board as a producer and co-star, alongside an all-star cast that includes tennis champions Andy Roddick and John McEnroe, as well as Mary Steenburgen, Ed Harris, Chloe Fineman, Aaron Chen, Patton Oswalt, Chris Parnell and Christine Taylor. Details as to the release plan, including whether the film will hit theaters in addition to streaming, have not yet been disclosed. Written by Sean Clements, The Dink stars Johnson as a washed-up tennis pro who, desperate to save a struggling club and earn his father's respect, is compelled to break a sacred vow and do the unthinkable: play pickleball. The project reunites Apple with Stiller amid his work on Severance , the fan-favorite dystopian thriller series which recently landed 27 Emmy nominations — the most of any show this year — including Outstanding Drama series. Apple will also serve as the distributor for Stiller & Meara: Nothing is Lost , Stiller's intergenerational documentary passion project looking at the lives of his late comedy icon parents, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara. Johnson, meanwhile, is set to star alongside Tatiana Maslany in Apple's upcoming comedic thriller series Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed . via: Deadline
