complex for 8 billion KRW which is approx. the amount of Rs. 49.80 crore, finalising the deal on the month of July 3, 2025. The 170.98-square-meter unit, originally purchased in 2014 for Rs. 18.86 crore, earned him a 164 percent profit.
The timing of the sale just days after renewed scrutiny over his alleged relationship with the late actress

sparked speculation that the move was financially motivated. However, Kim's team clarified that the buyer had been secured in 2023, and the transaction was not a distress sale.

The scandal erupted following Kim Sae Ron's tragic death earlier this year. Her family accused Kim Soo Hyun of dating her while she was a minor and abandoning her afterward. In a press conference, Kim refuted these claims: 'I did not date the deceased when she was a minor. We dated five years ago for about a year, long before Queen of Tears aired.' as reported by News18. He also explained his initial denial, 'As the lead actor of Queen of Tears, I couldn't confirm the relationship publicly because of its potential impact on the cast and crew.'
Kim further denied allegations that his agency pressured Sae Ron over her debts, stating, 'Aside from the fact that we were both actors, we were simply an ordinary couple who broke up over time.'
