Eamonn Holmes opens up about ‘horrible' former co-stars he has worked with branding some of them ‘false'
When asked by Holmes about why Winstone decided to leave Los Angeles and why he was not 'mixing and socialising' with his other celebrity pals, the 68-year-old Londoner told the former This Morning presenter it would be like 'living above the shop'.
"LA... I couldn't live in LA. It's constant,' Winstone said.
"Even the guy who puts petrol in your car works in the industry. It's like every two minutes, it's all they want to talk about. We talk about birds and football and boxing, you know, they talk about movies.
"There's something else out there, you know, and I think to be successful in what you do, you've got to know what else is going on in the world rather than be wrapped up in your own fantasy world.
"Hollywood and Los Angeles are wonderful places when you're doing alright, but when you're not."
Holmes – an experienced figure in the world of showbiz – shared his own experience of 'fakery' in the industry, adding: "'I don't like this character. I don't like so and so. I like that person. I didn't get on with them'.
"That's what the business is based on. I mean, I'm like you [Winstone]. I get myself into trouble because if I don't like someone, they'll know I don't like them.
"And there are so many horrible people that you end up with. People say: 'Oh, he's lovely, he's fantastic'.
"If they say to me: 'What's that Ray Winstone like?' I'll say he is lovely and he is fantastic and people will believe me because I wouldn't say it if you weren't, but so many are just false, false, false.'
While Holmes didn't elaborate on who he was referring to during the discussion, the Belfast man has previously spoken about several high-profile feuds with former on-screen colleagues, including former This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield.
Last year the 65-year-old claimed Schofield 'deserves to be in exile' from TV and said he was 'addicted to fame, absolutely addicted to fame'.

'You could actually see it protruding — you could see the breast had changed shape, so I was getting a little bit frightened. 'So I went to my GP and he had a feel around — it was my breast implant. I went and I had them out and, for me, it was one of the best things I've done.' Josie, a regular presenter on the ITV show, had a breast enhancement operation in 2013 to take her from a B cup to a DD. It has inspired Josie to join forces with tombola bingo and charity Breast Cancer Now for their new 'eyes down, check up' campaign. Josie has been busy pounding the streets for the campaign, which aims to raise awareness of symptoms and changes to watch out for, as well as raise up to £1million for charity. BREAST cancer is the most common type of cancer in the UK. The majority of women who get it are over 50, but younger women and, in rare cases, men can also get breast cancer. If it's treated early enough, breast cancer can be prevented from spreading to other parts of the body. Breast cancer can have a number of symptoms, but the first noticeable symptom is usually a lump or area of thickened breast tissue. Most breast lumps aren't cancerous, but it's always best to have them checked by your doctor. You should also speak to your GP if you notice any of the following: a change in the size or shape of one or both breasts discharge from either of your nipples (which may be streaked with blood) a lump or swelling in either of your armpits dimpling on the skin of your breasts a rash on or around your nipple a change in the appearance of your nipple, such as becoming sunken into your breast Source: NHS

Patrick Kielty speaks out for first time since announcing split from Cat Deeley
The world of showbiz was left in shock after Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley announced their separation after 13 years of marriage last month. After drawing some unwanted attention earlier this year when This Morning host Cat didn't attend her mother-in-law's funeral, the pair made a joint statement on the end of their marriage. They said in a joint statement to the PA news agency: 'We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved.' Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty. Pic: Karwai Tang/WireImage/Getty Images 'We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected. 'There will be no further comment.' Both Patrick and Cat have been silent on social media, with Cat having been spotted on holiday in Spain. They have also not appeared on TV since the announcement, with them both being on break from The Late Late Show and This Morning. Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley. Pic: Stuart C. Wilson/Getty Images However, Patrick broke his silence on Saturday morning as he returned to his BBC Radio 5 show for the first time since the split. The Co Down native did not acknowledge the separation, instead joking about being overlooked for the role of Match of the Day host. He said: 'It's lovely to be back. We are coming to you from sunny Belfast, and we've got Michael Andrew looking after things here. We've got Sammy and Craig looking after things in London. Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley. Pic: Back Page Images/Shutterstock 'It takes a village, folks, to make this show sound so average, but it is not just me who is back. Oh no, what is this? It is a little welcome back letter from the head of the BBC.' Patrick then jokingly read: 'Dear Mr Kielty, thank you so much for your application to be a host on Match of the Day. 'Unfortunately, every other host employed by the BBC is currently working hosting on this show; therefore, we don't need your services. Don't call us, we will call you, Tim Davie.' He added: 'Thanks for that, Tim, I shouldn't have read that out on air.' It comes as recently revealed that Kielty is understood to be eyeing up a move back to Northern Ireland to 'regroup' after the breakdown of his marriage. It also comes ahead of this year's season of The Late Late Show, with sources telling us that 'planning' for this season is already underway, in efforts to boost the previous year's ratings. An insider told us: 'Pat is a bit all over the place at the moment, as anyone naturally would be. 'He recently lost his mother, now his marriage to Cat has ended, and the Late Late Show hasn't exactly been the ratings winner that he would have hoped.' 'So there is talk that he is strongly contemplating coming back to Ireland, at least for a while.'
