Created by music mogul Simon Cowell in 2004, The X Factor brought the world huge stars like One Direction and Little Mix.
With its prime time Saturday night slot, at its peak the show was attracting 19.4 million viewers.
But over the years the sparkle of the show started to fade, and it was was eventually cancelled in 2018.
Since The X Factor was axed, more and more people have started to reveal their own personal experiences with the show.
In a new interview former judge Dannii Minogue, 53, revealed how the "toxic" culture on the X Factor forced her to quit the show.
The singer and TV star opened up to Fearne Cotton on her Happy Place Podcast - who in turn revealed she was "sacked" from hosting the spin-off show, The Xtra Factor.
Both women joined the famous show in 2007, with Fearne only lasting one year on the series.
Speaking about her short time with the show, the podcaster said to Dannii: "The last time I worked with you was when I did one season on Extra Factor.
"Before I left/Got Sacked. Not quite sure, blurry lines. Very blurry lines."
The pair then compared notes on the gruelling work schedule, which included long hours that took its toll on them.

Dannii revealed: "The next day (after the live show) we would go straight into rehearsing the songs for the next week, which none of the other judges went to.
"And I was always there at 10am and I'd get home at 1.30am, it'd take me three hours to wind down from the adrenaline."
Echoing these gruelling hours, Fearne replied: "It was crazy. I mean, I remember even doing the judges, not the judges houses, what's the boot camp before that? Yeah.
"And we were all in this big house/hotel. I'm not sure what it was.

"And you would film all day until, you know, sort of 6am till midnight.
"You'd be on your knees and then you try and sleep and all the contestants would be up practicing their songs, playing the piano and you're like, this is torture. Absolute torture.
"I mean, the schedule was a joke. It's a hardcore show to be part of. It's one of those shows where you think, do I want to work in TV anymore? Like this is too much."
'TOXIC ENVIRONMENT'
Dannii then went onto reveal how the "toxic environment" created by drama between the judges led to her walking away in 2010 for the sake of her own wellbeing.
She admitted: "I definitely had a moment where I was just like, 'If this is what it is, I don't know if it's worth it for me'.
'I feel like I got caught up in a lot of kerfuffle where it was just not my personality to be involved.

'But I felt like there was a machine keeping it going because it was incredible for the show.'
She added: 'On my last season of X Factor, 20 million people watched the final, but I just got to a point where I didn't want to be a part of it any more.
'I thought, this show is going that way. In my soul, I'm going in a completely different direction.
'I dug deep into myself and found some strength [to quit].'
Dannii revealed that she feels she has been taken care of more whilst presenting BBC Three's dating show I Kissed A Boy.
She revealed there was round-the-clock mental health care to all participants and the crew, including her.
Dannii said: 'That was the first time they thought my mental health was important, ever.
'It would have been really helpful back in The X Factor days to have anything like that.'

'DUTY OF CARE'
Dannii and Fearne aren't the only ones to voice concerns over the impact filming The X Factor had them.
The show's host Dermot O'Leary - who fronted the series from 2007 to 2014, before returning for the final three series - talked about how the show would be different if it was on TV in 2025.
'If the show was made now, it'd be made differently,' the This Morning host revealed.
'The culture is different, but it was pretty much always celebratory.
"Look, not everyone on the show is going to knock it out of the park.
"Not everyone is going to have the best experience.

"But most of the people we had on were treated really well, and a lot of people who have talked negatively about their experiences are talking about what happened after they left."
Continuing he added: "So if there is a duty of care to be looked at, it's what happens afterwards.'
Former X Factor contestants Katie Waissel and Rebecca Ferguson have also spoken up in recent years about the toxic culture on set, calling for more duty-of-care in the industry — especially on reality shows.

Secret plans to propel Love Island stars onto ITV's biggest shows including I'm A Celeb and CBB revealed

OLIVIA ATTWOOD is Love Island's biggest success story and has become ITV's golden girl, with a slot on This Morning and her own stable of shows. Which makes her the ideal mentor for the new breed of Islanders. 7 Last week she met up with villa winner Toni Laites and her gal pals Yasmin Pettet and Shakira Khan at ITV HQ, where I can reveal big plans are afoot. The summer series was such a hit, this year's Islanders are to be cast on ITV's biggest shows - with bookers for Celebrity Big Brother, Gary Lineker's new show The Box and even I'm A Celebrity meeting the gang. A source said: 'ITV's talent team have been actively assessing the Islanders as they take on post-show press to cherry pick who'd be good on what as the channel is so keen to build on this series' success.' Sounds like their time in the spotlight is no summer fling. OLIVIA ATTWOOD has explored everything from granny porn to financial domination and foot fetishes on her award-winning ITV documentary Getting Filthy Rich. But until now the Love Islander has plucked her contributors from ordinary members of the public trying their luck in the sex industry. 7 7 That's all about to change, though, as I can reveal that for her upcoming fourth series, on ITV2, she's featuring the increasing number of celebrities turning to OnlyFans to top up their incomes. There are a surprising number of household names to target — including Bake Off turned Strictly Come Dancing hunk John Whaite, former Hollyoaks actress Sarah Jayne Dunn, ex-Towie beauty Chloe Brockett and Geordie Shore's Marnie Simpson. The production team are also casting across the Pond, where huge names such as TV personality Blac Chyna and Baywatch star Carmen Electra are on the naughty online site. A TV source said: 'Across the first three series of Getting Filthy Rich, Olivia's main focus was to show how very normal people were making a living in the sex industry thanks to the likes of Only Fans and other platforms. Olivia Attwood shares behind-the-scenes video from This Morning presenting stint as she dances with Dermot O'Leary 'Love Island's Josh Ritchie was in the first episode but nearly all of the contributors since then have been normal people who have flexed a career, hobby or passion like art or cosplay to make more money by going kinky. It is, though, increasingly hard to ignore the new phenomenon of celebrities now earning a crust by going X-rated — and for many it's not affected their day-to-day work. 'Olivia saw this as an essential topic for Getting Filthy Rich's fourth series.' Her hard-hitting shows have been streamed a mind-boggling 233million times on ITVX. I'm sure adding filthy celebrities into the mix will see that number continue to soar. KPOP Demon Hunters has become a monster success for Netflix, with more than 180million views since its June 20 release making it the streamer's most-watched animated film of all time. It's also made quite the dent on the music charts, having scored number one in the UK and the USA. 7 Now Netflix is cashing in with a string of sing-along screenings. A number of cinemas across London are hosting the events on August 23 and August 24. The film follows K-pop superstars Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong) and Zoey (Ji-Young Yoo) sing to save the day and seal the Honmoon. Which all means absolutely nothing to me - but 180million people can't be wrong. Visit for tickets. FREDDIE FLINTOFF is finally gearing up to film the full run of darts show Bullseye. After rave reviews for the festive special, ITV ordered a series and it will film next month. Teams of two can apply to take on Bully at A STRING of exciting new dramas are coming to Channel 5 as it revives the beloved format Play For Today. The anthology drama series ran for 14 years on the BBC from 1970, airing more than three hundred original plays during the run. 7 Now C5 has announced the first four standalone dramas which will launch its version. Confirming my TV Biz story, Anita Dobson stars alongside Nigel Havers, Tracy-Ann Obermann and Nina Wadia in Never Too Late, which is billed as an irreverent take on ageing that follows a rebellious woman who moves into a retirement village. Jessica Plummer stars in Special Measures, a state of the nation drama looking at the growing pressures facing schools in the UK. Sue Johnston and Paul Copley are in Big Winners, playing married couple Edith and Arthur whose life changes when they win the lotto. Finally, Alan Davies leads the cast of Intruder, a real-time, single-location psychological thriller about a national treasure confronted by his past. Production has begun across all titles with the first drama set to air on 5 at the end of the 2025. THERE'S not much that James May doesn't know about horsepower. But now he's shifting gear to explore an entirely different beast - the human body. 7 The Top Gear and Grand Tour legend will front an ambitious new series for Channel 5 called James May: The Human Machine. In the four-parter, James will examine and explain the 30 trillion cells working together to keep us alive. From the engine-room stomach to the wiring of the nerves, the air-pump lungs, and the fuel-pump heart – right down to the humble nostril hair and hard-working eyelashes. Along the way, he'll explore what engineering can learn from biology. James said: 'It's the most remarkable machine we have, and it's us. The human body; billions of components working together to keep us upright, thinking, and moving around without falling over. 'But it also goes wrong - leaking, aching, and disintegrating. 'As someone interested in how things work, I'll be taking it apart to see how it ticks. 'It's a miracle any of us makes it beyond br CATHERINE ZETA-JONES says she has achieved a career first at the age of 55 - finally landing a role which allows her to use her Welsh accent. The actress, who is back in the spotlight as Morticia Addams in Netflix's Wednesday, is filming new Prime Video series Kill Jackie. She said: 'I'm playing a Welsh woman, speaking in my own accent for the first time. It's really empowering, as an actor it frees me up.' THERE are only 130 days until Christmas so fans of The Repair Shop's Dominic Chinea might want to ask Santa for a very special gift. His pal on the BBC show Will Kirk has been taking arty shots of the metalwork expert for a pin-up calendar. He revealed: 'There have been some times when Dom has had a bit of a shave and trimmed the beard a bit and I have said 'Dom, you are looking quite handsome. Maybe I can take a picture of you next to that tree in the field. And we can make a calendar'. 'I do have about six different pictures of him at random locations with a bale of hay or looking out into the distance.' Dom sounds like a great stocking filler.

ITV Coronation Street icon 'lined up' for I'm A Celebrity 2025 stint after quitting soap

A Coronation Street star could be going on a brand new adventure after leaving their beloved soap role behind A popular Coronation Street actor is rumoured to be joining the line-up for this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! ‌ Adam Hussain, who plays Aadi Alahan, has been a fixture on the cobbles since his debut in 2006, alongside his twin sister Asha (Tanisha Gorey). ‌ Originally portrayed by Zennon Ditchett, Adam took over the role in 2020 - and it's safe to say Aadi's been embroiled in some serious drama. Particularly recently, as he inadvertently spiked Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) at a party last month. ‌ In an attempt to resolve financial problems arising from managing his father Dev's (Jimmi Harkishin) business, Aadi staged a fake robbery. When Dev discovered the truth, he was furious and demanded that Aadi leave the cobbles to live in India. Recognising it's time for a fresh start, Aadi agrees and decides to depart the cobbles, reports the Daily Star. Fans have been bracing for Aadi's exit since April, when actor Adam Hussain announced his departure from the ITV soap. ‌ On Instagram, he posted: "Over the five years I've spent there, I have learned so much about the world and the industry and now feel I am ready to spread my wings a little." Now, Adam is being tipped for a spot on a major reality show. Bookmakers Betway are confident he will enter the I'm A Celebrity jungle later this year, with spokesperson Mike Reading stating: "Adam Hussain looks set for a brand new adventure beyond Coronation Street." ‌ He elaborated: "With the I'm A Celeb lineup still firmly under wraps, we have priced him up at 7/1 to swap the Rovers Return for bugs, rice, and beans." There's also a chance that Adam could make an appearance on a competing soap, with bookmakers offering odds of 12/1 and 6/1 for him to appear on Hollyoaks and EastEnders respectively.

Perrie discussed her experience with agoraphobia in a recent interview. The star, who also shares a three-year-old son with ex-England footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, said she feels "fully in her element" while performing on stage. She added to The Telegraph: "But as soon as I'm back home behind closed doors, that's when the anxiety kicks in and I'm just me again." Perrie clarified she has "quite a thick skin" with online comments about her appearance or clothes. She continued: "[I can't help] but catastrophise about the everyday things that should be easy, like getting into my car and driving to London. "At the end of last year, my agoraphobia got so bad I could barely leave the house." The star also revealed having been "painfully shy" before her time on The X Factor. It comes as Perrie's bandmate Jade Thirlwall addressed being diagnosed with disordered eating at the height of Little Mix's fame. Since leaving Little Mix, Jade has admitted to putting on weight after the pressures put on her to be "stick-thin" while in the pop group. Perrie Edwards says she still cries over Jesy Nelson leaving Little Mix five years on - but insists 'we did everything we could' But the scrutiny on her changing body has not eased and Jade admitted feeling the temptation to go on weight-loss injections such as Mounjaro, or Ozempic as is the brand name in the US. "Little Mix fans were all about empowerment and celebrating your body however you look," Jade said in an interview with The Guardian. "Now I'm in my 30s and the healthiest I've ever been, but every time I post a picture, there are comments saying, 'She must be pregnant'... people are used to seeing me in a group environment five or 10 years ago when I was stick-thin because I was in my early 20s with an eating disorder.' Jade added that she did not realise in the moment that she had a disordered eating issue. "But when I look back at photos of periods when I was quite unhappy, I think, 'wow, girlie, you were very, very thin'," she explained. The Angel Of My Dreams singer got so bad around 2017 that her mum and a friends of hers drove down from her hometown of South Shields, near Newcastle.
