Rock Icon, 69, Looks Youthful in Bold Outfit at NYC Documentary Premiere originally appeared on Parade. When it comes to rock stars with style, no one does it better than Billy Idol. On Tuesday, June 10, the 'White Wedding' singer, 69, arrived at the New York City premiere of his documentary, Billy Idol Should Be Dead, rocking an all-black look complete with a skirt, blazer, and trendy boots. Idol completed the look with chunky silver jewelry. As always, his signature bleach blonde hair was spiked to perfection. Billy Idol Should Be Dead is a documentary about the musician's rise to fame in the late 1970s and 1980s. As for the somewhat shocking title of the film, Idol found it quite fitting. 'Well, it's one of those things that people usually say when they don't realize I'm still alive. They actually say that: 'Isn't he dead?' Yeah, I should be dead with everything that I did to myself. But it just made me laugh; the idea of that as the title,' he revealed during an interview with The Ankler earlier this month. 🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬 'I think the documentary has got a depth to it, as we really worked on it over quite a long period of time, mainly because the coronavirus was going on while we were making it. It kept getting stopped for one reason or another from the different waves of the virus,' Idol continued. 'But actually it really helped the documentary in the sense that we were able to massage it and really look at what we had and realize what we needed,' he added. 'I think we've got something really good. I think it's a really great documentary that shows a lot of aspects of my life.' Awkward! Tom Brady Gets Booed At Indy 500

Tom Brady was welcomed to the Indy 500 by jeers and boos, but the retired NFL star took the icy reception in stride as he greeted participants during a pre-race ceremony. Widely considered the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) by most NFL fans, Brady remains a controversial figure among Indianapolis Colts supporters, who clearly haven't forgotten the longstanding rivalry between the Colts and Brady's former team, the New England Patriots. Advertisement The Colts and Patriots share one of the most intense rivalries in professional football, having faced off in the 2014 AFC Championship Game—an event now infamous for the 'Deflategate' scandal. During that game, Brady was accused of having footballs deflated to make them easier to throw. Iconic '70s Rocker Releases First Album In Nearly a Decade

Iconic '70s Rocker Releases First Album In Nearly a Decade originally appeared on Parade. David Byrne may have famously sang about being on a road to nowhere -- but he's certainly headed for the spotlight once again with his long-awaited 2025 album, Who Is the Sky? The eleventh solo album from the legendary frontman for the Talking Heads, Who Is the Sky? features several characteristically ambitious collaborations between Byrne and prominent contemporary musicians, including the likes of Hayley Williams, St. Vincent and many other stars. The album -- Byrne's first in seven years, following 2018's American Utopia -- promises to be a return to form for the decorated '70s rock musician. As further proof of this fact, the 73-year-old Byrne is currently hard at work planning out an expansive tour promoting the album, which is planned to run from 2025 into 2026, featuring stops everywhere from New York and Los Angeles to Germany, Belgium and the United Kingdom. Who Is the Sky? will officially arrive on September 5, featuring a total of 12 songs arranged by the Ghost Train Orchestra. The album is set to open with Byrne's single, "Everybody Laughs," which the artist has discussed in past interviews regarding the upcoming project. 'Someone I know said, 'David, you use the word 'everybody' a lot,'" Byrne said in a press release, as reported by Pitchfork. "I suppose I do that to give an anthropological view of life in New York as we know it.' 'Everybody lives, dies, laughs, cries, sleeps and stares at the ceiling," the accomplished Talking Heads rocker continued. "Everybody's wearing everybody else's shoes, which not everybody does, but I have done." "I tried to sing about these things that could be seen as negative in a way balanced by an uplifting feeling from the groove and the melody, especially at the end, when St. Vincent and I are doing a lot of hollering and singing together," the artist concluded. "Music can do that—hold opposites simultaneously.'
