A new RPG set in the Game of Thrones universe was showcased during Summer Game Fest 2025.
PlaySide Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced Game of Thrones: War For Resteros is a s a classic, premium real-time strategy PC game set in the vast world of Westeros. Players take command of one of the Great Houses – or the Night King himself – setting out to conquer the Seven Kingdoms solo, or in exciting and challenging free-for-all multiplayer.
'Game of Thrones: War for Westeros takes fans back to the Seven Kingdoms. This time, you're not watching the 'Game of Thrones' – you're playing it.' said Ryan McMahon, Game Director at PlaySide Studios. 'War for Westeros puts you in the seat of power, whether you're leading the Starks, Targaryens, or Lannisters, or even commanding the Night King and his army of the dead, you'll wield real power and rewrite the fate of the realm.'
Featuring a variety of location from the series, players can jump into skirmish matches or take on a longer war across the Seven Kingdoms, both in solo and in multiplayer. According to the developers, every decision will matter and every battle carries forward. Players can deploy infantry, cavalry, siege engines, giants, and dragons to break enemy lines as they work to outplay and outmaneuver rivals with inspiring hero abilities and the ruthless instincts of a true war commander.
One of the bigger selling features is how Game of Thrones: War for Westeros will give fans the chance to re-envision the most iconic battles and turning points from the Game of Thrones series—manipulating the politics of the realm to rally powerful bannermen, swaying loyalties, and outmaneuvering enemies in a shifting struggle for power.
While no official release date was given for Game of Thrones: War for Westeros the trailer did highlight a tentative 2026 release.

Wu-Tang Clan's new game blends anime with Afro-surrealism

Wu-Tang Clan has a new game. At Summer Game Fest 2025, Brass Lion Entertainment has introduced its debut game, Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver . In it, you'll have to fight alongside the group's members to defeat the invading forces of the Deceiver and to save your home of Shaolin. The game is an action RPG with "anime-style fighting and afro-surrealist aesthetic." While you can play the game alone, you can also team up with up to two more friends online, and all of you can customize your fighting styles and your fashion. According to The Washington Post , the group looked for a studio that can develop a game that can tie in with Ghostface Killah and RZA's upcoming film, the supernatural thriller Angel of Dust . That's when the members found out that Brass Lion's director of music and culture was American record producer Just Blaze. Bryna Dabby Smith, Brass Lion's co-founder and CEO, said Wu-Tang loved the concepts their company presented for the game. "The script is in the horror genre, but it really worked from an interactive perspective," the executive told The Post . Brass Lion was co-founded by Manveer Heir ( Wolfenstein and Mass Effect 3 ), Rashad Redic ( Fallout 3 , The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim ) and Smith ( The Bourne Conspiracy , Sleeping Dogs ). Heir previously said that the studio will focus on telling authentic underrepresented stories not just relating to race, but also to age, religion and sexuality. Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceive r will feature classic Wu-Tang tunes alongside new material, as overseen by Just Blaze. It doesn't have a release date yet, but you can watch a teaser below and look at some screenshots on its official Steam page. To view this content, you'll need to update your privacy settings. Taking the stage at Summer Game Fest 2025, Neowiz and Round8 showcased a dramatic new trailer featuring a plethora of monstrous bosses and brand new gameplay for the Lies of P: Overture DLC. The trailer showed off some of the new bosses that were mentioned during our hands-on preview with Lies of P: Overture, as well as several new ones and possibly a new character who looks a bit like Jeppeto. Players will be taken back in time to the world of Krat before the Puppet Frenzy and experience a world that is as beautiful as it is brutal. 'Lies of P was a historic debut for our team, and it felt fitting to expand the story we've crafted in the most noteworthy fashion during Summer Game Fest with a surprise shadow drop on all platforms,' said Jiwon Choi, game director, ROUND8 Studio. 'This expansion allowed us to complete the first arc of our story, and we hope our community feels the same love and support as they did for the base game. Please stay tuned for what awaits Geppetto's Puppet.' In addition to the DLC launch, the base game will receive a patch with two new difficulty settings and two new challenging boss battle modes. The boss battle modes are accessible via the Hotel Krat Stargazer once players have seen at least one base game ending. MindsEye x Hitman Collab Debuts At Summer Game Fest 2025

Build A Rocket Boy and IOI Partners dropped an all-new trailer for MindsEye during Summer Game Fest 2025, crossing over into the Hitman world. Build A Rocket Boy and IOI Partners dropped an all-new trailer for MindsEye during Summer Game Fest 2025, crossing over into the Hitman world. The trailer surprised fans with Agent 47 from IO Interactive's Hitman franchise. Agent 47 will be a future playable character in MindsEye for a specific mission. But IOI also revealed the fan-favourite villain from the 2006 film Casino Royale, Le Chiffre, will be an Elusive Target in Hitman World of Assassination as of today. The special Elusive Target mission will be available for one month. The new MindsEye trailer showcases the game's stunning near-future world, explosive action-packed combat, and the compelling journey of Jacob Diaz—a former soldier whose neural implant may hold the key to a global conspiracy involving rogue AI, corporate corruption, and humanity's survival. The Danish actor portraying Le Chiffre, Mads Mikkelsen, came out to talk about the collaboration with MindsEye and Hitman. 'Le Chiffre is a character I have always enjoyed—he's calculating, cold, and ruthless,' said Mads Mikkelsen. 'Bringing him into the world of Hitman makes for a thrilling collaboration. Players can expect mind games, high stakes, and twists that only this character could orchestrate. To succeed, they'll need to play their hand wisely,' Mikkelsen stated. The MindsEye x Hitman mission is the first collaboration announced, and part of the long-term content roadmap already planned following MindsEye's launch. In addition to the scripted campaign, MindsEye will be an ever-expanding player experience, with new studio-created premium content delivered monthly, thanks to the power of BARB's Game Creation System. Mads Mikkelsen returns as Le Chiffre, the iconic private banker to the criminal underworld, known for his mastery of games of chance and probability. A recent failed venture left him in dire straits, losing vast sums of both legitimate and illicit capital, and in a desperate bid to recover, he has arranged a high-stakes poker game at the Casino Monarchique in Paris. Agent 47 has been tasked with infiltrating the perilous event and will have to find his way to his target to prevent havoc being wreaked across the world. To celebrate the recent reveal of 007 First Light, players who play The Banker Elusive Target and who have signed up for an IOI account will receive an exclusive suit to redeem in 007 First Light. MindsEye launches on June 10, 2025, and is available for pre-order now (which includes a free upgrade to the Deluxe Edition). Pre-orders for MindsEye are available now.
