Game of Thrones: War For Westeros debuts at Summer Game Fest 2025
A new RPG set in the Game of Thrones universe was showcased during Summer Game Fest 2025. PlaySide Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced Game of Thrones: War For Resteros is a s a classic, premium real-time strategy PC game set in the vast world of Westeros. Players take command of one of the Great Houses – or the Night King himself – setting out to conquer the Seven Kingdoms solo, or in exciting and challenging free-for-all multiplayer. 'Game of Thrones: War for Westeros takes fans back to the Seven Kingdoms. This time, you're not watching the 'Game of Thrones' – you're playing it.' said Ryan McMahon, Game Director at PlaySide Studios. 'War for Westeros puts you in the seat of power, whether you're leading the Starks, Targaryens, or Lannisters, or even commanding the Night King and his army of the dead, you'll wield real power and rewrite the fate of the realm.' Featuring a variety of location from the series, players can jump into skirmish matches or take on a longer war across the Seven Kingdoms, both in solo and in multiplayer. According to the developers, every decision will matter and every battle carries forward. Players can deploy infantry, cavalry, siege engines, giants, and dragons to break enemy lines as they work to outplay and outmaneuver rivals with inspiring hero abilities and the ruthless instincts of a true war commander. One of the bigger selling features is how Game of Thrones: War for Westeros will give fans the chance to re-envision the most iconic battles and turning points from the Game of Thrones series—manipulating the politics of the realm to rally powerful bannermen, swaying loyalties, and outmaneuvering enemies in a shifting struggle for power. While no official release date was given for Game of Thrones: War for Westeros the trailer did highlight a tentative 2026 release.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Video Game Release Date Revealed
Netmarble and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have announced the release date for . Players excited for the action-adventure RPG based on the hit fantasy franchise will not have to wait too long to play the upcoming game. Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is coming to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as all mobile platforms, on May 21. Players looking forward to the RPG can check out a new trailer below. 'Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is Netmarble's upcoming action-adventure RPG officially licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on behalf of HBO,' reads the game's description. 'Fans of the HBO Original drama series Game of Thrones will be able to explore the seven kingdoms that make up Westeros in the game's vast open world, discovering vivid landscapes, massive cities, backwater towns, untamed wilderness, and the uncompromising lives of the people that inhabit them.' 'Players can freely roam iconic regions, such as 'King's Landing' — the capital of the continent of Westeros, the stronghold 'Castle Black' located at the Wall, 'Highgarden' basking in its warm climate, and the massive icy 'Wall' that stretches along the northern border of the Kingdom of the North,' continues the description. 'Through exploration, players will encounter familiar characters from the series on a truly immersive journey through Westeros.' Players who just cannot wait to play Game of Thrones: Kingsroad are in luck. The game is currently available as an early access title on Steam in three different packages. The Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate Packs cost $24.99, $49.99, and $89.99, respectively. Each comes with several different bonuses that fans of the franchise would like.
