Glasgow radio host sadly dies as station 'heartbroken'

Sunny Govan Community Radio said it was with 'deep sadness' that they announced the death of their 'dear friend, colleague, and longest serving volunteer' Graham Leggat.
In a Facebook post, the local radio station said Graham, who has been a volunteer at the station since 2002, tragically passed away over the weekend.
During his time at Sunny G Radio, the beloved man has been a 'familiar voice behind' one of its 'most-loved radio shows'.

In the post, the radio station said: "I'm sorry to bring you this sad news, but it's with deep sadness that we share the devastating news of the passing of our dear friend, colleague, and longest-serving volunteer at Sunny Govan Community Radio, Graham Leggat.
"Graham sadly passed away this weekend, and the entire Sunny G family is heartbroken.
"Graham has been volunteering with Sunny G from as far back as 2002, when we were finding our feet as a grassroots community development organisation.
"Since then, he has been a familiar voice behind one of our most loved radio shows, sharing music, memories, and laughter every single week.
"His passion for Radio and incredible warmth and wit made him a true legend not just at Sunny Govan but throughout the wider community.
"Of course, nobody could match Graham's signature sound the loudest YAAAAAAAASSSSSS in Scottish History!
"His mighty roar lit up the airwaves and brought smiles to countless faces over the years.
"This was Graham through and through bold, brilliant and full of heart.
"More than a volunteer, Graham was family to us.
"His kindness, loyalty, and sense of humour lit up our office, and his presence will be sorely missed by all of us who work alongside him.
"We are sending all our love and condolences to Graham's family at this incredibly difficult time.
"We will be sharing some special tributes in the near future to celebrate his life, and will provide funeral details soon.
"Rest easy, Graham, Sunny G won't be the same without you."
After announcing Graham's death, fans of the station flocked to the comments of the post to share their sadness about the news.
One person wrote: "Graham was a real character, I remember his trademark Yass from many years ago.
"I've really fond memories of how welcoming he was when we met on a few occasions.
"There are some tough miles ahead for his family, friends and all who listened to his enthusiastic voice on the airwaves."
A second person said: "I'm deeply saddened to hear about Graham's passing.
"I remember him from the early days in the police station—his energy, kindness, and passion for community radio were unmistakable even then.
"He was a true force of nature, bringing joy and connection to so many through his work at Sunny Govan.
"To his family, friends, and the entire Sunny G community, you have my deepest sympathy during this incredibly difficult time.
"His legacy lives on in the laughter, music, and memories he shared with all of us. Rest easy, Graham—you will be truly missed."
Meanwhile, another added: "Graham was a very special guy and I still think of him fondly after all these years.
"I still remember an event we went to together at the initiative years ago. He was a breath of fresh air and will be missed by so many.
