You can shop ASOS IRL at the brand's first-ever U.S. pop-up this week in NYC

Want to give your wardrobe a summery boost? You can do what you usually do and give the "New In" section of ASOS a quick digital browse— or you can shop that beloved British retailer IRL at the brand's first-ever U.S. pop-up store, which has taken over Soho 's 120 Wooster Street through Sunday, June 22. 'Bringing its trend-forward aesthetic to SoHo, NYC, one of the city's most iconic neighbourhoods for style and culture," per the brand, the immersive two-story pop-up shop features a curated edit of spring/summer 2025 styles across women's and men's clothing, accessories, and shoes, spanning exclusive drops, seasonal pieces and e-commerce collections. Shoppers are able to peruse both ASOS-owned and partner brands, including Arrange, ASOS's "premium, craft-focused label designed in London by a women-led team (and yes, that does mean dresses with pockets)" that launched this past March. And as with the usual ASOS digital experience, the sartorial stock at the pop-up boutique is separated into themed sections (think "Euro Summer" and "Party Vibes"), with items priced between ten bucks and $300. Can't find your size or favorite color in store? Given that ASOS is first and foremost an "e-tailer," customers will be able to scan the QR code on any given item, which will then take them to the product's specific purchase URL on the ASOS website. The UK-based fashion giant, which boasts 20 million active customers in over 200 markets worldwide, debuted its first pop-up store in London in November 2023. And if all goes well in New York, the retailer will continue to expand its physical presence stateside with even more planned activations throughout the U.S. "Right now, this is a test-and-learn moment," Sean Trend, ASOS' Managing Director, told Forbes. "We're focused on making this first activation a success and exploring how we might bring similar experiences to other U.S. cities. While permanent retail isn't the immediate plan, if the response is strong, we would love to take the concept to other cities, and we may even invite our customers to help decide where we go next."

Carlos Alcaraz's true feelings on Emma Raducanu as he makes relationship admission

Carlos Alcaraz's true feelings on Emma Raducanu as he makes relationship admission The tennis stars' new partnership has been announced after romance rumours swirled Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu have known each other for years (Image: 2025 Getty Images ) Carlos Alcaraz has revealed he made a "special request" to be partnered with Emma Raducanu for the mixed doubles event at this year's US Open, but she kept him waiting. On Monday, it was announced that the reigning Wimbledon champion would team up with Raducanu for the new-look competition in August as part of a star-studded line-up. While they are not guaranteed to qualify - with entries open until July 28 and only 16 teams making the cut - they are set to be the one of the biggest draws for attending fans if they make it through ‌ They will now battle it out with other pairs - including Jack Draper with Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen and men's world number one Jannik Sinner with Emma Navarro - in a bid to take home the top prize of $1 million (£750,000). ‌ French Open champion Alcaraz has now revealed how his partnership with Raducanu came about, as he opened up on the pair's relationship having known each other for many years. "The tournament told us about the mixed tournament," the 22-year-old said after beating Adam Walton in the first round of the men's singles at Queen's. "I was thinking that I couldn't play better if it wasn't with Emma. "I just asked Emma if she wants to play doubles with me. Yeah, I made that special request," he added before joking: "She took a while (to respond). No, not that much, not that much." Article continues below Asked how the pairing would work on court, Alcaraz continued: "She's going to be the boss. The US Open came to us and gave us the opportunities to play mixed doubles. I'm super excited about it. "I think it's going to be great. It was an amazing idea for the tournament. 'I've known Emma since a really long time ago, so we know each other. I have a really good relationship with her. So it's just going to be interesting," he added. ‌ "We are going to enjoy it for sure. I will try to put my doubles skill on it. We will try to win. But obviously, it's going to be really, really fun." Alcaraz and Raducanu have been paired together at the US Open (Image: Kate McShane/ Luke Walker/ Getty Images for LTA ) It comes after romance rumours swirled around Raducanu and Alcaraz at Wimbledon last year, with the British star seen in attendance at Centre Court watching the Spaniard win his second successive SW19 title against Novak Djokovic. ‌ While Alcaraz played down the suggestions of romance when asked why Raducanu was there, he teased that he wasn't sure if she "came to the finals or she came to see me," setting tongues wagging. "I think Novak and I always put on a good game, a show on the court," he said after the final. "I think it is a beautiful game to watch. And [Raducanu] is from here, so I imagine that she wanted to come and see it. "If there was a Grand Slam in Murcia, I would 100 per cent go to the final, even if I wasn't playing. I don't know if she came to the finals or if she came to see me! Who knows? You have to ask her, but I hope she enjoyed the final.' ‌ However, the Spanish star, who has also previously been linked with sports marketing and law graduate Maria Gonzalez Gimenez and Spanish singer Ana Mena, has confirmed that he is single "but looking for someone". "It can be difficult for a tennis player to meet the right person," he told the Molusco TV podcast. "Because they are always on the move. Who knows what will happen this year. Asked if he was seeing anyone, Alcaraz added: "No, no, no commitments for now, I'm single. I've laughed several times with people close to me, when I discovered that three or four players got engaged during the winter break. Article continues below "I thought it would be my turn, but not yet," he added. "It's complicated to never stay in the same place, it's difficult to find the person who can share things with you if you're always in different parts of the world."

England's first 'spicy' bookshop opens in London

England's first genre-specific bookshop has opened in London and is dedicated to selling 'spicy' novels from the BookTok-approved and widely popular romantasy genre With over 200 billion views on BookTok, a holiday romance is definitely on the cards for Brits, as the popular demand for Romance novels reaches new heights - and even result in a new bookshop dedicated to selling the best and spiciest summer reads. Perhaps influenced by the global isolation of Covid-19, the need for escapism has multiplied astronomically in the last two years, with "Romatasy" and "best Romantasy books" increasing in searches by 140% in the UK. To satisfy the insatiable appetite for romance, Saucy Books launched as England's very first independent bookshop. ‌ Located in Notting Hill, the store follows Edinburgh's Booklovers - the UK's first in-person store for romance novels, which opened in 2024. Saucy Books is committed to providing everything romance and hosts a vast collection of classic and modern authors, from Jane Austen and Helen Fielding to Sophie Kinsella and Beth O'Leary. ‌ "London is finally getting the bookshop it deserves!" is plastered on the store's website as they promise a selection of "steamy paperbacks to swoon-worthy summer reads," and "to celebrate stories that make your heart race". The store aims to create a community that hosts events, themed collections, and exclusive merch. READ MORE: Harris Dickinson cast as 'iconic' lead in adaptation of beloved British period drama Saucy Books are also curating a collection for this summer inspired by Roman goddess Venus, offering "a one-way ticket to pleasure island" with a selection of novels "that brings the spirit of the Greek isles to London, with seashell pink walls, sun-kissed shelves, and a whole lot of heart". The launch of the Saucy Books store comes after the Booksellers Association released a report that found that despite the decrease in independent bookshops, the ones that specialise in popular genres appear to grow in success. Help us improve our content by completing the survey below. We'd love to hear from you! ‌ The Booksellers Association report states: "These innovative independent bookshops are part of a growing wave of genre-led specialist stores which have emerged since the pandemic. Driven by shifting consumer habits, publishing trends, and the influence of social media, they have successfully engaged the next generation of readers". Booksellers Association president and owner of Sevenoaks Bookshop, Fleur Sinclair, spoke on Radio 4, about the struggle for independent bookshops to remain on highstreets. She said: "I think nobody can fail to recognise just how challenging it is to run any business in the high street. At the moment there's a very broken business rates system and little to no support. In fact, I'm going to say no support at all for high street businesses. ‌ "To speak of the positive side of things with the increase in the opening of other bookshops, particularly speciality bookshops. These are incredibly lovely and passionate projects and by definition they are passionate; they're not cynical sort of greed driven endeavours, shall we say, to grab market share. "These are human endeavours by people who put themselves out there, share what they love and create space. I think many people recognize that, and that's such a wonderful way to build community, which is what bookshops do so brilliantly," Sinclair added. Meryl Halls, the managing director of the Booksellers Association, spoke to the Mirror exclusively, saying: "Independent bookshops punch above their weight because they sense where the cultural winds are blowing. Whether it be stepping in when local libraries close by taking authors into schools, building community wellness through book clubs, or reaching new readers with book box subscriptions - they are masters of adaptation. "The rise of genre-specialist shops is only the latest evolution by a retail sector defined by innovation - this time fuelled by TikTok's influence, a renewed appetite for genre fiction in uncertain times, and the desire for inclusive, welcoming spaces where fan communities can come together".
