Liverpool ‘set to agree' 2 transfers before end of window amid Jayden Danns dilemma

Two Liverpool players are expected to leave the club before the transfer shuts next Monday, according to a recent report.
It has been an extremely quiet transfer window for Liverpool who has seen fringe players Marcelo Pitaluga and Thomas Hill leave in permanent deals, while Calvin Ramsay returned to the club from a short-term spell at Wigan Athletic, only to head back out to Kilmarnock.
He wasn't the only player to cut short a loan move. Kaide Gordon was recalled from Norwich City earlier this month after a disappointing period at Carrow Road. The youngster played just five minutes across the last six league games prior to his loan being terminated but it was reported at the time he would likely head somewhere else for the remainder of the campaign.

The Athletic stated in a recent article that remains the case for Gordon, who has been training with the Under-21s since his return from Norwich. The winger has played 10 senior games for Liverpool and became the club's youngest scorer when he netted against Shrewsbury Town in January 2022.
The same report also claims Luke Chambers will look to secure a short-term move elsewhere. The left-back has spent the season so far at Wigan but a back injury has prevented him playing since October. Chambers started every game for the Latics before sustaining his injury.
Jayden Danns and James McConnell have also attracted interest from the Championship but Liverpool won't make a decision on whether they will leave on loan until later this week. Stoke City, Blackburn Rovers and Preston North End are reportedly interested in the latter and has played three times for Arne Slot's side this season, scoring in the FA Cup win over Accrington Stanley earlier this month.
Slot gave an indication earlier this month that Danns is very much part of his plans: 'We have three options, but Jayden did really well when he came in so we have actually four options and it's up to us as a club to make the best possible decision for the near future but also the long-term future of this club.'
As for McConnell, he has played twice for the first team in 2024/25 and missed the early months of the season through injury.
