Jak Roberto on Barbie Forteza, Jameson Blake's growing closeness: 'Bagay'

Jak Roberto showed nothing but support for the blossoming closeness between Barbie Forteza and Jameson Blake. According to Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras," Tuesday, Jak and Jameson became friends during an appearance on "It's Showtime." When asked about Barbie and Jameson's sweetness, Jak said, "Bagay. Bagay. Tsaka it's about time." Jak also revealed that he and Jameson have already talked about the actress. "Sabi ko kay Jameson, kung ready ka na—kasi may mga deep talks kami ni Jameson—sabi ko sa kaniya, mabait si Barbie. Alagaan mo lang," he said. In July, it can be recalled that the Kapuso Primetime Princess clarified that she and Jameson are just friends. Meanwhile, Jameson had "no comment" on their real score. "I would just say na we're just enjoying each other's company. She's a really good person and, ayun, we have common interests," he said. The two were spotted holding hands at the GMA Gala 2025. In January, Barbie announced that she and Jak had already broken up after seven years together. —Carby Rose Basina/MGP, GMA Integrated News

Is Abi Marquez planning to open a restaurant?

Is Abi Marquez, a.k.a. Lumpia Queen, planning to open a restaurant? On Tuesday's 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,' the social media star revealed her aspiration to open a restaurant in the future. 'Someday. But I will take my time figuring out my taste, my cuisine,' Abi said. Abi grew to online popularity for her cooking videos, and behind her successful online presence, she acknowledged the crucial role of her team. 'To make videos as seamless as that, they really have to take a good talented team behind it to make it kaya, ayan, we appreciate you, my team,' she said. When asked how she handles harsh criticisms, Abi said, 'Ako po, nag-start ako with understanding na food, really, is something personal to us all.' She acknowledged that everyone grew up with their own familiar versions of recipes, citing adobo as an example. 'So I've accepted that and really willing to listen to that, but for me, Tito, I understand na we have our traditional and authentic version of our recipes, but in order to keep our cuisine alive, we have to keep it refreshing, you have to make it more accessible to the modern cook or modern consumers,' she said. In May, Abi won the Best Food Blogger award at the World Influencers and Bloggers Awards (WIBA) 2025 in Cannes, France. She is part of the Kapuso series 'Sanggang Dikit FR,' which stars Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo. —Carby Rose Basina/CDC, GMA Integrated News

Following the floods, Ninong Ry looks for new a location for studio

Ninong Ry is looking for a new location where he could set up his studio after enduring the recent floods brought about by simultaneous storms and the Southwest Monsoon. On Facebook, the popular food vlogger said it was too tiring to even think of going through the same ordeal. "Sobrang daming oras, energy, at pera ang nasasayang tuwing mangyayari to kaya palagay ko, oras na. Oras na siguro para humanap kami ng bagong studio," he added before making a shoutout to his followers. "Baka lang meron kayong alam na pwedeng lipatan na location, pwedeng bahay, or kung ano man na pwede naming i-fit out na maging studio," he said adding his preferred some place with parking, near Malabon so that his team, presumably residents of the LGU, will not have a hard time coming to the office. "Sana hindi gaanong binabaha," he added. In 2024, he already endured the same thing when his Malabon home flooded because of Typhoon Carina. According to Ninong Ry, he initially wanted to stay put because "naniniwala kasi ako na swerte tong lugar na 'to pero hindi ba kung naniniwala ka sa konsepto ng swerte, dapat naniniwala ka din sa konsepto ng malas? Eto na nga siguro yun," Ninong Ryan said. Metro Manila and nearby provinces were submerged in floods after non-stop rains from simultaneous typhoons and the Southwest Monsoons. Several dams in Luzon also had to release water, adding to the flooding problem. — LA, GMA Integrated News
