Cheryl Burke addresses sudden weight loss after divorce
Cheryl Burke feels "better than ever" after losing weight.
The 41-year-old dancer - who was married to 'Boy Meets World' star Matthew Lawrence from 2019 until 2022 - recently shed 35lbs and insisted that the health kick came at a time when she was adjusting to various life changes, including going through a divorce and leaving her long-running role as a professional on 'Dancing with the Stars'.
She told US TV show 'Extra': "I feel amazing. I feel better than ever.
"I think my transformation has been more from within and doing a lot of work and healing and moving through huge life changes from leaving the show, divorcing, moving all in one year. I mean, no pun intended, but it has really taken a lot of weight off of me."
The podcast host reflected on her own journey with her bdy image, and noted that her weight has "always been an issue" to her because she had to focus on her figure so much for her career.
She said: "Being in front of the mirrors constantly, as far as weight or my personal story goes, it has always been an issue, whether that be from my dance coaches or just me in general, right? So it's nice to not have to think about it."
Cheryl recently revealed that during the height of her 'Dancing with the Stars' success, she travelled with a set of scales because she had become so obsessed with exactly how much she weighed.
She said: ", yeah, so I still think I have body dysmorphia. I mean, I'm currently, obviously, working through it all, but I was obsessive, you know? And I'm an addict and almost sober for seven years, but my brain is definitely, I get easily obsessed and addicted to whatever it is that I want to accomplish

She told 'Extra': 'There are people that want to be special in my life, but they don't meet the qualifications. 'The qualifications for someone to be that special guy is the credit score has to be over 675 because… I'm a firm believer that credit score shows a lot about a person, and if a bank wouldn't be willing to give you a loan for a home, why would I be willing to let you be in my body?' 'You got to have an EIN number, okay? And he has to have employees… If you don't know what an EIN number is, that just means you're an employee.'

Hollywood actor Brian Austin Green has opened up about the deaths of 90210 co-stars Shannen Doherty and Luke Perry, saying the tragedies forced him 'not to take things for granted'. In 2019, Luke Perry, passed away from a catastrophic stroke at 52 years old. And in July last year Shannen Doherty, 53, died from breast cancer after a long battle with the illness. 'Luke's passing was so incredibly sudden. He was young. He was my age now,' Green told Stellar. 'And then Shannen passing, too, hit home the concept of: we're not those kids anymore. 'We're in a new period of life where we have to really value the relationships with people that we have, and not take things for granted, because it's unbelievable how fast you can lose something or someone that seemed so invaluable.' When you have kids in school, it's a hard thing to do [to uproot them]. 'So we are looking at all options to see what makes sense. But having a blended family does not make things easy.' Aside from young Zane, the blended family includes Green and former Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Vanessa Marcil's son Kassius, 23, as well as Green's other children Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11 and Journey, eight, with Megan Fox. Burgess, who is originally from Wagga Wagga in regional New South Wales, tells Stellar that their three-year-old son is the glue of the family. 'Having Zane has absolutely bonded everyone together,' Burgess said. 'I was always incredibly close with the kids as our relationship grew, but when Zane came along, it was like that piece locked in where they were, like, 'Oh, this is forever.'' The 21-year-old conservationist - who is the is the son of late Crocodile Hunter star Steve Irwin - recently stripped down to his boxers for a Bonds campaign but ahead of his appearance on Dancing With the Stars he admits he hasn't been reading his direct messages because of the viral reaction to the risque shoot. "I'm in a scary place right now. I've been kinda sorta avoiding the direct message section for a little bit," he told UsWeekly. "The last couple months have been very eye-opening, that's for sure. And I really thought in modelling Bonds underwear or doing Dancing With the Stars, that sort of thing, I could bring in a whole new audience to listen to my conservation message." Irwin hopes his upcoming stint on the dancing competition will bring his passion to a wider audience. "I definitely feel like I'm really lucky that now I've got a whole new audience that I can reach and hopefully just put out a bit of positivity," he said. "You just got to give it your all. And you've got to try as hard as you can to have a bit of fun." He says he's grateful to follow in the footsteps of his sister Bindi Irwin, who won the Mirrorball Trophy in 2015.
