Ohio State women's basketball coach Kevin McGuff charged with DUI
Ohio State women's basketball coach Kevin McGuff was charged with driving under the influence last week in Dublin, Ohio, according to an arrest report obtained by .
On May 6, Dublin police were dispatched after a vehicle reportedly drove recklessly through a local neighborhood. The vehicle struck several curbs and drove through the lawn of a residence, per the report. When officers arrived on the scene, McGuff was in the driver's seat, and the car was parked partially off the driveway and in the yard.

When asked where he was coming from, McGruff told an officer, 'I live here,' pointing to his home. When asked again, McGuff eventually said he was from a dinner, and added that he didn't have anything to drink and had not taken any medications, according to the report.
McGuff, coming off his 12th season as Ohio State's coach, failed three in-car tests. One of the tests included the officer asking McGuff to say the alphabet from letter D to letter R without singing, and despite the instructions being repeated three times, McGuff could not recite any letters other than D, the report said.
McGuff agreed to step out of the car to do more tests with the officer but later refused to provide a breath sample, the arresting officer stated.
'The Department of Athletics is aware of an incident involving women's basketball head coach Kevin McGuff,' Ohio State said in a statement. 'The department is in communication with Coach McGuff and monitoring the situation closely. This is an ongoing, personal legal matter, and the department will share additional information at the appropriate time.'

McGuff, 55, is 276-113 in his career at Ohio State, including one Elite Eight appearance in 2023 and a 26-7 finish last season that ended in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Gray has the perfect size for a middle linebacker, and would look great in the Blue and Gold. 2028 Edge Jackson Vaughn Bergen Catholic has been good to Notre Dame, even though one of its former stars in Steve Angeli is no longer with the program. That didn't matter with the offer out to Vaughn, a 6-foot, 3-inch and 220-pound pass rusher. While he's not ranked at the moment, he has over 30-offers as he heads into his sophomore year. 2028 Cornerback Phoenix Evans Another New Jersey prospect getting an Irish offer, Evans is a bit on the smaller side at 5-foot, 9-inches and 160-pounds. That didn't seem to matter after his performance on Friday, showing that his size isn't going to stop him from being a high-level player. Evans also is unranked, but has over 25-offers, and should be soon. 2028 Defensive end Asher Ghioto Notre Dame has put extra focus on Florida prospects, and Ghioto is the latest from the state to earn an offer. At 6-foot, 5-inches and 240-pounds, he's got a very projectable body that could fill out even more by the time he arrives at a college campus. It's going to be tough to get him to leave his home state, but the Irish have shown that isn't an issue for them. 2027 Edge Chaz Gray It was a big day for New Jersey prospects, as Gray was added to the list that Notre Dame offered. At 6-foot, 4-inches and 225-pounds, he's the long, athletic and fast prospect that the Irish look for in an edge rusher. Gray is ranked as the No. 401 overall player in his class. 2028 Linebacker Allen Kennett Unranked at the moment, the 6-foot, 1-inch and 215-pound Californian did what he needed to earn a Notre Dame offer. He's a bit of unknown at the moment, but don't let that fool you. If Kennett is good enough to earn a scholarship, then he can play at this level.

South Carolina baseball lost its 15th player to the transfer portal on Friday morning. Gamecocks shortstop Henry Kaczmar has entered the transfer portal, The State has confirmed. The news was first reported by On3's Pete Nakos, who said that Kaczmar had entered with a 'do not contact' tag. While it's not always be the case, such a tag generally indicates a player already has their next destination in mind. He also slugged .486 and had a .394 on-base percentage. Kaczmar led the team with a .333 batting average in SEC games. Prior to his time in Columbia, Kaczmar, an Ohio native, spent two years at Ohio State. He was a Big Ten All-Freshman Team member in 2023 and earned All-Big Ten Second Team honors in his sophomore season (2024).
