Comeback Hints? NewJeans Set To Release Never-Before-Seen Content
Last Updated:
The band shared that they will be dropping never-before-seen content on their official YouTube channel.
K-pop girl group NewJeans has taken fans by surprise with a major update on their official fan communication app, Phoning. On June 10, the five-member group announced they'll be releasing new content soon, sparking speculation about a possible comeback.
Phoning is an interactive platform that allows fans, affectionately called Bunnies, to connect directly with the band via livestreams, messages, photos, and calendar updates. It also gives fans exclusive access to behind-the-scenes content.
In their recent post, NewJeans revealed that never-before-seen content will premiere on their official YouTube channel on June 12 at 7:00 p.m. KST. While specific details remain under wraps, fans suspect the release could include exclusive footage from the group's past filming sessions. As excitement builds, Bunnies are closely watching for any further hints about what might be coming next from the chart-topping band.
The announcement led to a significant buzz among the fans as they gathered on social media to express excitement. A fan commented, 'I think this is unreleased behind-the-scenes content from an old episode." Another fan asked, 'Did they decide to return?" While someone else wrote, 'NewJeans return…"
Various fans were seen raising questions about their label and parent company. Another one speculated, 'They probably filmed this before. ADOR will just do their work." Another fan commented, 'ADOR is good at work," while someone simply asked, 'Didn't HYBE make Phoning?"
The announcement came amid the band's legal battle against ADOR, which led to their hiatus earlier this year. The dispute started last year when NewJeans made headlines after publicly announcing their departure from ADOR, alleging mistreatment and a lack of support from the label. As a response, ADOR, a subsidiary of Korean entertainment company HYBE, filed an injunction to prevent the group from leaving and accused them of attempting to sign unauthorised deals.
Previously, the court ruled against the band and restrained them from pursuing any individual endeavours. At a recent hearing, the court suggested both parties settle things among themselves; however, NewJeans rejected the offer, stating that they no longer trust the label. This high-profile legal dispute brings more uncertainty about the band's return.

BTS' Jungkook sparks outrage with ‘Make Tokyo Great Again' hat, brand forced to apologise
BTS' Jungkook found himself at the center of a firestorm this week after a behind-the-scenes photo showed him wearing a cap that read 'Make Tokyo Great Again.' The image, snapped during rehearsals for J-Hope's Hope on the Stage Final at Goyang Sports Complex, triggered swift backlash in South Korea, where tensions over Japan's colonial past remain raw. The cap, produced by Japanese brand BASICKS, bore an uncanny resemblance to Donald Trump's MAGA slogan — a detail not lost on American fans either. In the U.S., where BTS has a massive following, many were quick to draw parallels to the divisive politics surrounding Trump's anti-immigrant policies, including those impacting Asian-American communities. BTS Jungkook seen wearing a 'Make Tokyo Great Again' caphttps:// — pannchoa (@pannchoa) June 13, 2025 Jungkook, just days after his military discharge, wasted no time responding. He posted an apology on Weverse, explaining that he discarded the hat immediately after realising its potential to offend. Adding fuel to the fire, BASICKS initially celebrated the controversy, boasting on Instagram about the cap selling out and even using Jungkook's image. Hours later, after facing mounting criticism from Korean netizens, the brand issued an apology. 'This design was not intended to convey any political stance; rather, it was an iconic way to express our hopes for a thriving Tokyo fashion scene,' they said, insisting no offense was meant. The incident also reignited scrutiny of HYBE's handling of scandals. Fans accused the agency of trying to deflect attention, pointing to the sudden resurfacing of old photos of NewJeans members, as tensions rise within HYBE's ranks.

Malaika Arora's favourite balloon facial exercise promises radiant skin: ‘Try this and you won't need a highlighter'
Actor and dancer Malaika Arora's sculpted jaw and sharp, angular cheekbones are not just a product of spectacular genes. She spends a significant amount of time dedicated to face yoga and sculpting to carve out her facial features. In a recent interview, her face yoga specialist Vibhuti Arora shared some insights into her routine. 'Malaika, she loves the balloon exercise. It's actually popularised as the balloon pose on YouTube, but in my book, it is the slapping piano exercise. This is a brilliant exercise for collagen boosting, face lifting, plumpening and pre-makeup, instead of ice facial — try this and you will get a nice, natural flush and you won't need a highlighter. You will radiate, you will glow inside out,' she explained. Dr Vijay Singhal, Senior Consultant, Dermatology, Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute, Delhi explained that the balloon-face exercise is a part of face yoga that involves filling your cheeks with air and holding that puffed expression—similar to a balloon. 'While it might look simple or even silly, this movement engages and tones key facial muscles, especially around the cheeks, lips, and jawline,' he said. Dr Singhal shared that by holding the air in your mouth for a few seconds, you're creating resistance for the facial muscles, which helps strengthen and firm them over time. This can aid in reducing puffiness, lifting sagging skin, and enhancing the natural contours of your face. It also improves blood circulation, delivering more oxygen to the skin and giving you a natural glow. According to the expert, incorporating balloon-face and other face yoga techniques into your daily routine can be a game-changer. 'Face yoga is a natural, non-invasive way to maintain youthful skin and support facial muscle health. It also relieves tension held in the jaw and facial area, especially helpful if you grind your teeth or clench your jaw during stress,' he revealed, adding that for those seeking an alternative to cosmetic procedures, face yoga offers visible benefits with zero cost and no side effects—just a few minutes a day of mindful facial movement. Further elaborating on the benefits of face yoga, he added that it helps in breaking the patterns of movements through which we hold tension, like furrowing the brows, tightening the shoulders, tightening the jaw, etc. by stimulating the lymphatic system, muscles as well as the skin, relaxing it of its tension-holding patterns in the process. 'The technique uses exercises and massages targeting the face, neck, and shoulders which has been found to result in a better appearance of the face due to strengthened facial muscles. Face yoga, along with reducing stress, eating well, and exercising regularly promises long-term effects in making your face look younger and tighter,' he said. Dr Singhal said that you can use face yoga techniques to target specific concerns like forehead lines, frown lines, and crow's feet. 'The acupressure techniques also used in face yoga can help in reducing stress, preventing headaches, releasing sinuses, and even improving the quality of your sleep,' he added.
