Young scores 24 points, Loyd and Bell switch roles and Aces roll past Wings 106-80
Loyd came off the bench for the first time in her first season with the Aces to score 20 points, and Kierstan Bell replaced her and scored a career-high 19. The duo combined for seven 3-pointers as Las Vegas hit a season high 15, with five from Young.
A'ja Wilson scored 14 points with 10 rebounds and seven assists for Las Vegas (13-13), which snapped a two-game losing skid. NaLyssa Smith scored 11 points.
Arike Ogunbowale scored 18 for the Wings (7-19) with Haley Jones adding 15, DiJonai Carrington 14 and Teaira McCowan 12 with 13 rebounds.
Young had 14 points on four 3-pointers for the Aces in the first quarter, which ended with the score tied at 27, and the Wings shot 59%.
Bell hit a 3-pointer to put the Aces up 39-36 midway through the second quarter and followed with another as Las Vegas surged to a 56-44 halftime lead. It was the 10th 50-point half Dallas allowed and the second straight.
Dallas only had 12 turnovers but the Aces turned those into 26 points while the Wings got 10 points off 10 turnovers.
Becky Hammon earned her 100th regular-season win, became the third-fastest coach to reach the milestone in 142 games.

Raiders Already Done with Last Year's Big Free Agent Signing
During last year's free agency signing period, a lot of Minnesota Vikings fans. . .yours truly included. . .wanted the purple to go hard after defensive lineman Christian Wilkins to shore up the interior of the defensive line. Wilkins wound up signing a five-year, $110 million deal with the Las Vegas Raiders. Well. . .he's available again. In a move that can charitably be described as 'shocking,' the Raiders have terminated Wilkins' contract. Wilkins played just four and a half games for the Raiders in 2024 before suffering a foot injury that ended his season. Because of the way Wilkins treated that rehab, according to the Raiders, the team feels that they're justified in voiding just over $35 million worth of the guaranteed money that Wilkins is still owed. As one wise man once said, 'There will be lawyers.' Wilkins has already filed a grievance through the NFLPA. It's worth noting that when Brian Flores became the head coach of the Miami Dolphins in 2019, the first player the Dolphins drafted was. . .Christian Wilkins. I'm not saying that there's any chance he's going to find his way to Minnesota or that the Vikings are even going to pursue him. Just a little tidbit to keep in the back of your mind. Now, I'm not sure what sort of physical state Wilkins is in at this point, though it's worth noting that the Raiders did put him on the Physically Unable to Perform List when they started training camp. Of course, with the apparent acrimony between the team and the players, it's hard to tell just how far away from taking the field Wilkins might possibly be. The other important lesson to be learned here is that a team doesn't have to spend money in free agency just to spend it. As I said, I was disappointed when the Vikings didn't land Wilkins, but the Raiders backed an armored truck full of money up to his house. As it stands, the Raiders wound up paying Wilkins a shade over $29 million for what amounts to about 18 quarters of work. And if Wilkins is successful in his grievance against the Raiders, that number is going to go way up. Not a great return on investment. Dolphins sign veteran OL, cut rookie QB Brett Gabbert
The Miami Dolphins signed veteran offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill on Tuesday and cut ties with undrafted rookie quarterback Brett Gabbert, the team announced. Brunskill, 31, spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers before spending the last two years with the Tennessee Titans. The versatile lineman has made starts at tackle, guard, and center during his career and started 24 games in his two seasons with Tennessee. In a corresponding roster move, the Dolphins moved utility offensive lineman Liam Eichenberg to the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. Earlier this year, the Dolphins allowed offensive linemen Isaiah Wynn and Robert Jones to reach free agency, and signed former Pittsburgh Steelers guard James Daniel to a three-year deal. Miami also selected lineman Jonah Savaiinaea in the second round of the 2025 NFL draft. Gabbert, the younger brother of former first-round draft pick Blaine Gabbert, signed with the Dolphins earlier this year after participating in the team's rookie minicamp on a tryout contract.
