Supportive parents Wayne and Coleen Rooney watch their son Kai, 15, play for Manchester United in the Super Cup NI as he follows in his father's footballing footsteps
The Rooneys travelled to Coleraine, Northern Ireland, to stand pitchside and watch Kai, 15, play in the youth football tournament, which kicked off on Sunday.
The married couple also took their younger sons - Kit, eight, and Cass, six - to watch their older brother in action ahead of Man United's match against Co Tyrone.
Ahead of the game, Wayne and Coleen were pictured looking every inch the supportive parents as they smiled for the cameras alongside their younger sons.
Wayne - who also shares son Klay, 11, with Coleen - cut a casual figure in an all-black ensemble and flashed a huge smile as he stepped out to show his support for Kai.
Meanwhile, Coleen looked stylish in a pink T-shirt and jeans, which she styled with a burgundy jacket.
Kai took to the field when Man United played against Co Tyrone at Riada Stadium at 7.30pm on Wednesday night.
Earlier in the week, Kai secured a huge achievement as he nabbed a goal in a 3-0 win over West Cork Academy.
Wayne himself played in the Super Cup NI before shooting to stardom and shared some words of support for his son.
When asked if he gives Kai any tips, Wayne said he simply 'lets him play and watch' and praised his son for handling the added attention because of his surname 'well'.
Speaking to Super Cup NI, Wayne shared: 'He just plays, that's what he's done this whole time playing, I think it's very unfair for anyone to expect him to go and do all kinds, he's just playing as a young boy, he's 15, just playing and doing it.
'But of course he gets different attention to his teammates but he handles that really well.'
Wayne played in the Super Cup - formerly the Milk Cup - himself in 2000 for Everton's Under-14 side and described the time as some of his 'greatest memories'.
The Super Cup is renowned for showcasing young and upcoming footballing talents and kicked off on Sunday and will wrap up on Friday.
Kai has been showing off his burgeoning football talent all season, and recently took part in a match against Glasgow Rangers in the Super Cup NI.
United beat Rangers 2-0 as they continue their trajectory towards the top of Group C of the Premier section. Both goals were scored by Abdoulaye Douka Nkoto.
Manchester United have been sending a youth squad to the tournament for 40 years, with the team winning 3-0 win over West Cork Academy on Monday.
One of the goals was scored by Kai, who has been making waves at the tournament as one of the younger players to watch for the future.
The trip to Northern Ireland comes after Coleen, who has previously revealed her down-to-earth holiday tastes include locations such as Butlin's, attended Together Again Festival with three of her sons at Bolesworth Castle in Cheshire.
The family enjoyed performances from Olly Murs, Jamie Webster and Dizzee Rascal, with Coleen seen singing away in the audience.
Sharing a series of photos to Instagram on Monday, she gave an insight into their festival fun, where weekend tickets cost £199.
In a series of snaps where the family posed with Jamie Website, she wrote: 'Thank you for looking after us Together Again Fest… fantastic set up!!
'And thanks for the photos and lovely to finally meet you Jamie Webster…. Kids had a ball.'

Borussia Dortmund have reservations over re-signing Jadon Sancho from Man Utd
Manchester United's plan to sell Jadon Sancho has taken another blow with Borussia Dortmund reportedly getting cold feet over the transfer. Earlier this summer, the winger was one of five United players told they have no future in Ruben Amorim's team. Marcus Rashford has left for Barcelona but the club is struggling to offload Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia. Sancho spent last season on loan at Chelsea and looked set to join them permanently, only for the Blues to pay a £5million penalty to cancel the transfer. Juventus have been linked with the former Three Lions star all summer but it is said they have now cooled their interest, while Dortmund are now considering whether to sign Sancho for a third time. Wake up to find news on your club in your inbox every morning with Metro's Football Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your team in the link so we can send you football news tailored to you. His first spell in Germany, after joining from Manchester City's academy, was a great success, recording 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 games, form that lead to the ill-fated £73m move to Old Trafford. The 25-year-old returned on loan for the second-half of the 2023/24 season after his public fallout with Erik ten Hag and helped Dortmund reach the Champions League final. Sancho is willing to slash his wages by half in order to facilitate a move, while United's asking price has fallen to around £17m as they look to cash-in on the forward, whose contract expires next year. While this should make a transfer to Dortmund more financially viable, Sky Sports Germany report that the Bundesliga giants have some reservations over doing a deal. It is said that though they admire Sancho, they are wary of being criticised for a lack of creativity in the transfer market, especially after an underwhelming 2024/25 campaign. Moreover, there are question marks over the player due to him being rejected by both United and Chelsea, despite his obvious talent. More Trending Dortmund manager Niko Kovac has refused to discuss the prospect of signing the 23-cap England star, but sporting director Sebastian Kehl has confirmed it is possibility. '[Sancho] is constantly being linked with us. I understand the desire,' Kehl said. 'We're thinking about it within our possibilities. The conditions have to be right. We will definitely do something, but we're limited. 'We have various targets. We have a few days left.' For more stories like this, check our sport page. Newcastle reject formal bid from Liverpool for Alexander Isak
Newcastle have rejected an offer from Liverpool for striker Alexander Isak. The Sweden international has told the Carabao Cup winners he wants to explore the possibility of a move away from St James' Park and Liverpool, who had made an inquiry about the 25-year-old last month, followed it up with a formal bid. Isak would be expected to command a price of over £100m and more than the club record sum Liverpool have paid for Florian Wirtz this summer. Newcastle had long maintained that Isak was not for sale, but Liverpool are testing that position and manager Eddie Howe has admitted his top scorer's future could be out of his hands. Howe left Isak out of the defeat to Celtic because of speculation and Isak missed Newcastle's pre-season tour of Asia with what the club described as a minor thigh injury, while he has been training with his former club Real Sociedad in a bid to return to fitness. Liverpool have spent around £250m this summer, which can rise to £300m including add-ons and the deal for goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, which was announced last year, but the Premier League champions are determined to be ambitious in their recruitment and head coach Arne Slot has said they will target the best players. They have brought in around £130m this summer, with the £65.5m sale of Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich meaning they have lost one attacker. The Colombian spent some of last season operating as a centre-forward and scored 17 goals in the campaign. However, Liverpool have already paid an initial £69m for Hugo Ekitike, who they see primarily as a No 9 and who was also a target for Newcastle. Newcastle have also been frustrated in their attempts to buy a host of other forwards, including Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Bryan Mbeumo but while they are interested in Brentford's Yoane Wissa, they are yet to conclude a deal for him, while their only major signing this transfer window is winger Anthony Elanga. Isak scored 23 Premier League goals for Newcastle last season as well as a Carabao Cup final strike against Liverpool. He has three years left on his contract at Newcastle but is now unlikely to sign an extension.

Glorious Goodwood racing tips: Best bets and odds for day five
Al Aasy (Goodwood, 13.20) – 0.5pt win @ 6/4 (William Hill) Aeronautic (Goodwood, 13.55) – 1pt win @ 13/2 (bet365) Goodie Two Shoes (Goodwood, 14.30) – 1pt win @ 4/1 (William Hill) Circe (Goodwood, 15.05) – 0.5pt each-way @ 11/1 (bet365) Headmaster (Goodwood, 15.45) – 0.5pt each-way @ 14/1 (BetVictor) Isaac Newton (Goodwood, 16.20) – 1pt win @ Evens (Ladbrokes) Indalo (Goodwood, 16.55) – 0.5pt each-way @ 11/1 (William Hill) The 2025 edition of Glorious Goodwood wraps on Saturday with a seven-race card, headlined by the cavalry charge that is the prestigious Stewards' Cup. Racing correspondent Jonathan Doidge aims to finish Goodwood with a flourish and has been through the best betting sites when making a selection for each and every race on day five. Coral Glorious Stakes tips (13.20) This looks a trappy contest and the safest option, albeit at short odds, looks like last year's winner Al Aasy. However, he's not in the form he was coming into this last year and this is no done deal. Stablemate Candleford got back on track with a win at Beverley last time and although he is 3lb worse off with the favourite compared to if this were a handicap, he can't be ruled out. Similarly, Meydaan has a touch of class and is only 1lb 'wrong' with the market leader, but again, he's not been at his best this season, so the suggestion is to side with the favourite in the Goodwood odds to small stakes. Coral Summer Handicap tips (13.55) Another open contest where a maximum field of 14 has been declared. The Johnstons, Charlie and Mark have farmed this race, winning half of the last 10 renewals but they are not represented this time. Again, several can have serious cases made, including Sam Hawkens, who is clearly an improver and may well have more to come going up in trip again. However, we'll take the field on with the Irish raider, Aeronautic. Joseph O'Brien's charge is another whose stock is on the rise. He's already won over 1m5f and was stepped up to this distance at Royal Ascot last time, when he ran really well to finish under four lengths behind French Master in fifth place. He was a little too keen for comfort there, and if he can settle better, then that could be the route to further success in this contest. Goodwood tip 2: Aeronautic (Goodwood, 13.55) – 1pt win @ 13/2 (bet365) Qatar Lillie Langtry Stakes tips (14.30) Last year's winner Term Of Endearment is much respected. He won this for Henry de Bromhead and has since switched to William Haggas, for whom he is yet to win in three starts this season. One of his three starts was not far short of last year's winning effort here, but he's been a few pounds below that either side. The return here could galvanise him to greater heights but we'll side with Joseph O'Brien's Goodie Two Shoes to make it a quickfire double on the card. She's a mare on the upgrade in 2025, having won successive Listed races at Gowran Park (1m6f, good) and Down Royal (2m, good), before stepping up successfully to Group 3 company at Fairyhouse (1m6f, good). She looks ready for the step up again to Group 2 level and she is taken on horse racing betting sites to continue her excellent run of form with another win. Goodwood tip 3: Goodie Two Shoes (Goodwood, 14.30) – 1pt win @ 4/1 (William Hill) Stewards' Cup tips (15.05) As ever, this looks devilishly difficult and includes last year's winner Get It and dual previous winner, Commanche Falls. Favourites have won just three of the last 10 renewals and the other seven winners have all been double-figure prices. Get It can again have a pretty strong case made and I wouldn't put off anyone set on backing him to follow up, as he's improved and is 6lb higher this time, reflecting that. However, another on an upward trajectory is Circe. Ryan Moore has been booked for the mount on the Richard Hannon-trained filly and the last time he rode her, she won. We should take the hint. She goes well on a sound surface and comes here on the back of a career-best effort, when racing prominently before scoring at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) last month. There looks to be some value in her price on betting apps and she looks a serious each-way player and with some luck in running, might prove good enough to win it. Goodwood tip 4: Circe (Goodwood, 15.05) – 0.5pt each-way @ 11/1 (bet365) Whispering Angel Handicap tips (15.45) Yet another of the many wide open looking handicaps this week, this time over 7f and there are plenty in with chances. There's a really interesting each-way bet for us here in Headmaster. William Haggas knows the type he needs to win this contest, having trained the winner in 2017. His Dubawi gelding has not been out of the first two in three starts over 7f-1m, winning the most recent one, a Haydock novice event, decisively. That looks good form in context. At a big price, we don't have to play to high stakes and he looks worth a tentative each-way play. Goodwood tip 5: Headmaster (Goodwood, 15.45) – 0.5pt each-way @ 14/1 (BetVictor) British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes tips (16.20) Lots of unknowns here with the vast majority of the field having had only one start, so there could be any number of significant improvers and the market could provide some serious clues. Without that knowledge, we'll have to go on the pick of the form so far and that is very much with the likely favourite, Isaac Newton. There clearly can't have been a huge amount expected of the Camelot colt on his recent debut at the Curragh, as he was merely nibbled at from 12/1 in to 11/1. Under his claimer, he pushed the winner all the way to the line and just failed to score. That was a very promising effort and provided this doesn't come too soon, he could take plenty of beating. Goodwood tip 6: Isaac Newton (Goodwood, 16.20) – 1pt win @ Evens (Ladbrokes) Coral Golden Rewards Shaker Handicap tips (16.55) The totally unexposed Gladius looks to have the layers running scared in the 'lucky last' and no chances are being taken by them on the Andrew Balding-trained three-year-old. He could prove good enough but at a double-figure price, Indalo is an improving gelding and is another who should be thereabouts. Roger Varian's grey has won three of his seven starts but remains unexposed after raising the bar again with a comfortable success at Sandown (1m, good) a few days ago. He's gone up 5lb for that and is back up to a trip that he is also unexposed over, having finished a good second at Haydock on his only previous try over 1m1f. We'll side with him.
