However, a winged viewer flying by decided that the 48-year-old's coat needed some extra decoration.
And while he stood alongside colleagues discussing Hugo Keenan's last-gasp winning try, Will Greenwood spotted that O'Gara had been POOED on.
He said: "Oh a bird has just pooed on Ronan."
The group then shared a laugh at O'Gara's expense as he frantically tried to find where Greenwood had pointed it out.

A voice can then be heard saying: "That's lucky for some but not for Ronan."
Fans behind the panel also poked fun at O'Gara for the unfortunate incident.
Greenwood then adds: "La Rochelle are going to win the European Cup."
O'Gara eventually laughs off the incident, though we expect his coat to receive some TLC to remove the poo.

Daniel Wiffen narrowly qualifies for 800m freestyle final at World Championships

World and Olympic champion Daniel Wiffen has narrowly qualified for the final of the men's 800m freestyle at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore. The 24-year-old qualified eighth from Tuesday morning's heats, the reigning champion in the event from the 2024 World Championships in Doha touching the wall in 7:46.36. Wiffen finished fifth in heat two, leaving him with a nervous wait during the last remaining heat to see whether his time would be quick enough to progress. As the slowest qualifier, he will swim in lane eight in Wednesday's final (12pm Irish time). 'Obviously pretty disappointed with the overall swim of the 800,' Wiffen said after the heat, 'but we've got a lane, so we've got a chance to defend my title, and I'm going in with that mindset of that I can win this still, even though I'm eighth in.' Having failed to qualify for the final of the men's 400m freestyle on Sunday, he added: 'I just feel really weak at the moment. I felt it in the 400m and then I felt it in the 800m free, so something's going wrong, I just need to figure out what it is and then change it for tomorrow night's final.' Jack Cassin was also in the pool for Team Ireland on Tuesday, swimming a personal best of 1:57.04 in the heats of the men's 200m butterfly. The 21-year-old, making his World Championships debut, placed 20th overall, with only the top 16 proceeding to the semi-finals. 'I'm definitely happy with that,' the Cork swimmer said after. 'It's been a long season, so I'm kind of happy to drop some more time in that 200 ... Definitely have to refine some skills, see what I can work on for the next season, but it's definitely motivated me now.' Three Irish swimmers are in action on Wednesday. Danielle Hill kicks things off, racing in heat five of the women's 50m backstroke (3.10am Irish time), followed by Ellen Walshe in the second heat of the women's 200m butterfly (4.25am Irish time) and Evan Bailey in the eighth heat of the men's 100m freestyle (3.40am Irish time). The semi-finals in the three events will be held on Wednesday afternoon (Irish time).

UK singer cancels appearance at All Together Now due to 'continued illness'

British singer Michael Kiwanuka has cancelled his appearance at All Together Now due to "continued illness". The 38-year-old singer had a string of festival appearances planned for next month, including We Out Here and Victorious in the UK, All Together Now this weekend, Hungary's Sziget Festival and Pukkelpop in Belgium, but he has announced he will no longer be appearing at the events, or supporting Mumford and Sons across North America in October due to unspecified health issues. The Mercury Prize-winning artist was set to play the main stage at All Together Now at 9.30pm on Sunday. A statement shared to his Instagram Story read: "We are so sorry to announce that due to continued illness, and on the advice of doctors, Michael will sadly be unable to perform at the rest of his scheduled festival performances throughout the rest of the summer and the shows in North America in October (including the support tour with Mumford + Sons). "We know this is disappointing news to hear, and nobody is more disappointed and saddened than Michael to no longer be taking to the stage as planned. "Love and thanks to everyone for their understanding." (Image: PA) All Together Now said on Instagram: "We are sad to announce that @michaelkiwanuka will not be able to perform any of his upcoming shows due to illness. "We send our love to Michael and wish him a speedy recovery and hope to welcome him to the festival in the future." While many of the events have revealed they are seeking replacement acts, Victorious festival in Portsmouth have already announced that Kaiser Chiefs will be stepping into Michael's slot. They wrote on their Facebook page: "Unfortunately, due to ongoing illness and on the advice of doctors, Michael Kiwanuka will no longer be able to perform at any of his scheduled festival appearances this summer, including his set at Victorious. "We're sending Michael our very best wishes for a full and speedy recovery, and we hope to see him back on stage soon. "In the meantime, we're thrilled to announce that the incredible Kaiser Chiefs will be stepping in to perform in his place. Known for their high-energy performances, you won't want to miss them ahead of Queens of the Stone Age on the main stage!" Meanwhile, the Cold Little Heart hitmaker recently told how winning the Mercury Prize in 2019 for his Kiwanuka album helped him feel more free because he stopped "desperately" seeking validation. He told the BBC: "It sort of woke me up. "I'd been desperately looking for approval from my peers and certain [media] outlets - and the Mercury freed me from that desperation. "It allowed me to feel that, actually, I just want to make the records that come naturally." Subscribe to our newsletter for the latest news from the Irish Mirror direct to your inbox: Sign up here.

Ring begin search for Irish person to become voice of iconic video doorbell

Ring is in the hunt to find the first ever Irish voice of its Ring Video Doorbell. The smart home security company is launching a Voice of the Nation casting call across Ireland, kicking off in Cork in August. Ring will hold auditions across the country to find one lucky Irish person who will record a set of audio messages called Quick Replies, that will be available across all Ring Video Doorbells in Ireland early next year. Ring's Quick Replies act as an answering machine for your front door. Once activated in the Ring app, a visitor that rings the doorbell will hear a pre-selected greeting with the option to leave a message. Ring's Voice of the Nation, supported by radio presenter Carl Mullan, launches as new Ring research of 1,000 adults in Ireland reveals how beloved the Irish accent is across the country. More than half (55 per cent) of people in Ireland say they love their accent and wouldn't change it to anything else. People in Ireland can audition to become the Voice of the Nation in a number of ways, including in-person auditions in Cork, Galway and Dublin during August. Auditions are also open online – people can simply share a video of themselves saying a Ring Doorbell Quick Reply: 'We can't answer the door right now, but if you'd like to leave a message, you can do it now.' Auditions in Irish are also welcomed by saying the following phrase: 'Dia dhuit! Ní féidir linn an doras a oscailt faoi láthair, ach más mian leat teachtaireacht ghearr a fhágáil is féidir leat é sin a dhéanamh anois.' and post it on TikTok or Instagram, or share through their Ring device and Ring app. To enter, audition hopefuls need to tag Ring in their content and use #RingsVoiceoftheNation. The search for the Voice of the Nation in Ireland will be judged by a panel, including radio and TV broadcaster Carl Mullan, who will help select Ireland's voice. The search for the Voice of the Nation in Ireland will be judged by a panel Ring's Voice of the Nation Ireland pop-up auditions will visit: Mahon Point Shopping Centre (Cork), Saturday 2 August 10am – 7pm and Sunday 3 August 11am – 6pm (Lower Mall, beside Zara) Eyre Square Centre (Galway), Saturday 9 August 10am – 7pm and Sunday 10 August 11am – 6:30pm (Level 1, beside Penneys) Liffey Valley Shopping Centre (Dublin), Saturday 16 August 10am – 7pm and Sunday 17 August 11am – 7pm (Beside Penneys) It's the first time an Irish accent will be heard on Ring Video Doorbells, with Ring's research finding Cork (12 per cent) and Dublin (11 per cent) were the accents Irish people would most like to hear on smart devices. A quarter of Dubliners (24 per cent) would also prefer a Dublin accent on smart devices. Auditions will officially open from Saturday 2 August Carl Mullan said: 'The Irish accent is renowned all over the world and I'm buzzing to launch Ring's Irish Voice of the Nation to bring our lovely accent to devices across the country. There's something enchanting and melodic about our accents and I can't wait to hear what the people of Ireland come up with for their auditions.' Auditions will officially open from Saturday 2 August at 10am. Members of the public can share a video of their recorded audition on TikTok or Instagram by posting their clip with #RingsVoiceoftheNation and tagging @Ring alongside #RingsVoiceoftheNation. Irish people with a Ring device and Ring Protect subscription plan can enter by recording themselves filming their greeting on a Ring device, pressing the 'Share' button on the Ring app and choosing 'Share with Ring'.
