Covid hero Capt Sir Tom Moore's daughter reveals plans to write TEN more books
The daughter of Captain Sir Tom Moore is set to release another 10 books despite being criticised over her handling of the hero's legacy.
Fallen fundraiser Hannah Ingram-Moore, 54, is writing a slew of wellness and business books, plus her autobiography and kids' works. She has just penned the £8.99 tome Grief: Public Face Private Loss. It is described as a 'compassionate guide to ease loneliness, address the fear of lost memories, navigate emotions, and honour loved ones with insights from my personal journey'.
But sales have been sluggish and it currently sits at number 696,973 in the Amazon sales charts and has a 2.8 out of 5 rating. However, she is undeterred about putting pen to paper again and reveals on her website: 'I am currently working on over ten new titles, each shaped by different parts of my life and perspective; among them are: personal resilience, business resilience, business success, personal branding, reclaiming wellness, leadership and legacy-building, animal rescue and the dogs who've changed my life, children's books about kindness, empathy, and strength
'And, when the time is right, my full autobiography. Each of these books is driven by the same desire: to tell the truth with grace, and to create space for others to do the same. I never set out to be an author, but as my journey unfolded, I realised the power of using my voice with intention and the importance of telling stories that truly matter.
'Writing has become my refuge, a space for reflection, and a means to offer something enduring. I hope you discover something within these pages that resonates with you and perhaps even assists you in rediscovering your own voice, too.'
Mrs Ingram Moore sparked controversy after she and husband Colin pocketed cash from a previous book deal – giving none to Capt Tom's good cause.
A damning Charity Commission report last November found it was among moves by the Ingram-Moores to cash in on the fame of Capt Tom, who died in 2021.
The couple were also ordered to demolish a luxury spa that had been built in the grounds of their home in Marston Moretaine, Beds., using the Captain Tom Foundation charity name. Capt Tom – knighted before his death - raised nearly £39 million for NHS charities by completing 100 lockdown laps of the family's garden using a walking aid.
Publishers Penguin then agreed to pay a £1.4 million advance to the Ingram-Moore's private company for Captain Tom's memoir on the understanding a contribution would be made to charity. In the prologue to Tomorrow Will Be a Good Day, Capt Tom – who died aged 100 – wrote: 'I have also been given the chance to raise even more money for the charitable foundation established in my name.'
Mrs Ingram-Moore later defended the decision to keep profits from his books, which also included Life Lessons and One Hundred Steps. Most of the money from them went into the family company, Club Nook.
Earlier this year Mrs Ingram-Moore told the BBC she was sorry if the public felt misled. She said: "I genuinely am. But there was never any attempt to mislead and if there was any misleading it wasn't our doing."

A woman was left gobsmacked when she went into her local charity shop and found a designer jacket that was so cheap in comparison to what she could resell it for Charity shops can be so exciting, as you just never know what items you're going to find. The possibilities are endless, and some are well known for being stocked with designer gear. But when one woman saw the price of a well-known designer top, she couldn't believe her eyes, as they're reselling second-hand for almost £200. Emily, who posts on TikTok as @thriftingwithem, shared she had an "amazing find at the charity shop," saying she couldn't believe it. She noted that "as per usual, there were some stunning pieces" she found, but there was one top she couldn't stop thinking about. The mum is a reseller, so she will purchase things from her local charity shop at the reasonable price they command, and then she will sell them on at a higher price. She shared she managed to bag some Tom's espadrilles for £5.99, and then later sold them on for £20 when she took them home, photographed them, and put them up on the app. "I sold them within 10 minutes of listing them on Vinted," Emily boasted. Emily then showed off a dress that still had the tags for a tenner, which was "still on the website for £79," and a sweet Ted Baker dressing gown for £7.99. She found a Diane Von Furstenberg dress for £24.99, and it can resell, according to Emily, for around £150. There was a new Topshop dress for £5.99, and she said she "loved" it, and with the retailer having a resurgence on ASOS thanks to Cara Delevingne, it's likely a good time to purchase this brand. A Sea Salt Cornwall dress also caught her eye for just £7.99, and there was a Next denim top with a sweet frilly collar for £4.99. "But this is where it gets interesting," she continued, as on the video she pulled out a black top, which turned out to be the designer brand Off-White. "I found an Off-White jacket for £6.99. If this is real, there is one selling online at the moment for £180," she gushed, asking people to tell her whether they thought it was authentic or not. Emily also noted if this jacket was purchased brand new with tags from the retailer, it would've cost over £400. In the comments, some criticised her for reselling items from a charity shop, but Emily defended herself, saying the shop "knows" that she's a "reseller". Someone wrote: "Sorry, just to get this right, you buy stuff from a charity shop, and then sell it again at a higher cost for personal gain?" A TikTok user said: "From what I can see that [the Off-White jacket] looks legit." Lots of other people agreed.

She knew she had a problem with impulsive spending but she had never faced up to it, until now. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 Jo Beevers, 46, got her spending under control with an easy trick anyone can do The 46-year-old, who lives near Chester, had always been in debt and was stuck in a constant cycle of doing 0% balance transfers. But going from a full-time job as an medical conditions and injury rehabilitation manager in a gym earning £30,000 to a working as a registrar 16 hours a week earning £9,000, Jo had no option but to stop hiding from it all and gain control. Jo said: 'I had £9,099.82 of credit card and overdraft debt and when I looked at where that money had been going, I felt ashamed. 'My spending was reckless because the money didn't feel real and I treated shopping like a hobby even though I was skint.' In 2018 Jo's "you only live once" outlook on money saw her buy a Volkswagen Up! for £9,000 while her husband, who works in IT, was away. And after a boozy lunch popped into Boots and spent £300 on perfumes she didn't need. Amazon parcels turned up every day and she even had a monthly delivery of two bottles of champagne from its Subscribe and Save service. Jo said: "It was ridiculous. If I had to hand over £80 in cash for two bottles of champagne every month I wouldn't have done it. 'But because it all went on the credit card, I didn't think about it. I knew I was bad but I could always justify my spending." Done with feeling guilty, stressed and worried about her mounting debt Jo stuffed her credit cards in a drawer and was ruthless in cancelling everything that was non-essential. I racked up £15k debt - here's how I paid it off as a single mum Then, she made one major change, at the beginning of every month she physically took out the remaining money after bills and groceries. Jo created a tracker and, in the beginning, divided the cash into different envelopes but it wasn't as easy as she thought and became overwhelmed. Jo said: 'I made loads of mistakes in the first three months by thinking the money could go further than it did. 'I created too many envelopes and the money couldn't stretch as far as I wanted it to.' Giving up temporarily, Jo worked through the overwhelm of emotions and prioritised where her money should be going and got herself back on track. She said: "Holding the money changed how I thought about it, it made it feel real. 'I had sections for debt, achievable savings goals and for non-essential spending. "Once I'd figured it out it was easy. It's so visual, it works for my mind.' Determined to pay off her debt and to keep on track, Jo created fun trackers to gamify her savings and to keep her motivated. She shared her journey on social media as @Cashbudgetbee and her trackers caught the eye of her followers. Stumbling on another way of topping up her part-time income, Jo began selling them on Etsy which has made £2,000 in the last 12 months. Jo said: 'I never thought it possible to find a way of making some extra money from my own debt clearing journey. 'But it made me feel normal to know that there were other people out there just like me.' Staying motivated was hard that's why she made the videos to share with her followers. When Jo hit a milestone, she popped into M&S and bought some champagne to treat herself, but a £22 one instead of a £40 bottle. But it can be a slippery slope, and the entrepreneurial mum, had to reign herself in. She said: 'It starts with one thing and then you're going back into old habits. And you go, 'Oh no I'm not debt free yet.'' Eighteen months on and Jo made her final payment on her credit card and if that wasn't enough, she also went into Christmas 2024 with money saved. She said: 'Being debt free is amazing, I'm the happiest I've ever been. Having money to spend at Christmas, rather than relying on credit cards was a great feeling.' But while she's riding high on clearing her debts, Jo doesn't feel like she can relax her new routine. She said: 'It really does worry me that I'll slip back as I've got 30 years-worth of spending habits to break. 'I've noticed some of my old shopping habits are sneaking back in. On Valentine's Day I didn't put anything in the budget as we hadn't planned anything. 'Then the day before I was online and putting all sorts in my basket, thankfully I was able to recognise what I was doing and stopped. All I can do is to keep trying.' Jo is giving herself new challenges to keep the momentum going and recently created an e-book sharing her own journey which she's already made £180 from.
