Julio Rodriguez hits 100th career homer as Mariners edge Rangers
Jorge Polanco and J.P. Crawford also went deep for the Mariners, who took three of four games in the series between the American League West rivals and improved to 10-3 against Texas this season.
Rodriguez's two-run homer in the third inning off Jacob deGrom (10-4) was the 100th of his career and made him the first player in major league history to have 20 homers and 20 stolen bases in each of their first four years.
Adolis Garcia went 3-for-3 with a double and home run for the Rangers and Corey Seager also homered.
Rookie Logan Evans (5-4) remained unbeaten in six starts at T-Mobile Park. The right-hander allowed three runs on five hits over five innings, with no walks and three strikeouts.
Andres Munoz pitched a scoreless ninth for his 25th save of the season.
Polanco homered to right field with one out in the bottom of the second to open the scoring.
The Rangers took the lead in the third as Josh Smith lined a two-out single to right and Seager hit a shot to deep left-center that just eluded Rodriguez's reach and bounced off the top of the outfield wall and over.
Cal Raleigh walked with two outs in the bottom of the inning and Rodriguez homered to right-center to put Seattle up 3-2.
Garcia led off the fourth with a double into the left-field corner and, with two outs, Rowdy Tellez double off the wall in left to tie it.
The Mariners again responded in the bottom of the frame as Dominic Canzone drew a two-out walk and Crawford homered to right for a 5-3 lead.
Garcia went deep to left-center with one out in the sixth off reliever Carlos Vargas to complete the scoring.
DeGrom gave up five runs on four hits in five innings. He walked three and fanned five.

Celtic hero Chris Sutton taken to task as radio personality points out ‘you appear to have missed Rangers' great result'
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) IT seemed an innocuous enough comment. But this is Scottish football. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 Chris Sutton was impressed by Hibs and Dundee Utd's exploits Credit: Kenny Ramsay 2 Ewen Cameron Credit: Michael Schofield So perhaps no-one, particularly not Chris Sutton himself, shouldn't be surprised that he swiftly found himself taken to task for congratulating Hibs and Dundee Utd for their European heroics. Martin Boyle smashed through the century mark of goals for the Hibees as they recorded a famous win against Partizan in Belgrade. And Dundee Utd upset the odds too with a fine battling 2-2 draw against Rapid Vienna in Austria which gives them a fighting chance of reaching the Conference League playoff round. Hibs will take on AEK Larnaca or Legia Warszawa if they can make it past Partizan while Dundee Utd will take on AIK Stockholm or ETO FC Győr of Hungary. And quick as a flash, Sutton took to X to write: "Well played Hibs and Dundee United this evening." But he found his comments quickly pounced on by radio host Ewen Cameron, who presents on Bauer Media's Greatest Hits Radio Glasgow as well as hosting The Big Scottish Football Podcast. He pointed out that no such praise had been forthcoming from Sutton on Tuesday night, when Rangers put in an impressive display in a 3-0 first leg Champions League qualifying win against Viktoria Plzen. He wrote: "You appear to have missed Rangers great result on Tuesday night. "They won 3-0." Chris Sutton rinsed for going into bar full of Rangers fans on day of Old Firm clash Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page

Jason Kelce opens up on music career... and the chances of a collaboration with Taylor Swift
Jason Kelce opens up on music career... and the chances of a collaboration with Taylor Swift Jason Kelce is no stranger to the music business. Considering the pop star that his brother is dating, questions about a potential collaboration with Taylor Swift were addressed in a recent interview. The former Philadelphia Eagles center has previously been involved in two Christmas albums with some of his teammates - branding the group 'The Philly Specials'. Kelce, the 37-year-old father of four and co-host of the popular 'New Heights' podcast, revealed that he also took a keen interest in music when he was in high school. He spoke about the Christmas albums and his younger days as a musician on the 'Exciting Mics' podcast with current Eagles defensive stars Cooper DeJean and Reed Blankenship. 'We've done three Christmas albums - Me, Jordan [Mailata], and Lane [Johnson] - as well as a bunch of other Philly artists: the drummer for The War on Drugs, Charlie Hall, very connected in the Philly music scene and just music scene in general,' Kelce said. 'We've had a bunch of people who are actual musicians help us make that. And then Mailata... he can carry a tune.' Jason Kelce opened up about his musical career and the albums he made for Christmas Kelce also revealed to the 'Exciting Mics' podcast - hosted by Cooper DeJean (L) and Reed Blankenship (R) - that he played saxophone in his high school's jazz band DeJean asked if Jason would join Taylor Swift on stage if asked, which Jason shot down Kelce also opened up about being in a school band in his teenage years: 'I played saxophone in high school, that was a great time. I was in the jazz band. 'We would tour every spring - other cities to compete against other jazz bands. [We] went to Chicago, New York, Boston, and then - for some reason - Carolina.' 'I played bari[tone] sax, to be specific. And I now have a bari sax, but I also have four kids and a lot of other things happening so don't play it. I want to though, I want to get back into it.' After that revelation, DeJean asked Kelce if he'd ever play on-stage with pop icon Taylor Swift if she ever asked him to. 'Oh my gosh, I was about to say would I do it? I don't even know if I would do it, I'd be so nervous. I got nervous playing in front of my parents,' Kelce joked. Jason then praised the 'Cruel Summer' songstress, who has been dating his brother - Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce - for nearly two years. 'Listen, the music is... I don't think it was made for my demographic in mind, right? But when you go, you'll realize you know all these songs. Like even though you might not know you do, you've heard them,' Jason told the pair after they both said they'd never been to a Swift concert. 'The first show I went to over in London, my brother was telling me "Dude, this thing... you're gonna have so much fun". And I'm going there and I'm like "Dude, this is a blast". Like everybody is so into it and you realize you know all of them. 'Maybe not to the point where you know every single word, but you've heard so many of her songs - there's no way living in America that you haven't. It's outrageous, and the fans are so rabid about it.'
