In FY25 alone, shipment volumes from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh reached around 35 lakh+ shipments, marking a robust year-on-year growth of around 25 per cent, he said.
Shiprocket Yatra brought together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and innovators to discuss how MSMEs can leverage eCommerce enablement to unlock domestic and global growth opportunities, he said.
'MSMEs in India often face significant challenges at every stage of their eCommerce journey, from digital onboarding and order fulfilment to customer experience and scalability. Shiprocket Yatra 2025 - Hyderabad chapter highlights the importance of the key growth markets in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, said Atul.
The exceptional growth stories from our seller community in the region underscore the transformative role of eCommerce enablement. HC directs Himachal govt to release pension dues of retired forest department worker

Shimla, Aug 8(UNI) The Himachal Pradesh High Court has ordered the State Government to release the pending pension and retirement dues of Narender Kumar, a retired Forest Department employee, by counting his work charge towards qualifying service under the Old Pension Scheme (OPS). The judgment, delivered by Justice Sandeep Sharma in the matter (CWP No. 193 of 2024), came on a petition filed by Narender Kumar against the State of Himachal Pradesh and others. According to the verdict passed on August 4, Kumar, who began as a daily wager in the Chamba Forest Division in January 1990, was granted work charge status with effect from January 1, 2000, and regularized as a peon on August 25, 2006. He retired on February 28, 2017. The petitioner argued that his work charge service should be included for pension eligibility, which would qualify him for OPS benefits. The State opposed, citing his post-2003 regularization, which placed him under the New Pension Scheme (NPS). The court, relying on earlier rulings including Prem Singh vs State of UP and Viyas Dev vs State of HP, held that work charge service must be counted towards pension. Justice Sharma rejected the state's plea for delay and laches, noting that the cause of action was recurring and that the petitioner had earlier secured a 2015 High Court order for grant of work charge status. Directing the government to calculate Kumar's qualifying service by including his work charge period, the court ordered release of pension and arrears under OPS within two months, subject to the deposit of NPS amounts already received. Failure to comply will attract 6 percent annual interest. UNI ML MI AAB

Delhi traders concerned over certain clauses in GST Amendment Bills, says opposition

New Delhi, Aug 8 (UNI) The Delhi Assembly today witnessed heated discussions over two GST Amendment Bills tabled by the government, with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) raising concerns about their potential impact on small traders. Leader of Opposition Atishi claimed that the proposed changes could lead to arbitrary compliance demands and increase bureaucratic hurdles for businesses. Atishi stated that traders across the city had expressed anxiety over certain clauses in the Bills. She argued that the amendments grant the government broad powers to demand documents in any format, removing earlier fixed requirements. "This opens the door to arbitrary harassment," she said, adding that the lack of clarity could create uncertainty for businesses. The AAP leader also criticized the government's plan to provide tax exemptions to Special Economic Zones (SEZs), alleging preferential treatment for corporate entities while small traders face stricter compliance. "The largest SEZs in the country are owned by industrialists close to the BJP. While they get tax relief, ordinary traders are burdened with new restrictions," she said. Atishi demanded that the government address traders' concerns and clarify the intent behind the amendments. The Bills, which also reportedly affect the real estate sector, were to be taken up for discussion and passage later.
