I went to the new London riverside beach club that feels like you're in the south of France
AS the UK enjoys the prolonged hot weather, Battersea Power Station's new riverside beach club is just the spot to be.

There are a few different food options as well, including a pizza vendor, bao vendor and taco vendor.
All the prices are affordable, as they are small plates with a bao bun setting you back a few quid, and the same for the pizza.
I opted for the classic pork bao bun for £3.50 and the Baonut - essentially a doughnut - for £4.
Both were tasty, and enough to keep me going without feeling overly full.

There is even live music and whilst I sat enjoying the sunshine, a saxophonist performed adding to the feeling that you really are in some exclusive summer club.

Arguably, one of the best elements of ArcadeX are the gigantic daybeds - and to avoid missing out on them, you can book them prior to your visit.
The daybeds are available for two to four guests, with a duration of two hours and visitors are required to meet a minimum spend of £20 per person through food and drink purchases.

You can also actually go up in one of the original chimneys, with an experience called Lift 109.
At the top, the glass box emerges from out of the chimney like something out of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, to see amazing views of the city from a different angle.

Glastonbury founder says people who don't agree with festival's politics 'can go somewhere else'
THE FOUNDER OF Glastonbury has told those who disagree with the politics of performers at the festival to 'go somewhere else'. His comments come after the music festival faced backlash for keeping Kneecap in the lineup, after one member was charged under the British Terrorism Act. Critics included UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Mo Chara, whose real name is Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, allegedly displayed a flag in support of Hezbollah at a London show last year. Starmer said, in light of this, the Belfast rap trio should not be allowed to perform at Glastonbury this year. Ó hAnnaidh was last week released on unconditional bail to appear before a judge again in August. His defence team signalled that they will be contesting the charges , and the band has said the accusations are politically-motivated. Advertisement When asked by Glastonbury Free Press , the festival's newspaper, whether the event still stood for something, founder Michael Eavis said: 'Oh heaven's above, yes, of course it does. And I think the people that come here are into all those things. People that don't agree with the politics of the event can go somewhere else. Kneecap are to perform on West Holts stage this Saturday at 4pm. The music festival is broadcast by the BBC each year. UK Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch said it should not air Kneecap's performance . The BBC said in a statement to the UK's Independent newspaper: 'Whilst the BBC doesn't ban artists, our plans will ensure that our programming will meet our editorial guidelines. Decisions about our output will be made in the lead up to the festival.' Kneecap today released a short film called See it. Say it. Censored. A collaboration involving a number of artists, the film builds on reports from Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and UN agencies, explaining what is happening in Gaza. It includes testimony from Palestinians and doctors who have seen the impact of Israel's siege first-hand. Readers like you are keeping these stories free for everyone... Ibiza chaos caught on camera as woman is hit with chair in pool party brawl
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Ibiza's famed party scene descended into chaos this weekend – with a dramatic fight breaking out by the poolside. In a brawl caught on camera, revellers were hit with flying chairs. The ruckus was filmed and posted on Instagram on Sunday by @sanantonioibiza, showing a shocking scuffle at the well-known Marco Polo hotel in San Antonio. A seemingly peaceful day by the pool turned into bedlam when a group of revellers got caught up in an intense altercation, leaving bystanders stunned. In the clip, there's a blur of action as several individuals tussle and slip on the slick poolside surface. During the scrap, a bloke in blue shorts is spotted lobbing a chair towards others already in the water. A woman in a black bikini can be seen losing her footing and tumbling into the fracas, along with two more people stumbling over the chairs. A lifeguard tries to step in and stop another chair from being thrown but doesn't succeed, as the situation further deteriorates. More hotel employees rush to the scene in an effort to restore order. This all took place under a sign that ironically read: "Good Vibes Only." To add to the irony, Jess Glynne's popular tune "Hold My Hand", famously associated with Jet2Holidays, blares in the background throughout the incident. Some thought the situation was amusing, with one taking to Instagram to sarcastically write: "Yeah, a chair flew... but so did the vibes. Only at Marco Polo #ibizaexperience #ibizaunfiltered". Others could also see the humour in the incident. One laughed: "The message on the wall is the best thing." Meanwhile, another observed: "The more you watch, the more you see." However, others didn't think it was a laughing matter. Concerned for people captured in the footage, one viewer asked: "Is anyone going to see how that poor woman is doing?" Meanwhile, others linked it to wider issues going on in Spain. They noted: "No wonder the Spanish people are striking." One individual, who claimed to be there during the incident, offered their own take. They alleged: "The lads throwing the chairs were being nightmares around the pool all day and were from Ibiza Rocks not Marco Polo. "The blonde lad got started on and drops two of them so they get the chairs and start swinging them and that's the video you see… the lads that threw the chairs got kicked out and back to good vibes." The hotel is yet to comment on the viral footage.
