EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Surbhi Jyoti recalls shooting for Bigg Boss promo with Salman Khan; will she participate?
Surbhi Jyoti is one of the popular names in the entertainment industry who has been a part of the showbiz industry for a long time now. Over the years, she worked in numerous daily soaps. Pinkvilla recently asked Surbhi about her interest in participating in the popular reality show, Bigg Boss. For those who don't know, Surbhi had shot a promo with Salman Khan for Bigg Boss, and so we asked about her interest in the controversial reality show.
On Pinkvilla's Behind the Success, a special 'photo' segment was conducted where Surbhi Jyoti was shown an old picture of hers with Salman Khan. Sharing an anecdote associated with the photo, Surbhi recalled that the picture was from a promo shoot of Bigg Boss, which they did to create a buzz that she was entering Bigg Boss. Surbhi shared that it was a 'PR trick' during which she shot with Salman. When asked if she would ever do Bigg Boss, Surbhi shared her thoughts and said, "No."

Further, Surbhi Jyoti disclosed the reason for not having an interest in doing the controversial reality show and said, "I think I'm not that competitive. I used to be very competitive when I used to participated in theatre and in debates in college. I won so many national championships in debates. But that's what I wanted to do to just go and perform the character and say my lines."
The actress stated, " Bigg Boss is very difficult for me. But still 'Never say never'." She explained how she had come to Mumbai to do acting and to be a part of a competition. Surbhi said, "By nature, I'm not that competitive." Surbhi narrated how she doesn't wish to go "hard" on herself and said, "It's just not me."
Speaking about the last season of Bigg Boss, the 18th edition concluded in January 2025.

Besides Bigg Boss, Jasmin also participated in the action reality show, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi – Made in India. She also made her debut in the Punjabi film industry in 2022 with the movie Honeymoon, which also starred Gippy Grewal in the lead.

Main Bigg Boss ke nikalte hi maine ek film sign kar li thi, workshop bhi ho gayi thi, mera cheque amount bhi aa gaya tha, mera script bhi aa gayi thi, mere pass acting teacher bhi aate the muje sikhane. Mai zyada nahi bataunga. Acha production tha, achi cast thi. Sab acha tha. (I haven't told this to anyone. I had signed a film right after Bigg Boss. Workshops happened, my cheque amount also came, my script had come, the acting teacher came to teach me. I won't say much. The production and cast were good. Everything was nice)." Revealing what went wrong and why he lost this film, Abhishek disclosed, "Jaha humara shoot tha vaha ki dates mil nahi rahi toh vaha ki dates aage badh gayi. Aur voh dates meri Khatron ke sath clash ho gayi. Khatron mai chhod nahi sakta tha. (Where the shoot was happening, they weren't getting dates. So those dates were clashing with my Khatron Ke Khiladi dates. I couldn't leave Khatron)." But fir maine aisa socha ki koi agar mere baare mei itna bhi sochta hai ki 'Isse Bollywood cast kar sakte hai' voh bhi mere liye bohot badi baat hai (This is that one project due to which I felt bad. But then I thought that someone is thinking about casting me in a Bollywood film, which is big for me)." Abhishek emphasised that it was only this project which he had to let go, otherwise, he had been very selective about choosing his projects. He mentioned how all his projects have been hit, be it music videos or shows. Workwise, Abhishek Kumar is currently seen in Laughter Chefs 2. Meanwhile, he is also seen in a new drama titled Tu Haii Aashiiki.
