GAZA (WAM)The number of fatalities in the Gaza Strip has climbed to 56,077, the majority of whom are women and children, since the start of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023.The number of wounded has also increased to 131,848 following the death of 79 people and injury of 289 others in the past 24 hours.According to Palestinian medical sources, a large number of victims remain trapped under rubble or in the streets, with emergency and civil defence teams unable to reach them.

Abu Dhabi Judicial Department issues decisions on registration of lawyers, law firm representatives
24 June 2025 23:43 ABU DHABI (WAM)The Lawyers Affairs Committee at the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has issued a number of regulatory decisions related to the registration of lawyers in the roll of practicing attorneys, and the renewal of registrations for law firm decisions also included reviewing a range of professional requests and complaints, in line with the Department's commitment to continuously develop the regulatory framework of the legal profession, and foster a fair and transparent legal environment that keeps pace with judicial and legislative developments in the Emirate of Abu its regular meeting, chaired by Counsellor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Under-Secretary of the Judicial Department, the committee discussed the items on its agenda and made a series of decisions aimed at reinforcing the quality of legal performance and ensuring adherence to established professional this context, the committee approved the registration of two Emirati lawyers in the roll of practicing attorneys, following their successful completion of the approved training programme at the Abu Dhabi Judicial Academy. The move reflects the Department's commitment toward supporting and empowering national talent to engage in the legal profession with high levels of professionalism and committee also reviewed requests to renew the registration of 10 lawyers whose registrations had expired for more than two months, and decided to proceed with the renewal process after the applicants met all the approved relation to professional compliance, the committee examined eight complaints filed against lawyers, and issued appropriate decisions in accordance with the established procedures, ensuring justice, professional integrity, and the protection of the rights of all parties involved. The decisions also included the renewal of registration for three law firm representatives after verifying their fulfilment of the necessary requirements, in recognition of their role in executing legal procedures and supporting lawyers in performing their duties.

25 martyred, dozens injured in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza
Casualties in Sabra Neighbourhood Rescue and civil defence teams recovered five martyrs from beneath the rubble of a house bombed in the Sabra neighbourhood, south of Gaza City. The bodies, along with a number of injured individuals, were transported to Al-Shifa Medical Complex for treatment. Dozens martyred and wounded in Nuseirat Medical sources at Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat reported receiving 19 martyrs and 146 wounded civilians following a strike that targeted hundreds of people gathered for relief aid on Salah al-Din Street, south of Wadi Gaza. Among the wounded, 62 were in critical condition and were moved to hospitals across the central Gaza Strip.
