Green Bay will take a good look at its cornerback corps this week at mandatory minicamps to see if it needs to pursue a capable veteran replacement or merely add depth to the bottom of the roster.
If former Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl champion Mecole Hardman is any litmus test for that question, the Packers may need to find some better answers.

During a Wednesday practice on June 11, Hardman, who signed a one-year deal with the Packers in March, connected with Jordan Love for a 70-plus-yard touchdown.
The Packers shared the play on social media. While there was some chatter about the positives for the offense, Hardman isn't the world-beater he once was with the Chiefs -- leading to an overwhelming reaction of concern for the defense.
"We going to see alot of that on our defense if we don't get a pass rusher & corner," one fan replied on X (formerly Twitter).

"Yeah our CB room is cooked," a second fan wrote.
That secondary is going to be a serious issue," a third fan echoed. "Mecole looking like Jefferson out there hitting the griddy!"
" 'Offense turnt, DB burnt' is probably gonna be the theme this season," a fourth fan said.
The Packers are exploring all options at cornerback, including moving receiver Bo Melton to cornerback. It was an experiment at Tuesday's practice that may not stick, but it is an indicator that Green Bay is searching for answers at the position.
Nate Hobbs and Keisean Nixon are the Packers' projected top two corners, but both are primarily slot corners and lack experience as a boundary corner.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce attend Game 4 of Stanley Cup Final between Panthers and Oilers

Associated Press SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Pop superstar Taylor Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce were among the celebrities that flocked to Amerant Bank Arena on Thursday to watch Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers. Kelce, a Super Bowl-winning tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, is a known hockey fan along with his brother Jason Kelce. And ever since Swift and Kelce began their high-profile romance in 2023, the 14-time Grammy Award winning singer has been known to pop in on big sporting events — including the last two Super Bowls — and cause an excited frenzy for fans. There were rumblings ahead of Thursday's game that the couple might attend the final. A helicopter landed near Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida, ahead of the game. The VIP entrance to the area was also closed off and the media elevator was not available to be used for a period of time before pregame warmups began. Swift recently announced that she regained control over her entire body of work. In a lengthy note posted to her official website, Swift said that all the music she's ever made now belongs to her after she has purchased her catalog of recordings — originally released through Big Machine Records — from their most recent owner, the private equity firm Shamrock Capital. Over the last few years, Swift has been rerecording and releasing her early albums in an attempt to regain control of her music. Other celebs in attendance included former Miami Dolphins star defensive end Jason Taylor, who banged the drum before the game. Miami Heat captain Bam Adebayo was joined by former Heat captain Udonis Haslem on the drum on Monday. The defending champion Panthers led the best-of-seven series 2-1 heading into Thursday's game. ___ AP NHL playoffs: and recommended

Rare Feat at US Open as Star Golfer Notches Historic Albatross

Rare Feat at US Open as Star Golfer Notches Historic Albatross originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Heading into the 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club, much of the conversation was centered on just how difficult the course will be. Advertisement Through the early portion of day one, J.J. Spaun's -4 is the best so far, but we have seen many players struggle to make par despite the conditions probably being the best of the tournament. While the course is loved for being so challenging, amazing shots can be made and Patrick Reed delivered one for the ages. On the fourth hole, which is a 622 year par five, Reed hit a beautiful shot from 286 yards out on his second attempt and it trickled all the way into the hole. It's one of the rarest shots in the sport and just the fourth double eagle in U.S. Open history. To make it more impressive, he shot it blind, only realizing he made it because of the crowds' reaction. With one swing of the club he moved from one over to two under, which could go a long way for the entire tournament. Advertisement Reed, a 34-year-old American golfer born in San Antonio, Texas, became a professional in 2011 after helping Augusta State University win back-to-back NCAA Division I titles, and has since amassed nine PGA Tour victories, including the 2018 Masters Tournament. He joined LIV Golf like many other notable players in 2022 and his best finish in a U.S. open is fourth, which he achieved in 2018. Wisconsin Recruits Pushing Hard for 4-Star RB Latimer

Wisconsin Recruits Pushing Hard for 4-Star RB Latimer originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Wisconsin football team is in a great position to land composite 4-star running back Amari Latimer after a successful official visit at the beginning of the month, but that's not stopping the Badgers from putting on the full-court press. Advertisement Latimer is a highly sought-after running back prospect in the 2026 class. He holds offers from 47 Division I schools, including Wisconsin and some of the biggest programs in the country like Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, and many more. Wisconsin got him on campus for an official visit and took advantage of it. The Georgia native was scheduled to take an official visit to Michigan the following week, but canceled it and actually made a return trip to Madison, taking an unofficial visit. While on his visit, he spent some time with his potential offensive line, including current 2026 commits Maddox Cochrane and Benjamin Novak. Both posted pictures on social media, putting the pressure on the 4-star back. But it's not just the offensive line showing Latimer that he's wanted in Madison; arguably the biggest and most consistent recruiter in the 2026 class is 3-star receiver Tayshon Bardo. Bardo has been very vocal in his efforts to recruit fellow visitors to join him in the 2026 class for the Wisconsin football team. The Badgers and their recruits are making it extremely clear they want Latimer to be a part of their 2026 class. Right now, the class has 11 committed players, putting them as the 38th-ranked class in the country according to the 247Sports Team Rankings. Advertisement If the Badgers are able to add Latimer, he would likely be considered the crown jewel of the class. Latimer is expected to finish out the rest of his visits at Georgia Tech (June 13) and Georgia (June 20) before he announces his decision. Right now, things are looking positive for the Badgers. There are three Crystal Ball predictions for Latimer, all in favor of Wisconsin on 247Sports. We'll see if the Badgers can pull off a huge recruiting victory.
