Demi Moore made a rare comment on her ex-husband Bruce Willis since his dementia diagnosis.
The Context
The actor's family publicly shared his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis in 2023 after previously revealing in March 2022 that he had been diagnosed with aphasia.
Aphasia is a disorder that affects how you communicate, including speech, as well as the way one writes and understands both spoken and written language, according to the Mayo Clinic.
In their 2023 statement, the Willis family wrote: "Since we announced Bruce's diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce's condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD). Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis."
They added that FTD "is a cruel disease" that "can strike anyone."

In an interview with People, which was published on Tuesday, Moore, 62, was asked, "What are you most grateful for when it comes to your relationship with Bruce?"
In response, The Substance star said, "That regardless of what the outside relationship has been, we have maintained being a family in various forms. The foundation of making our children our priority has never wavered."
Newsweek reached out to Moore's representative via email for comment.
She added that she's "most grateful" for "my family, including my four-legged family, my children and all of the incredible, loving people in my life. I feel really so lucky."
Moore and Willis share three daughters together—Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 31.
Willis, 70, is a Golden Globe Award winner best known for his role as John McClane in the Die Hard franchise. He also appeared in such famous films as The Sixth Sense, Pulp Fiction and Armageddon.
What People Are Saying
In an interview with CNN's Christiane Amanpour in December 2024, Moore shared an update on Willis.
"Given the givens, he's in a very stable place at the moment. And, you know, I've shared this before, but I really mean this so sincerely: It's so important for anybody who's dealing with this to really meet them where they're at. And from that place, there is such loving and joy."
She continued, "I mean, obviously, it's very difficult, and it's not what I would wish upon anyone, and there is great loss, but there is also great beauty."
In February, Rumer Willis spoke out about her father on the U.K. talk show Loose Women.
"He's doing great," she said.
Moore and Willis divorced in 2000 after nearly 13 years of marriage, but their daughter, who is also an actress, said she has always admired their coparenting.
"The thing I'm most grateful for is that even when they split up, they created such a beautiful foundation of prioritizing my sisters and I, that I never felt like I had to choose—they never played against each other," Rumer Willis said.
"We were a family, and we still are very much a family no matter what."

More WWE Talent Releases May Be Happening Soon: Report
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez discussed the recent wave of WWE departures, including Sarah Logan (Valhalla) and the reported non-renewals of R-Truth and Carlito. He hinted that more releases could be on the horizon. He specifically highlighted changes to The Miz's social media presence that have fueled speculation about his WWE status. Following Logan's departure announcement, Alvarez stated he has "been told that might be others as well. So this might not be the end with Valhalla being released." The discussion then shifted to multi-time former WWE Champion, The Miz. Alvarez pointed to recent on-screen activity and significant off-screen signals: "Miz has not been doing much lately, and on Friday [SmackDown, May 30th], they did a segment he had just gotten put together with Carmelo Hayes as a tag team. They were teasing a breakup on Friday. And this was right when they cut Truth and Carlito, and now Sarah Logan. I've been told there were others." Alvarez reported, "And I bring up Miz, not just because of that angle, but if you go to his X account, there are no mentions of WWE. It no longer says the most must-see WWE superstar. He removed all references to WWE. It now says 'the most must-read X account of all time,' and that's it." While acknowledging The Miz is reportedly taping the new season of American Gladiators in London, which could explain a storyline separation from Hayes. Alvarez questioned the timing of the social media changes. "Now, I was told that he is doing the new season of American Gladiators or whatever. And so I know people are skeptical they would get rid of him now," Alvarez said (H/T to for the transcription). "But he did remove references to WWE from his social media. And I just think it would be a pretty lame thing to do that if you're not being released when everyone else has been released." Alvarez ended with a cautious outlook on The Miz's situation. "So there might where there's smoke, there could be fire, I will say that, but I guess we'll find out as the week goes on," he stated. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.

WWE's Major Plans For WrestleMania 42 Nearly Done: Report
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque announced on May 23, 2025, that New Orleans will host the Money in the Bank premium live event on Saturday, August 29, 2026. This decision came after WWE reportedly changed its original plans to hold WrestleMania 42 in the city that year. Following days of speculation after the WrestleMania 42 change, this announcement clarifies part of WWE's future major event schedule. New Orleans was reportedly promised a future WrestleMania and has now been awarded the 2026 Money in the Bank event as a make-good. With WrestleMania 42 no longer set for New Orleans, Las Vegas quickly became the favorite to host the spectacle for what would be a second consecutive year. While WWE has yet to make an official announcement, Bryan Alvarez, speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, provided an update on the situation. Alvarez noted that a deal to bring WrestleMania 42 to Las Vegas is now complete after significant progress. "Vegas is very close to being a done deal for WrestleMania next year [2026]," Alvarez stated. More news: WWE News: Steve Austin Reveals Real-Life Vince McMahon Confrontation "There were a few hurdles to be cleared and several were this morning. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 20: Digital screens display WrestleMania logos during the Undisputed WWE Championship match between John Cena and Cody Rhodes during WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium on April 20, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. MoreLas Vegas successfully hosted WrestleMania 41 in April 2025 at Allegiant Stadium, and a return in 2026 would mark the city's third time hosting WWE's grandest event, following WrestleMania IX in 1993. The hurdles previously reported for Las Vegas included potential scheduling conflicts with an unannounced concert at Allegiant Stadium and limited availability at the Las Vegas Convention Center for the accompanying "WWE World" fan festival. Alvarez's report suggests these issues have been, or are very close to being, resolved, paving the way for an official announcement from WWE regarding WrestleMania 42's location in the near future. The late August date for Money in the Bank in New Orleans is also a notable shift from the event's typical late spring/early summer placement on the WWE calendar. WWE fans will once again have to shell out big bucks to not only go to WrestleMania, but to stay in an already expensive city with hotel, flights and food. That is a lot to ask of fans, especially families. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.
