Texas A&M senior running back's health will determine the Aggies' 2025 offense success
Texas A&M's 2025 running back room has become a topic of conversation this offseason, both positive and negative, headlined by the health of senior back Le'Veon Moss and Rueben Owens, who are coming off season-ending injuries, which hindered the Aggies' offensive success last season.
While Owens played during A&M's 2025 Maroon & White spring game, Moss did not, mainly due to his continued progress to be 100% healthy before fall camp. Still, knee injuries are hard to predict when it comes to running backs, especially regarding how they're used in OC Collin Klein's system, which heavily relies on success on the ground.
The national media's opinion on Moss's role and potential impact is also based on Moss's health, Pro Football Focus college football analyst Max Chadwick stated that if Moss returns to his 2024 form, he will likely emerge as one of the top running back prospects in the 2026 NFL draft class.
"If he can come back 100% from that injury, he can emerge as one of the top running back's in the class."
Before Texas A&M's early November road game vs. South Carolina, Moss was on his way to rushing for 1,000-plus yards on the season, already accumulating 759 yards and 10 touchdowns, averaging 6.3 yards per carry.
Again, if Moss gets back to his 2024 form, we're talking about a potential second-round selection in the 2026 NFL draft, while, behind what should be one of the better offensive lines in the country, the sky is the limit for the Louisiana native and A&M's 2025 offense.

In collegiate athletics, players come and go frequently. Especially in the current era of the transfer portal, athletes are leaving their respective universities to pursue their future endeavors. Loyalty and leadership are two qualities that are rare in this new era and are extremely important in building a roster filled with players who will lay it all on the line for each other. The Aggies did just that when they landed outfielder and designated-hitter Hayden Schott during last year's offseason.
