Desperate race to save dancer tourist, 26, trapped in active VOLCANO for 3 days after she tumbled into crater on hike
A STRANDED tourist has been trapped inside an active volcano for three days following a horror hiking plunge - with rescue teams desperately rushing to save her.
Brazilian dancer Juliana Marins, 26, was trekking up Mount Rinjani, the second highest volcano in the country, when she reportedly slipped and fell from a hiking trail on Saturday.

The young woman, who works as a publicist and pole dancer, reportedly screamed as she lost her footing on the treacherous 12,200ft-tall volcano.
She took a terrifying plunge off the edge overlooking the volcano's famous crater lake in the morning of June 21.
Shocking drone footage showed stranded Juliana sitting in a hellish volcano pit, appearing out of energy and desperate for help.
She is said to have rolled nearly 1,000ft down the slope before coming to a stop in a rocky ravine on the Indonesian island of Lombok.
Juliana, from Rio de Janeiro, was spotted by passing tourists after they heard her harrowing screams for help.
She was lying on the ground alive, but was unable to climb back up the hazardous slopes.
Authorities are still battling to reach her and pull her to safety.
Spokesman for the East Lombok Police Nikolas Osman explained that Juliana was part of a group heading to the summit of Rinjani on the way to the Cemara Tunggal area.
He said: "The victim experienced fatigue and the guide at that time advised her to rest.
"Then the five guests in the tour group were taken by the guide to continue the journey."
He continued: "However, by the time he returned to fetch her, the Brazilian woman was already missing."
A rescue team was dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 2:32pm local time.
The head of the Mount Rinjani National Park Office, said: "The team has descended 300 metres but we have not reached the victim.
"We tried to call out to her but there was no response."
Gruelling rescue efforts on Sunday morning were plagued by cold and extremely foggy conditions.
The Mount Rinjani head also said that the stranded hiker had moved since she initially fell.
He said: "At 10:00 WITA, visual information from the drone showed that the victim was no longer at the previous point."
Officials confirmed the search was continuing on Monday.
More drones have been deployed to help the search - while dozens of rescuers rappelled down the volcano to cover ground towards Lake Segara Anak.

Juliana's sister, Mariana Marins, hit back at fake news reports that her sibling had been safely rescued.
She said: "We received, with great concern and apprehension, information that the rescue team took food, water and warm clothing to Juliana.
"This is not true."
The heartbroken sister added: "The information we have is that so far they have not been able to reach her, because the rescue ropes were not long enough, in addition to the low visibility.
"All the videos that were made are lies, including the one of the rescue arriving at her.
"The video was forged to look like that, along with this message associated with it."
She made a devastating revelation, saying: "We even celebrated. It was a shock to find out that it was a lie."
The Brazilian Foreign Ministry said that their embassy in Jakarta had sent representatives to monitor the rescue.
Juliana had been on a solo trip across Asia since February.
Before the terrifying fall, she had previously visited Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines, documenting her journey on her social media.

Horrific triple tragedy after three hikers jumped into stunning California waterfall
Bodies have been recovered after three men jumped into a California waterfall and never resurfaced. On June 18, six outdoorsmen set out on a hike several miles into the woods near Soda Springs. They embarked on what officials have said was an 'extremely remote and difficult to access' trail. During the journey, three of the hikers plunged into Rattlesnake Falls and did not resurface, completely vanishing beneath the freezing water. Shortly before 3 pm, the remaining hikers contacted local authorities for help. After four days of searching, with major setbacks thanks to weather and wind conditions, the missing bodies were recovered and the Placer County Sheriff's Office confirmed their deaths. 'It is with heavy hearts that we share the bodies of the three men have been recovered,' they said in their statement. 'Our heartfelt condolences go out to their families, friends, and all those affected by this tragic loss.' The rescue required California Highway Patrol Helicopters to help evacuate the remaining three men from the rough terrain. The location of which 'made rescue efforts especially challenging,' according to the Place County Sheriff's Office. The remote area required a three hour hike to reach. Authorities sent the Sheriff's Office's dive team, Search and Rescue Units, CAL Fire's technical rescue team and California Highway Patrol's helicopter. A helicopter ushered the three survivors back to safety on Wednesday evening, but the vanished hikers were left unfound for days after. To make matters worse, search efforts were tampered by gusty winds and low visibility, drawing out the process even further. According to the Sheriff's Office, searching operations were suspended Thursday 'due to poor underwater visibility caused by debris and strong currents.' Jumping into frigid waters could cause cold shock which results in 'a rapid loss of breathing control, increased heart rate and a gasp reflex.' Or hypothermia, a 'dangerous drop in body temperature that can lead to unconsciousness and even death.' Both of these side effects make it more difficult to swim or breathe, leading to drowning in low-temperature waterways like Rattlesnake Falls. The Placer County Sheriff's department has yet to release the names of the individuals or any further details on the incident.
