Arrests after drugs worth more than £200,000 seized in Aberdeen
Three people have been arrested and charged after drugs, namely heroin and cocaine with a street value exceeding £200,000, were recovered in Aberdeen.
Police carried out search warrants at three properties in the Peterculter and Woodside areas on the morning of Friday May 23.
A 27-year-old man and two women, aged 25 and 26, were arrested and charged in connection with the seizures.
They are due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday May 26.
The operation was intelligence-led and part of a broader crackdown on serious organised crime in the North East.
Police Scotland said inquiries are ongoing.
Detective Inspector John Pirie said: 'These seizures highlight our ongoing efforts to disrupt drug supply and underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country's Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
'We work every day to protect the public by preventing drugs from being circulated on our streets. This is vitally important in addressing the concerns of local people across the North East.
'Information and support from the public is vital to our work and I would encourage anyone with concerns about drug activity in their area to contact us via 101.'
Police Scotland say the operation demonstrates the force's determination to tackle the supply of illegal substances and safeguard communities.

On Friday, June 6 a man known to Ms Mendez appeared in court charged with her murder and was remanded into custody, reports MyLondon. Juan Toledo, 51, from south-east London, appeared at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on Friday charged with her murder. After the man was arrested, the Metropolitan Police urged anyone with information to come forward. Chief Superintendent Jason Stewart, who leads policing in Camden, said yesterday: 'Officers have been working around the clock to find Yajaira. She has not been seen or heard from by her family or friends since the date she was reported missing. 'Yajaira's disappearance was initially treated as a missing person investigation led by local officers. The investigation was then transferred to the Met's Specialist Crime Command on Thursday, 5 June after a range of extensive further enquiries very sadly suggested she has come to harm. Yajaira's family continue to be supported by specialist officers, and we are keeping them updated with developments. 'I understand the impact this news may have on our local community, however we do have a man charged and in custody and we are not searching for anyone else at this stage. The man and Yajaira are believed to be known to each other. 'Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances and there are crime scenes in place across Camden and Lambeth. We thank the community for their patience while we carry out our enquiries and ask that any one with information please comes forward.' Urgent search launched for missing Scots OAP as concerns grow
Police are growing concerned for Barbara Lamond, who vanished from the Craiglockhart area of Edinburgh on Saturday. Police have launched an urgent appeal to help trace an elderly woman who has been reported missing from Edinburgh. Barbara Lamond was last seen around 4pm on Saturday, June 7, in the Craiglockhart View area of the city. Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for the 86-year-old's welfare. She is described as white, around 5ft 4ins tall, of slim build, with short grey hair. When last seen, she was wearing dark trousers, a dark padded coat, and may also have been wearing a light pink woolly hat and glasses. Fears for missing Scots schoolgirl believed to have boarded train to England
Police are urgently seeking information to help find 13-year-old Ava Stewart from Kilmarnock. Fears are growing for a missing 13-year-old girl who may have travelled to England alone after she boarded a train from a Scots train station. Ava Stewart from Kilmarnock was last seen at around 1.35pm on Friday, June 6, at Glasgow Central Station. Following enquiries, officers believe she may now be in Birmingham. Ava is described as slim, around 4ft 11in tall, with long brown hair. When last seen, she was wearing white tracksuit bottoms, a grey crop top, a blue denim jacket, and blue and cream Nike Air Jordan trainers. She also has a lip and nose piercing, as well as a distinctive coloboma feature in her left eye.
