How Much Will PSG Earn After Winning the Champions League?
PSG's long-awaited Champions League title has brought more than just silverware – it has delivered a financial windfall worth over $215m.
The French club, who lifted the trophy for the first time in their history, are set to pocket around $155m from UEFA in prize money. That figure includes participation fees, results in the new league-phase format, knockout stage progression and a $27m reward for reaching and winning the final. A further $4.3m comes from qualifying for the UEFA Super Cup.
Matchday revenue added another layer. PSG hosted eight home games during their run, all sold out, bringing in over $64m in ticket sales. The semi-final against Arsenal alone reportedly generated $13m.
Commercially, the impact is already being felt. Shirt sales surged by 180% following the semi-final and merchandise sales are up by nearly a third compared to last year. Sponsors are also understood to have performance bonuses written into deals, triggered by the club's European success.
And it may not stop there. PSG have qualified for the expanded FIFA Club World Cup in 2025, where the eventual winners are expected to earn up to $160m.
After years of near misses, PSG finally have the trophy they craved. And with it, a record-breaking revenue both on and off the pitch. Tags: Achraf Hakimichampions leagueInter MilanParis Saint GermainPSG

UK Politicians Celebrate London's Newfound Western Sahara Position
Rabat – UK parliamentarians and politicians celebrated their country's newfound position, supporting Morocco's Autonomy Plan as the most serious and credible basis to end the dispute over Western Sahara. Liam Fox, former Secretary of State for International Trade, celebrated the UK's position, saying on X that the country 'has finally grasped that the Moroccan initiative on Western Sahara is the only game in town and caught up with our American and some European allies.' Fox, a staunch supporter of Morocco's autonomy plan and territorial integrity, also called on UK allies to join the growing support and momentum in favor of the Moroccan cause. 'Now it is time to maximise the opportunity and to call on all UK allies, including our Commonwealth partners, to join us in the liberating quest,' he wrote. MP Joe Powell echoed the same sentiment, noting that he felt pleased to see the UK taking this significant step. 'As Chair of Labour Friends of Morocco I am really pleased to see this significant step forward in the UK-Morocco partnership,' the MP wrote, citing this country's support for Morocco's autonomy plan as well as the opportunities this move will unlock for London. The UK made its historic announcement on Sunday during Foreign Secretary David Lammy's visit to Rabat. 'The UK has chosen to endorse autonomy within the Moroccan state as the most credible, viable, and pragmatic basis for a mutually-agreed and lasting solution to the Western Sahara dispute, one that can deliver on our commitments to conflict resolution in the region and self-determination for the people of Western Sahara,' Lammy said . Minister for Trade Policy Douglas Alexander also celebrated the news, stressing the importance of Morocco as an important ally in different sectors, including trade. 'Morocco is becoming an increasingly important trade and investment partner for the UK,' Alexander said, noting that UK companies are already securing major commercial wins in Morocco. Prior to the official announcement, many politicians have been urging their government to follow in the steps of the US and France to reinforce ties with Morocco and recognize its territorial integrity. In 2024, over 30 MPs and Peers urged the timely recognition of Morocco's Autonomy Plan as the most credible and serious framework to end the dispute. MPs and politicians from the country have frequently echoed the same demand on social platforms and international forums, while pointing out the security threats posed by Polisario in the region under Algeria's support. Algeria, which harbors Polisario in Tindouf camps and supports their separatism claims to challenge Morocco's territorial integrity, responded to the UK's position in a statement that signals Algeria's isolation amid growing support for the Moroccan territorial integrity and sovereignty over its southern provinces in Western Sahara. On Sunday, Algeria's regime said it regrets the UK's newfound position, claiming that the Moroccan autonomy initiative has 'never been presented to the Sahrawis as a basis for negotiation, nor has it ever been taken seriously by the successive UN envoys to this post.' The claims come amid growing support from at least 113 countries that support the Moroccan autonomy initiative, describing it as a serious and credible political solution to end the dispute. Moroccan Trio Shortlisted for Golden Boy 2025
The race for the 2025 Golden Boy award is well underway, and three young Moroccan players have made the first cut in the 100-man shortlist. Eliesse Ben Seghir and Chemsdine Talbi, both full Morocco internationals, are joined by Franco-Moroccan prospect Ayyoub Bouaddi as nominees for the prestigious award, which recognizes the best under-21 player in Europe each year. Ben Seghir, 20, enjoyed a solid season with AS Monaco, scoring nine goals and providing four assists. Talbi, also 20, has been a standout performer for Club Brugge in Belgium. With seven goals and four assists to his name, including key contributions in the Champions League, he's now attracting interest from bigger clubs across the continent, notably German side RB Leipzig. Bouaddi is the youngest of the Moroccan trio. The 17-year-old midfielder has already broken into the first team at Lille and drew widespread attention after running the show in a 1-0 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League group stage. He hasn't committed to Morocco or France at the international level just yet. While the Moroccan players are turning heads, it's Barcelona centre-back Pau Cubarsí who currently leads the pack. The 18-year-old has had a breakout season, making 56 appearances across all competitions and helping Barça to a domestic treble under Hansi Flick. His calmness on the ball and defensive maturity have earned him a rating of 95.4 in the Football Benchmark index, putting him at the top of the official rankings. Lamine Yamal, last year's winner, sits at number one on the list with a score of 97.7, but since no player can win the award twice, his name is only there for reference. Paris Saint-Germain's Désiré Doué ranks third and is another strong candidate after a superb season, after winning the Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, and the UEFA Champions League. The shortlist was published this week by Tuttosport , the Italian outlet that created the Golden Boy award back in 2003. The final winner will be announced in December. How Much Would Yamal Earn After New Record-Breaking Deal?
Barcelona have tied Lamine Yamal to a new long-term contract that runs until 2031, locking in one of the brightest young stars in world football. The 17-year-old winger has been a standout this season, scoring 18 goals and providing 21 assists as Barça won both La Liga and the Copa del Rey under Hansi Flick. Now, the club have moved quickly to reward his performances. According to The Athletic , the new deal includes a base salary of around €10 million per year and a €25 million signing bonus. If Yamal hits all his performance targets, his total earnings could reach €40 million per year before tax. That would make him the highest-paid player at the club, ahead of veterans like Robert Lewandowski and Frenkie de Jong. The contract also includes a clause for a salary review in two years, allowing the club and the player to revisit the terms based on performance and progression. Yamal's contract was finalized just before the start of his summer break. His agent, Jorge Mendes, flew in twice over the past few weeks to wrap things up quickly, allowing the teenager to head into the off-season without transfer rumours hanging over him. Despite his rapid rise, Yamal has remained calm under pressure. Ahead of the Champions League semi-final against Inter, he said, 'Fear while playing? I left all my fears in the park of my neighbourhood, back in Mataró.' Barcelona sporting director Deco described the new deal as the club's best move of the summer. 'He's a special player,' he told local radio. 'He deserves special treatment.' Yamal's camp didn't explicitly demand he become the top earner, but the message was clear. After a season like this, he has become one of the biggest difference-makers in the squad. The deal was structured to fit within La Liga's financial regulations, and Yamal's status as a La Masia graduate made registration smoother. Tags: FC Barcelonalaligalamine yamal
