I-205 bridge construction, ramp closures to impact traffic starting Monday
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A busy week of construction on the I-205 Abernethy Bridge Project is set to affect traffic in the area starting Monday.
According to ODOT, the project will cause multiple lane reductions and ramp closures, leading to slowdowns on HWY 43 and 99E, along with I-205.
Amtrak Cascades service fully restored after 11-day disruption
Those ramp closures in particular will force drivers heading east on HWY 99 to cross the bridge and loop back around in order to get on to I-205.

April 7-11 – Overnight ramp closure from OR 99E to I-205 northbound from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. This closure also coincides with the OR 99E northbound lane closures.
April 7-11 – Overnight lane closures on OR 99E northbound from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. A single lane will still be open in both directions.
April 7-11 – Overnight lane closure on OR 43 northbound from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
April 7-9 – Daytime flagging on Clackamette Drive from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

April 7-11 – Daytime shoulder closure on I-205 southbound between exit 10 and Exit 9 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will also be an full overnight full closure of HWY 99E between the northbound and southbound I-205 ramp interchange Saturday, April 12. It's expected to reopen at 8 a.m. on Sunday, April 13.
When fully completed, ODOT says this project will make the Abernethy Bridge the first earthquake-ready interstate bridge in the Portland area.

It will also feature an attached covered outdoor picnic area. Until the Miami County rest area is back open, the nearest facility for northbound travelers will be in Hancock County, ODOT stated. The closed rest area for southbound travelers will be the rest area on Interstate 71 near Florence, Kentucky. The Butler County rest area facilities near Monroe are scheduled to reopen in July. Area rest stops along I-75 closing in July
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Rest stops in two local counties are closing for roughly one year. According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, the north and south rest stops in Auglaize and Butler counties are closing July 7. ODOT said the rest stops are being fully replaced as a part of the state's Re-imagined Rest Area Project. During the closure, crews will demolish the buildings and create a modern area of restrooms, vending, outdoor picnic and more. While the stops in two counties are closed, drivers can utilize rest areas north of the Miami Valley near Findlay in Hancock County or across the Ohio River near Florence, Kentucky.
