KPMG Women's PGA live updates: Leaderboard, scores from third round of LPGA major
The 2025 KPMG Women's PGA Championship has reached the weekend at Fields Ranch East in Frisco, Texas, the home course of the PGA of America.
Lexi Thompson enters the third round in a tie for the lead. Thompson's lone bogey of the day came on the difficult par-4 18th, denying her first bogey-free major championship round in three years. Even so, 2-under 70 on the Fields Ranch East course puts her in fine position as the course bakes out even more in the afternoon as winds gusted up to 30 mph with temperatures north of 90.

2025 IMSA Watkins Glen starting lineup: Acura takes second consecutive pole with No. 93
With a new face behind the wheel, Acura Meyer Shank Racing captured its second consecutive pole position in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship series with a record-setting performance at Watkins Glen International. Renger van der Zande turned a lap of 1 minute, 31.558 seconds in the No. 93 ARX-06, setting a new mark on the 11-turn, 3.4-mile road course in the Grand Touring Prototype category. Nate Ryan, Yelloly, who won in the LMP2 category of the 24 Hours of Le Mans last week, and van der Zande will be joined by Kakunoshin 'Kaku' Ohta in Sunday's third endurance race of the IMSA season. Jack Aitken qualified second (1:31.845) in the No. 31 Cadillac, followed by Colin Braun (1:32.167) in Meyer Shank Racing's No. 60 Acura ARX-06. It was a disappointing showing for Porsche Penske Motorsport, which won the first four races of the season. Mathieu Jaminet qualified eighth (1:33.323) in the No. 6 963, and Felipe Nasr (1:33.533) will start 10th in the No. 963 that leads the championship standings. Lexi Thompson has a top and a shank to start windy third round at Women's PGA with triple bogey
FRISCO, Texas -- Lexi Thompson nearly got blown over to start the third round of the KMPG Women's PGA Championship, with a top and a shank on the way to a triple bogey on the opening hole in windy conditions Saturday. After hitting her tee shot into the fairway on the 517-yard par-5 first hole, a 207-yard drive into wind gusting to around 30 mph, Thompson topped her second shot that went only 117 yards. She indicated to her caddie that the wind knocked her out of balance. Things didn't get any better from there. Thompson shanked her third shot to the right into a thick native area and had to take a penalty shot that went over the green. She eventually two-putted from 20 feet, then followed with a bogey on the second hole. The semi-retired Thompson, playing for only the seventh time in 16 tournaments this season, won her only major in the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship. After a 2-under 70 on Friday, she went into the third round of the Women's PGA in fourth place and was four strokes behind Jeeno Thitikul, the No. 2-ranked player in the world, and was in the second-to-last group Saturday. Thompson's 13 top-five finishes in majors since 2013 are the most by any player and among her 20 top-10 finishes in those events.
