Meghan Markle doing the "Baby Mama" dance was compared by royal fans on TikTok to Princess Kate's regal public appearances.
The Duchess of Sussex danced in hospital while heavily pregnant to try to induce Princess Lilibet's birth, while past her due date in 2021.
She posted the footage on Instagram last week to mark Lili's fourth birthday and the move triggered a frenzy of both support and criticism.
Among the responses, a royal fan posted footage on TikTok comparing Meghan's dance to Princess Kate during a variety of royal events, including the coronation.

Meghan's dance sparked strong emotions on both sides with some celebrating the duchess and some criticizing her.
One theme among those who opposed the video was that royals should not overshare, like celebrities do.
The TikTok video exists within that discourse and was liked 134,000 times and viewed 2.2 million times after being posted with the on screen caption: "Royalty."
That caption appears to invite audiences to view Meghan's dance using the conventions of monarchy as a lens.
What To Know
The post began by showing Meghan doing Starrkeisha's "Baby Mama" dance in the delivery room alongside Prince Harry, who was also dancing.
The clip was originally released by Meghan last week to mark Lilibet's birthday on June 4, and she posted it with the message: "Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates... so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work—there was only one thing left to do!"
The TikTok post then cuts to several clips of Kate, first during Trooping the Colour, in June 2023, and then at King Charles III's coronation, in May 2023, followed by a series of other royal engagements.
What People Are Saying
One fan pointed out the Princess of Wales famously first caught Prince William's eye during a university cat walk show in which she wore a see through dress over a bikini.
"Kate did a catwalk show in her bikini at uni trying to impress William let's not forget that," they wrote.
Another reply was liked 17,800 times and read: "Meghan and Harry... happier, real, normal..."
Not everyone defended Meghan. One comment read: "I just can't stop laughing. Where is Meghan's advisor. This is just bad. Big difference between celebrity and royalty."

Puppy Brothers Reunited, Moment They Recognize Each Other Caught on Camera
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The heartwarming moment a puppy reunites with his sibling has melted hearts online. In a now-viral TikTok video that has more than 250,000 views, Codi, a 4-month-old Coton de Tulear, got a very special visitor: his brother, whom he last saw at the pet store. Adopted from a pet store in Singapore when he was 3 months old, Codi hadn't seen his littermate since. But then a conversation with the store changed everything. "The pet shop helped us to get the contact of the brother's owner, and we contacted them to arrange a meetup," owner Tiffany, who didn't give a surname, told Newsweek. "I think because they have only been separated for a while Codi has been quite receptive and still able to recognize the brother." Pictures of the two puppies being reunited for the first time. Pictures of the two puppies being reunited for the first time. @ While dogs won't always recognize their littermates, those who remain together or regularly see each other during the first 12-16 weeks of their lives are much more likely to recognize each other later on. A 1994 study that conducted scent-based tests on puppies found that by the age of 2, dogs could only recognize a sibling they lived with—not any of their other siblings. In the TikTok video Tiffany shared, the moment the two dogs met again involved some sniffs, playful roughhousing and plenty of tail wags. As the moment gained more attention online, viewers couldn't get enough of the adorable puppies. One TikTok user wrote, "Lady I only see two clouds where are the dogs you promised." Another added, "The marshmallows are marshmallowing." Others said they hoped this wouldn't be the last time the pair met. "I hope they get more playdates like this," one said, while a commenter added, "Let them have playdate more often please." Many were enamored with the dogs' breed, which originates from Madagascar. "Stunning dogs and just full of love," a user wrote. Another commented, "Sweetest thing I [have] ever seen." Tiffany was delighted by the response: "There were comments like why didn't I get both of them together, or that I was heartless to separate them," she said. "But there were also kind souls who gave ideas on how to reconnect with the sibling, which was encouraging." Do you have funny and adorable videos or pictures of your pet you want to share?
