Marseille and Monaco secure Champions League berths
Second half goals from Takumi Minamino and Denis Zakaria sealed Monaco a place in Europe's top club competition, where they will join Ligue 1 champions Paris St Germain and Marseille.
Marseille led at Le Havre through Amine Gouiri's 53rd minute score but saw Issa Soumare equalise after a 15-minute interruption in the second half when the referee took the teams into the changing rooms in response to trouble in the stands.
But Mason Greenwood struck his 19th league goal of the season in the 86th minute to put them back ahead and Gouiri added the third deep in stoppage time to leave Le Havre facing the possibility of relegation next Saturday when all nine fixtures will kick off simultaneously.
Marseille moved up to 62 points while Monaco are on 61. The other French places in European club competitions will be decided on the final day of the season next weekend.
Fourth place in Ligue 1, which guarantees a place in the Champions League preliminary rounds next season, is still up for grabs with Nice, Lille and Strasbourg all on 57 points after they all lost on the road.
PSG rested almost all of the team that earlier this week secured a place in the Champions League final but still turned out comfortable 4-1 winners at Montpellier.
PSG had already retained the title last month and with both the Coupe de France final and the Champions League decider against Inter Milan later this month, coach Luis Enrique elected to field a second-string side, keeping only two starters from Wednesday's semi-final success over Arsenal.
They still proved too strong, however, for already-relegated Montpellier with Goncalo Ramos netting three, one from the penalty spot, after teenager Senny Mayulu had the opened the scoring one minute before halftime. PSG advanced to 81 points.
Stade Rennais beat Nice 2-0 while Lille were edged by the same score at Brest. Strasbourg lost 2-1 at Angers, who moved to safety with the win.

After struggling to break down a stubborn Osasuna defence in the opening half, Mbappe won the penalty and converted from the spot six minutes after the break to give Real the lead, but the home side were unable to increase their advantage. 'In the first half we didn't have space and then in the second half we scored early,' Mbappe told Real Madrid TV. 'We had more chances and we had more control, we expected to score the second but it didn't come.' The visitors had Abel Bretones sent off in added time for a foul off the ball on Gonzalo Garcia as Alonso's side got their league campaign off to a winning, but underwhelming start as they look to wrestle back the league title from Barcelona. Alonso's side, whose last competitive game ended in a 4-0 defeat to Paris St Germain in the Club World Cup semi-finals, completely dominated against a visiting side clearly content to sit back and perhaps come away with a draw, which they almost managed. Real enjoyed plenty of possession in the opening 45 minutes with lots of slick passing, but their only real chances came through shots from distance, with Eder Militao's powerful strike forcing Osasuna keeper Sergio Herrera into a decent save. All Osasuna's defensive work was undone shortly after the break when a foul by Juan Cruz on Mbappe was punished with a penalty, and Real's French forward stepped up and sent the keeper the wrong way as the hosts finally found the net. The goal forced Osasuna out of their shell somewhat, while Real pushed to find a second goal to kill the game off, with Arda Guler unleashing a shot from outside the area which zipped just over the bar. Alonso, who started the game with three of the club's new signings - Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen and Alvaro Carreras - in his back four, then sent on 18-year-old Argentine midfielder Franco Mastantuono for his Real debut. Mastantuono almost made an immediate impact, with his effort from a wide angle saved by Herrera at his near post. Minutes earlier, Osasuna had their chance to snatch what would have been an undeserved equaliser but Ante Budimir headed over from inside the six-yard box. 'It was important for us to start with a win at home, we knew it was going to be difficult,' Mbappe said. 'Osasuna had a clear plan to wait for us and they had Budimir. YORK - Champions from Japan, Ireland, France and Britain will battle to be acclaimed the champion of champions in the £1.25 million (S$2.17 million) Group 1 Juddmonte International Stakes (2,063m) at York on Aug 20. Shogo Yasuda, trainer of Danon Decile, knows that his star four-year-old faces a difficult task, but has confidence in his ability. "Of course, I respect the European horses," said the son of Takayuki Yasuda, who trained top Japanese sprinter Lord Kanaloa. "It is not easy to travel from Japan, and we have a big mountain to climb. But I believe, potentially, he can climb it." The son of Epiphaneia has not run since he captured his first overseas race in the Group 1 Dubai Sheema Classic (2,400m) at Meydan on April 5, but Yasuda is satisfied that the five-time winner is ready. "We have not run him again because of the extreme heat in Japan," he explained. "But I am very happy with how he is now. He can get excited, but he is getting calmer every day he is here in Newmarket, and he seems to be enjoying the different environment. "I feel he has a good chance." First-up after four months, the 2024 Group 1 Japan Derby (2,400m) victor will face five other top-rated gallopers in the crown jewel at York's Sky Bet Ebor Festival, which is held from Aug 20 to 23. The John and Thady Gosden-trained Ombudsman and the Aidan O'Brien-trained Delacroix are the main - but not the only - obstacles to the Japanese runner's success. O'Brien will be aiming to come out on top for a second successive year after City Of Troy saluted in the 2024 International Stakes. The top Irish handler was particularly impressed by Delacroix's performance when making strong progress uphill in the final 400 metres at Sandown. "Delacroix's got a lot of speed and quickens exceptionally well. It's rare to see what he did, and is what sets good horses apart," he said of the Dubawi three-year-old. French contender Daryz will need to improve despite having won all four of his races in France, including the Group 2 Prix Eugene Adam (2,000m) on June 29. The Sea The Stars three-year-old - trained by Francis-Henri Graffard - is at his first Group 1 attempt in his fifth start. Nemone Routh, racing manager for the owner, Aga Khan Studs, acknowledges the tough challenge. "The field is a strong one and we're under no illusions it's going to be a very tough race, but the horse is in great form. It will be fast ground, which he handles well and we'll see how good he is," he said. UK filly See The Fire, who finished third at her last two runs in the Group 1 Nassau Stakes (1,991m) on July 31 and the Prince Of Wales's Stakes, will line up for trainer Andrew Balding. Has a good turn of foot. First-up but one to respect in the small field. 3 Ombudsman Progressive galloper. Good chance. 4 See The Fire Won both the Group 2 Dubai Middleton Fillies' Stakes and Group 3 Strensall Stakes at York, but well beaten at her two attempts in Group 1 level since.
