Call this a 'fintastic' opportunity!
Tom Bergeron, the Emmy Award-winning host of Dancing with the Stars (and America's Funniest Home Videos and The Hollywood Squares before it, among other series), is returning to host a new dancing special. The project is Dancing With Sharks, which will air on Discovery during the annual Shark Week, and it is described as an 'unprecedented underwater dance competition between expert divers and their shark partners."
Per the Dancing With Sharks press release: 'Blending skill, grace, and the daring pursuit of the ultimate underwater thrill, five divers all trained by a world-class underwater choreographer, will compete to show off their skills during epic underwater dances. Each diver will attempt to outperform their competitors, with moves including the Hammerhead Hoedown and Tiger Trot, and redefine dancing with danger. They will have one shot to wow the judges and be crowned the first-ever champion of Dancing With Sharks."
Channing Dungey, Chairman and CEO of the Warner Bros. Television Group and US Networks also unveiled other new titles at the company's Upfront presentation in New York.
'Our strength lies in our ability to create shows that dominate the zeitgeist,' said Dungey in a statement. 'We produced six of the top 10 new unscripted series on cable last year, and we'll continue to push the boundaries of great storytelling to serve the dedicated fans of our signature franchises in bold new ways.'
Among the other new upcoming entries are Food Network's competition shows Family Recipe Showdown, produced and hosted by Octavia Spencer; and Guy's Flavortown Games with Guy Fieri; Investigation Discovery's (ID) They Know What They Did, narrated and executive produced by Jennifer Love Hewitt; and HGTV's latest home renovation competition, Renovating the Bachelor Mansion. ID also will premiere a new series that features a collaboration between Vanity Fair Studios and Dick Wolf's Wolf Entertainment; and OWN will launch docuseries Heart & Hustle: Houston, which follows a dynamic sisterhood of successful Black women in heart of Houston.

Miley Cyrus hid cost of drugs from accountant by disguising them as vintage clothing purchases

Miley Cyrus concealed the cost of drugs from her accountant during the making of her 2015 album by disguising them as high-end vintage clothing purchases. The 32-year-old singer and songwriter, whose battles with drink and drugs have been well-documented, made the admission during an appearance on the Every Single Album podcast. Speaking about the period surrounding her experimental album Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz, Miley said: 'We called (drug purchases) vintage clothes. And every time (my accountant) saw me, she'd be like, 'Where's that, like, $15,000 original John Lennon T-shirt that you bought?' 'It's like, 'Oh, it's upstairs.' So I bought a lot of vintage clothes that year.' The Grammy-winning artist went on to explain to avoid suspicion, she would tell her accountant the garments were 'really delicate' and needed to be stored away to 'protect' them. She added: 'I'm so glad I survived that time in my life. I would definitely not encourage anyone else to go this hard, but the fact that I got through it, I'm very glad I got to do it.' Miley, who rose to prominence as a Disney Channel star before launching a highly successful music career, has long been candid about her relationship with drugs. In a 2013 interview with Rolling Stone, she said: 'Hollywood is a coke town, but weed is so much better. And molly, too. Those are happy drugs – social drugs. They make you want to be with friends. You're out in the open. You're not in a bathroom.' In 2017, she revealed she had gotten sober after rekindling her relationship with then-partner Liam Hemsworth. She told Billboard magazine: 'I haven't smoked weed in three weeks, which is the longest I've ever (gone without it,) I'm not doing drugs, I'm not drinking, I'm completely clean right now!' But in November 2020, Miley acknowledged that she had relapsed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Speaking publicly at the time, she confirmed the setback but said she had resumed sobriety within two weeks. Miley has also recently been in the headlines over a rumoured rift with her country-rock singer father Billy Ray Cyrus, but other reports have said the two have quietly reconciled.

The newest female Dem power trio spotted at this Manhattan hotspot

They're the ladies on the left who lunch. The newest female Democratic power trio was recently spotted at the swanky Midtown restaurant The Polo Bar. Huma Abedin, the ex-wife of disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner, broke bread with Hillary Clinton and George Clooney's wife, Amal, at the celebrity hotspot last week, a source told Paula Froelich of NewsNation. 'There were secret security and bodyguards everywhere,' the source said. 'They were just huddled together at a table talking.' 3 Huma Abedin served as vice chair of Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign and was her deputy chief of staff when she was secretary of state. Bruce Glikas/WireImage Abedin is tying the knot with philanthropist George Soros' son Alex, who controls his dad's $25 billion dollar Open Society Foundations, one of the world's largest private philanthropic funds that donates to liberal political causes. The 48-year-old — who started her political career as an intern for Clinton in 1996, then became her deputy chief of staff and vice chair of her 2016 presidential campaign — now runs the Democratic Party inside circle, Froelich's sources said. 3 Abedin is marrying George Soros' son Alex this month. Getty Images for The Met Museum/Vogue Clooney, an international lawyer, and her hubby — who famously penned the 2024 New York Times essay 'I Love Joe Biden, But We Need A New Nominee' — are liberal icons and run the Clooney Foundation for Justice together. 3 An international lawyer, Amal Clooney helps run the Clooney Foundation for Justice. Corbis via Getty Images Abedin, Clinton and Clooney are now considered 'the female triumvirate of the Democratic Party,' Froelich said, adding that Adedin's wedding to Soros will take on June 14 in the Hamptons and may include the Dems talking about plans to revive the party. 'If these people are picking the new party head, we are in trouble,' an insider told her.

A 'Home Improvement' Clip Is Going Viral For Exposing Just How Backwards We Have Gone As A Society

It originally aired on ABC between 1991 and 1999. ABC via Disney+ 'I don't need Angela to make me a sandwich,' Tim tells Brad, who insists: 'She doesn't mind,' which Angela echoes. Tim reiterates: 'I don't need you to make me a sandwich, thanks. ABC via Disney+ ABC via Disney+ ABC via Disney+ ABC via Disney+ When Tim says that he does, Brad asks: 'And you think that's good?' and Tim reasons: 'Well, I don't know, it works for me… But maybe having Angela as your sandwich girl works for you, your whole life is sandwiches!' ABC via Disney+ Since being posted to TikTok, this clip has been liked almost 200k times, and racked up thousands of comments — with many of them saying the same thing. 'this would be called woke today,' a popular comment reads. Somebody else echoed: 'They tried to do a story like this these days MAGA would call it 'woke' and call for a boycott of everyone involved.' 'Funny how back then the audience would have perceived the dad as a 'good man', whereas now the same audience would call him 'woke/soft/leftist,'' another user added. 'now you would have 300 guys complaining it's woke,' one more agreed, while somebody else observed: 'It's almost like 'wokeness' that people keep referring to has always been there, it just wasn't wrapped up in inflated egos fueled by political rhetoric.' And one more concluded: 'I got so many of my lessons in being a man from 90s sitcoms. Just human lessons, not activists lessons.'
