Meghan Markle Kisses Prince Harry at Invictus Games Event, Says He "Means a Lot" to Her
Meghan Markle has joined Prince Harry in Canada to help launch the Invictus Games 2025, which is taking place in Vancouver and Whistler. At an event ahead of the Invictus Games opening ceremony, Duchess Meghan gave an impromptu speech to the crowd, in which she praised her husband. She also referenced their two children—Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet—and kissed Harry before leaving the stage.
In a video of the speech shared by X user @Uggladiator, Meghan could be heard introducing Prince Harry, saying (via Hello! magazine), "I was not planning on speaking tonight, and we just arrived, I don't know, a couple of hours ago, and I touched Canadian soil and I went, 'Oh, it feels like home." She continued, "We are just thrilled to be here, and I would be remiss if I didn't take the opportunity to introduce someone who means a lot to me. And I know he means quite a lot to all of you."
Explaining just how important the Invictus Games is to Prince Harry, Meghan told attendees, "You will see him at the Games. You will see him...cheering you on." The Duchess of Sussex continued, "He's in it with you, and you'll see him through all of those moments. He'll be there with you."
For the occasion, Meghan wore A.L.C.'s "Willow" Pleated Midi Dress in the color chocolate, which is available to shop for $795. The Duchess of Sussex also wore Princess Diana's $26,000 Tank Française watch (per @meghansclosetchronicles).

"What you won't have seen is all of the moments that have happened in the lead-up to these Games, all of the moments where, as you know, with families, the big rush in the morning—getting ready for school, packing the lunch boxes, making breakfast," Meghan revealed. "My husband's in all of that with us, and then he'll be on his phone, and Archie will say, 'Papa, why are you on your phone?' And he's like, 'That's Invictus. I'm getting ready for Invictus.'"
Duchess Meghan shared that Invictus Games is a huge priority for her husband, saying in her speech, "It means so much to him. You are his family, just as we are his family, and I hope you recognize how much of his heart he has poured into every single thing that has gotten all of you to this week, which is going to be spectacular. I just need you to know that."
Before leaving the stage, Meghan referenced their own family, saying, "I need you to know how much it means to him and how much each of you means to him. So it is my entire pleasure and complete honor to introduce to this stage my husband, the father of our very sweet, excited children, who will cheer you on from California." Meghan then turned to Harry, and the pair kissed in front of the crowd. Even though Archie and Lilibet are at home in Montecito, it's adorable to hear them mentioned at the Invictus Games.

Metallica's Lars Ulrich has recorded a video saluting the timeless majesty of Deep Purple's Made In Japan album, a record he describes as "the best hard rock live album ever". Recorded over three nights on the English band's first Japanese tour - two shows at Osaka's Festival Hall (August 15 and 16, 1972) and one night at Tokyo's famous Budokan venue (August 17, 1972) - Made in Japan was originally released in the UK on December 22, 1972, and on March 3, 1973 in the US. On August 15, the 53rd anniversary of their first Osaka concert, Deep Purple released a 50th anniversary edition of the classic album, remixed by Stephen Wilson. And Lars Ulrich reckons it's well worth your time, as he explains in a video uploaded yesterday (August 19) to Deep Purple's official YouTube channel. "Hey, everyone, Lars here," the drummer says by way of an introduction. "I just wanna take a brief second and say... 53 years ago, this very weekend, Deep Purple were in Japan for the very first time, and those three concerts were recorded - two nights in Osaka, one night in Tokyo were recorded - and eventually became the Made In Japan album, in my humble opinion, hands down the best hard rock live album ever. "I have heard it just about 18,000 times, and every time I hear it, it just gets better and better and better, and it's so crazy cool. It's so lively, it's so energetic and just, Duuuurrrghhh! You know what I mean? You know what I mean? "Now, there is a reissue, remaster, all that 're' stuff, version of the album that includes — let me get this right — all three nights of the three concerts," he continues. "So not just one version of each of the songs, but three different versions of each of the songs. And it's coming out right now and it's got, obviously, everything else, depending on what package you get. It's got the kitchen sink, and more of the kitchen sink, and a bigger kitchen sink and all that stuff in it."But just going back to the music, the crazy thing about hearing this, and like I said, I've heard it a lot, is that when you hear the three nights of the three different concerts, the versions of the songs, they're all fucking so crazy cool, but they're different from each other. So, like, one night Child In Time is this long, and the other night Child In Time is that long and the third night Child In Time is that long, because the solo is a different length, [Ritchie] Blackmore is in a different mood, Ian Paice is playing against him in this kind of way, and it sets up these vibes. And then Ian Gillan goes over here, and then Roger Glover's holding this down, and Jon Lord goes here on the keyboards and over there, and it's all sso crazy fucking cool." The drummer finishes up his tribute by saying, "So maybe this is the longest video honouring and saluting this great piece of work. I promise you I'll shut the fuck up now. Disney Dreamlight Valley is making some significant changes to Star Paths ahead of its next update to make it more engaging for 'those who play week over week'

Ahead of the new Emotional Rescue update, Disney Dreamlight Valley has announced that some significant changes are being made to its current Star Path format. As detailed on the Disney Dreamlight Valley blog, these changes are being made to help make the Star Path feel more accessible for every player, regardless of where they are in the valley and how much progress they have made within the game. The most significant update is the addition of Routine Duties. These won't take the place of the standard Star Path duties, but add an additional layer of challenge to work through to get ahold of more rewards. These duties refresh each week, giving you even more to work on, and follow a different theme. The blog stated that these additional duties were initially designed for "those who play week over week" since standard duties alongside those in the base game can become slightly repetitive. Also linking to duties you'll complete throughout the Star Path, any that relate to specific characters or things you unlock in the game, like restaurant orders or features like Dreamsnaps, have been removed for now. This will definitely help brand-new players get stuck in with the Star Path without encountering any roadblocks because they simply haven't got to that point yet. Even with as many hours in the game as I have, there are still characters from realms I haven't unlocked yet, which have stopped me from completing a number of tasks in the past. Plus, if you were grinding the Star Path out at the last minute, these could also effectively roadblock your progress and make it impossible to finish in time, so I'm glad they're finally gone. However, this doesn't apply to brand-new characters introduced with updates and new Star Paths, which are Joy and Sadness for this update. Since new characters roll out alongside new Star Paths, it makes sense that most players will be racing to unlock them. If you're not the type of player to wait with baited breath the second another character is announced, then having these exclusive duties might be the push you need to head into their realm and make your way through their friendship quests—especially now you don't have the added pressure of completing challenges for other characters too. Finally, each Star Path will have an additional five days tacked onto the end, so you've got plenty of opportunities to complete your duties. There's a 48-hour grace period once these five days are up to give you a chance to spend all your Moonstones on prizes if you haven't already done so. Yes, I know, this is a reduction from the previous grace period, but with five additional days to complete the entire Path, we can't complain too much if we run out of time, since there comes a point where it's our own doing.

Scream 7 star Jasmin Savoy Brown hopes the horror franchise's Core Four are reunited on screen someday "even if it's 20 years from now"

Scream star Jasmin Savoy Brown has said that she hopes the franchises's 'Core Four' will be reunited someday, despite her former co-stars Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega not returning for the upcoming seventh installment. "I can't imagine making this movie without Melissa and Jenna," Brown said in a new book, Your Favorite Scary Movie: How the Scream Films Rewrote the Rules of Horror by Ashley Cullins (via Entertainment Weekly). "It won't be the same. On the flip side, I do care about this character so much, and I care so much about the people that care about her. I hope that someday – even if it's 20 years from now – the Core Four gets back together on screen." Savoy Brown has played Mindy Meeks-Martin since 2022's Scream. Making up the rest of the Core Four is Mindy's twin brother Chad (Mason Gooding), their friend Tara (Ortega), and Tara's older sister Sam (Melissa Barrera). Alongside Savoy Brown and Gooding, the cast of Scream 7 includes Neve Campbell's return as Sidney Prescott, along with Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers and David Arquette as Dewey Riley – despite his character meeting an untimely end in 2022's Scream. And he's not the only one: Matthew Lillard, who played Stu Macher in the first Scream movie, and Scott Foley, who played Roman Bridger in Scream 3, are also both returning for round seven despite both their characters dying in previous installments.
