Clearfield hosts 3rd annual Riverfront Festival

CLEARFIELD COUNTY (WTAJ) – Thousands of people are gathering in downtown Clearfield this weekend for their third annual Riverfront Festival. The festival kicked off Friday, June 6, with food trucks and axe throwing, as well as music and other activities. The Clearfield Revitalization Corporation holds the event as a way to celebrate downtown Clearfield as the weather gets warmer. 'The riverfront festival for the Clearfield community is to kick off summer. It is a chance for us to showcase our beautiful town, our fantastic river that flows right through the town, and that's kind of the purpose of what we've got going on with the riverfront. And everybody loves the fireworks that happen Saturday night,' Main Street Manager Sue Diehl said. The festival lasts through Sunday, June 8.
