Wild scenes as brutal road rage incident spills in front of oncoming traffic on a busy freeway
Dramatic footage has emerged two drivers trading blows on the side of a busy freeway which spilled into the path of fast moving traffic.
The incident took place in Macdonald Park along Adelaide 's Northern Expressway, which has a 110km/h speed limit.
The footage showed two men arguing and throwing punches in the left lane as cars, dump trucks and semi-trailers fly past.
One man was shoved to the ground, causing a passing vehicle to suddenly swerve to avoid hitting him.
A woman stepped in to separate the pair and ushered the men back to their parked vehicles.
A third man dressed in high-visibility gear parked further along the road was seen walking toward the altercation but turned around once it appeared to have ended.
What sparked the brawl is currently unknown.
The dashcam has divided viewers as it racked up more than 200,000 views online.
'These idiots are asking to be hit fighting on a 110km/h freeway!' the video was captioned.
While many viewers condemned the behavior of the feuding men, dashcam driver also came under fire.
'The guy stopping his car in a live lane of traffic on a 110km/h freeway isn't too smart either,' one wrote.
Another added: 'Almost as bad as you coming to a stop in the left lane.'
A third wrote: 'I would not have stopped. Someone will run up your rear.
However, others viewers defended the driver and argued that slowing down may have prevented a tragedy.
'He created a safe zone and he obviously knew what he was doing, therefore doesn't need your belated advice,' one wrote.
Another added: 'People are more likely to see the car and move than they are a person.
A third wrote: 'Guy could get pushed onto the road, gets hit by a car doing 110 and dies, or the car stops to protect him, forcing other vehicles to go around.
South Australian Police currently aren't investigating.
'Police have not received any reports in relation to this incident yet but encourage those involved to come forward and contact police,' a spokesperson said.
'Anyone who witnesses this type of behaviour is asked to call the Police Assistance Line.'

Queensland Ambulance Service told Daily Mail Australia on Saturday afternoon that she was in a stable condition. Investigations by the forensic crash unit remain ongoing to determine the circumstances leading up to the crash. Police have appealed to any witnesses or anyone with relevant vision of the events leading up to the crash to come forward.

Earlier this month, Christopher declared war on Saint Haven - the members-only wellness clinic owned by rich lister Tim Gurner. It all began when Christopher went public with a strongly worded complaint against Saint Haven, claiming a staff member spoke to his elderly mother in a 'condescending' tone during her visit to the spa. Speaking to the Herald Sun, Christopher alleged that his mother was also racially targeted for holding her phone at the club. He claims that, since news of the feud broke, he had also been contacted by members and ex Saint Haven staff members, claiming they had been racially profiled and targeted by the exclusive club. He told the publication that he was prepared to take legal action on behalf of the alleged victims, adding many were scared to come forward. Sponsors drop Aussie Olympian Heath Ryan after horse whipping video goes viral - 'shocked and heartbroken'
Aussie Olympian Heath Ryan has been dropped by two major sponsors after shocking footage emerged of the equestrian star whipping a horse 42 times. Prydes EasiFeed and Bates Saddles - both long time supporters of Ryan - announced separately on Friday they have severed ties with Ryan. In a statement, Bates Saddles said they were 'shocked and heartbroken' by the damning vision. Newcastle based Ryan, 66, has also been suspended indefinitely from competition by Equestrian Australia. The governing body confirmed they received a formal complaint from a member of the public - and have since launched an investigation into the matter. As a result, Ryan is provisionally suspended from the sport. The suspension was mirrored by the international governing body, Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI). According to News Corp, Equestrian Australia said in a statement they were 'extremely alarmed and concerned by the treatment of the horse shown in the footage.' The RSPCA are said to be 'making further enquiries' and the Australian Olympic Committee are aware of the video - but it remains unknown if they will take further action. Earlier this week, Ryan insisted he was on a 'rescue mission' after horrific footage emerged of the international equestrian star whipping a horse more than 40 times at a private stable. Ryan, who competed at the 2008 Games in Beijing in the dressage team event, issued a statement online after the confronting vision appeared on social media via US-based Facebook page Dressage Hub. He conceded the footage is 'awful' - but maintained he was doing his utmost to ensure the horse wasn't sent to the slaughter house. Ryan also claimed the vision was posted 'by an unhappy ex-employee.' 'Oh my goodness! The most awful video of me on a young horse has just surfaced,' his lengthy Facebook post began. 'This horse was dropped off at my place on his way to the knackery. His name is Nico. He was 6 years of age. A beautiful type. '(After the repeated whipping) I rode Nico for another couple of days and he responded very well. 'All of this transpired sincerely with the horse's best interests the sole consideration. 'I (also) need to add that this happened about two years the video has been posted by an unhappy ex-employee. 'All I can say is that this awful video was collateral damage of me from the bottom of my heart launching a rescue mission.' Ryan has competed in equestrian events in Australia for decades, with his crowning achievement an appearance at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Dujardin had returned to competition leading into Paris after giving birth to her first child Isabella in March of 2023.
