FIFA slashes some ticket prices for Club World Cup Final at MetLife Stadium
For next year's event, the venue will sell out at any price for the tickets. This year, it's taking some effort.
Via Safid Deen of USA Today, FIFA has slashed ticket prices in advance of Sunday's match between Paris-Saint Germain and Chelsea.
The cheapest ticket has fallen from $312.20 to $249.75. Seats in the range of $440 to $546 have fallen to the range of $334.50 to $473.90.
The most expensive tickets, however, have stayed expensive. East Club seats have held firm at $1,644.65. Seating in the EY Coaches Club remains $4,348.50 each.
The 62-match (to date) tournament has drawn 2.4 million fans. It's an average of 38,000 per match. More than 20 of them have drawn more than 50,000.
For the final match of Sunday, one spot has been reserved for someone who attended the most recent Super Bowl. President Donald Trump has said he'll attend the Club World Cup final.

SAO PAULO (AP) — The Brazilian government on Wednesday unveiled a plan to support local exporters affected by a 50% tariff imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump on several products from the South American nation. Dubbed 'Sovereign Brazil," the plan provides for a credit lifeline of 30 billion reais ($5.5 billion), among other measures. Other measures announced by the Brazilian government include postponing tax charges for companies affected by U.S. tariffs, providing 5 billion reais ($930,000) in tax credits to small and medium-sized companies until the end of 2026 and expanding access to insurance against cancelled orders. The plan also incentivizes public purchases of items that could not be exported to the U.S. 'We cannot be scared, nervous and anxious when there is a crisis. A crisis is for us to create new things,' Lula said. 'In this case, what is unpleasant is that the reasons given to impose sanctions against Brazil do not exist.' Jalen Hurts, Shedeur Sanders had 'lengthy conversation' after practice
Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders has been a sponge during the preseason, soaking up as much information from veterans as he can. On Monday, the Browns' social media team shared a mic'd up moment of Sanders asking teammate and star defensive end Myles Garrett how he would plan his pass rush against the rookie quarterback. On Wednesday, Sanders had a "lengthy conversation" with Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and reigning Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts after practice. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo snapped a picture of the two quarterbacks chatting on the practice field, separate from the rest of their teammates at the Browns and Eagles' joint practice. The Browns are scheduled to play their second preseason game against the Eagles on Saturday. Cleveland had planned for Sanders to start the game if fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel, who has been dealing with hamstring tightness, had been unable to go, according to reports. With Sanders' oblique injury, his status for the game is unclear. The Week 2 preseason game is scheduled to kick off at Lincoln Financial Field at 1 p.m. ET Saturday afternoon. NFL Network will simulcast the Eagles' local broadcast to a national audience.
