Bold & Beautiful's Scott Clifton On Talk of a Return to General Hospital: ‘I'm Just Thinking About… '
As The Bold and the Beautiful takes Liam's condition from bad to worse — even Hope now knows that he's dying — the writing on the wall is increasingly reading that Scott Clifton will soon be out of a job. Hard to believe, right? He's played Mr. Waffle Man, as his father calls him, for 15 years and in that time has racked up three Daytime Emmys and driven a [bleep]-ton of story.
But even if it is the end of the line for Liam, it isn't necessarily a wrap for Clifton's career in daytime. He could return to the role that gave him his start in soaps, that of Dillon Quartermaine on General Hospital. The character's domineering mother Tracy is back in Port Charles as is Lulu Spencer, who once upon a time wove a tangled web to entice him to cheat on then-wife Georgie Jones. Clifton could slip right back into the part as if he'd never left it and been recast with Robert Palmer Watkins.
Except for one thing.
'I am not at all thinking about General Hospital or any other show,' he tells Soap Opera Digest. 'I'm just thinking about doing the best job I can do telling this story. That is what is important to me.
'I just want to do right by this show,' he continues, 'and this story and and this storyteller — namely, Brad' Bell, the executive producer and headwriter of Bold & Beautiful.
Suffice it to say, Clifton is more than doing right by the story. In fact, as Liam tries to keep his chin up even as he's breaking down, he's shattering our hearts on the daily.
Making this heartrending plot even more poignant is that we know the character so well — even if sometimes we've wanted to throttle him. Review in our updated photo gallery.

New 'Happy Gilmore 2' trailer drops at Netflix Tudum fan fest with some familiar NJ places
A new movie trailer shows Adam Sandler's hockey-stick-swinging golfer Happy Gilmore returning in summer 2025, with New Jersey as his backdrop. Netflix revealed the new trailer for the highly anticipated comedy "Happy Gilmore 2" during its Tudum fan event on May 31, teasing a sequel packed with celebrity cameos and callbacks to the 1996 original. Shot across locations in towns including Hoboken, Clifton and Verona, the new movie brings Gilmore out of retirement with a new motivation: ballet school tuition for his daughter. The price tag? $300,000. Gilmore's plan? Take another shot at the pro circuit. The movie set for a July 25 release on Netflix reunites familiar faces from the first installment, including Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin, Julie Bowen as Virginia Venit, Kevin Nealon as Gary Potter and Ben Stiller as the menacing nursing home orderly Hal. The cast also includes Sandler's real-life daughters Sadie and Sunny, wife Jackie, and Bad Bunny in the role of Gilmore's caddie. In the trailer's opening, Sandler's Gilmore wipes out on the tee box while being watched by Eric André, Margaret Qualley and Martin Herlihy. The trailer also includes appearances by Post Malone, Travis Kelce, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Stephen A. Smith, Becky Lynch, Ken Jennings and others. Sandler hinted at some of the cameos months ago, saying on the "Dan Patrick Show" in December that he filmed with Eminem for a day. 'He said a million things we can use and we are glad we had him on tape,' Sandler said at the time. Sandler co-wrote the script with longtime collaborator Tim Herlihy and brought in Kyle Newacheck to direct. Martin Herlihy, whose father co-wrote the original "Happy Gilmore," joined the cast alongside some fellow "Saturday Night Live" performers and golfers such as Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau, Nelly Korda, Jack Nicklaus, John Daly, Paige Spiranac and New Jersey native Scottie Scheffler. Golf courses like Fiddler's Elbow in Bedminster served as key locations. The movie also had temporary sets in Verona, Washington Township and The Oranges, among other New Jersey locations. USA TODAY's Brendan Morrow contributed to this report. This article originally appeared on New 'Happy Gilmore 2' trailer drops at Netflix Tudum fan event

Bold and the Beautiful Must Watch Video Preview May 26-30: Luna Wants to Eliminate Steffy
May 26-30 will be a week filled with high emotions on The Bold and the Beautiful. One character faces an uncertain future, while another tries to eliminate a threat to their family. Here's a look at what's ahead. With no cure for his brain tumor, Liam (Scott Clifton) is enjoying his final moments with Kelly (Sophia McKinlay). While he's putting on a brave front, he's secretly coping with his tragic fate. During a conversation with Finn (Tanner Novlan), Liam discusses his fears. 'I don't know how to say goodbye to my daughters,' he tells Finn. Will Liam's farewell come sooner than he thinks? Or is there still hope he'll see his daughters grow up? Steffy's (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) main focus the past few weeks has been on Liam. But now her thoughts are back to Luna (Lisa Yamada). Although Finn is keeping his distance from Luna, Steffy knows her stepdaughter will try to worm her way into their lives. During a talk with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Hope (Annika Noelle), Steffy brings up Luna's murderous past. 'She's a monster and we have to do everything to keep her away from me and my family,' Steffy declares. Across town, Luna comes up with her own plan for Steffy. Luna is talking with her grandma Sheila Kimberlin Brown) about how Steffy's never going to accept her into their family. 'So why don't we just eliminate that threat,' Luna suggests. Sheila knows what it's like to be in Luna's position since Steffy banned Sheila from Finn's life. While Sheila sympathizes with her granddaughter, she's not on board with Luna's idea to eliminate Steffy. 'Don't say another word about Finn's wife,' Sheila warns her granddaughter. Sheila's trying to protect Luna from making a huge mistake, but will Luna listen to her grandma's warning? Or will Luna follow through with her plan for Steffy?
