Delivery boy dies after throat being slashed by manjha string
According to police, Amar, employed with an e-commerce platform, had left home saying he was going to collect a payment to buy gifts for his sisters for Raksha Bandhan. "First I will bring gifts, then get the rakhi tied," he reportedly told his family before leaving. As he reached the Hardoi bridge, a manjha string got entangled around his neck. Before he could stop his bike, the sharp string cut deeply into his throat, causing him to collapse on the roadside in a pool of blood.
Local residents rushed him to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Amar, married two years ago, leaves behind his wife Komal and a young daughter.
The tragedy sank the family into grief. His mother Kusuma and sisters Niharika and Neha wept inconsolably in the mortuary, with Kusuma fainting repeatedly.
Komal collapsed upon seeing her husband's body, crying that their daughter would now grow up without her father.

Kusuma alleged foul play, questioning how the manjha could have completely severed the neck. "The doctor indicated that he was attacked with something sharp. My son's workplace should be investigated to know who called him out," she said.
A sobbing Niharika said, "We told him to get the rakhi tied first. If he had stayed, he might still be alive. We don't want any gift—just give us our brother back."
Amar's father, Dinesh, in deep shock, said his son was the family's only earning member. "Now who will take care of my daughters-in-law and grandchild?"
Kotwali SHO Avnish Singh reached the spot and initiated an inquiry.
"So far scanning of CCTV footage and mobile phone records nothing suspicious has surfaced, and post Mortem report is awaited," he said.

Bike-borne suspects steal woman's gold chain worth Rs1.4L
Pune: A 58-year-old woman lost her gold chain worth Rs1.4 lakh to two bike-borne suspects while she was riding a two-wheeler with her husband and grandson. The incident occurred around 10.15am on the service road at Warje Malwadi, near Warje Chowk. According to sub-inspector Shrikant Shirole of the Warje Malwadi police, two men on a motorcycle intercepted the family's bike as they were returning home from an event in Vadgaon Dhayari. "The suspects, on the pretext of checking the woman's purse, diverted her attention and stole her chain before fleeing. The woman later realised that she was tricked and registered a complaint related to cheating," the officer added. Though there were no closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras at the crime spot, the police have started the process to identify the suspects based on the description provided by the woman and her family members. Surat: Utran police registered an offence against six people, including the bride, in a fake marriage scam. The accused arranged and attended the marriage, allegedly distributing Rs 2.5 lakh as part of the matchmaking deal. Just 13 days after the wedding, the bride vanished from the groom's home, taking with her a gold chain and silver anklets. The victim, 27-year-old paan shop owner Gaurang Lumbhani from Utran, was introduced to the bride through his sister's brother-in-law's friend, Naresh Miyani, who claimed to have a suitable match. Although the bride belonged to a different caste, Gaurang agreed to meet her after seeing her photo. On March 30, Gaurang, along with Kamlesh Ghutla and Naresh Miyani, met the woman—introduced as Kajal Parmar—along with her 'siblings' Lala Parmar and Swati Parmar. That same day, Lala visited Gaurang's home to finalise arrangements, where it was agreed that Gaurang's family would pay Rs 2.5 lakhs to Kajal's family. Naresh, the chief mediator, was present.
