Man United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir rejected by Turkey's big four clubs after agent offered him around
Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir was reportedly offered to Turkey's big four clubs – Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Trabzonspor – but they all turned down the chance to sign him.
Bayindir joined United in the summer of 2023 from Fenerbahce in a deal worth around £4.3m.

He arrived at the club at the same time as Andre Onana, but neither goalkeeper has managed to impress. Despite Onana's error-prone performances, Bayindir has failed to dislodge him as United's number one.
Bayindir made his Premier League debut this season after stepping in for Onana, who was dropped following two costly errors in the first leg of United's Europa League quarter-final clash against Olympique Lyonnais. However, Bayindir was unable to make the most of his opportunity, conceding four goals in a heavy defeat to Newcastle at St James' Park.
The Turkey international finished the 2024/25 campaign with 10 appearances to his name across all competitions. He conceded 18 goals in that period.
Much like Onana, Bayindir's performances were marred by costly mistakes, and there's a growing consensus that he isn't the long-term solution to United's goalkeeping problems.

There have been suggestions that Bayindir could leave Old Trafford this summer in search of regular first-team minutes elsewhere. A report covered by The Peoples Person claimed that United are open to listening to offers for him.
Now, there's been an update on Bayindir's situation, nd it doesn't bode well for the goalkeeper as he looks to secure a move away and continue his career elsewhere.
According to Turkish news outlet A Sport [via Fotomac], Bayindir's agent approached the four biggest club in Turkey to offer his client, but none showed any interest in adding him to their ranks.
However, while one club has shown a willingness to sign the 27-year-old, he himself isn't particularly enthusiastic about the move.

'Manchester United have put Altay Bayındır on their sale list.'
'Altay Bayındır's manager contacted representatives of the big four teams but received negative feedback.'
'Çaykur Rizespor has shown interest in the player, but the national goalkeeper wants to continue in Europe if the big four teams do not sign him.'
Bayindir has two years left on his United contract.

Revealed: Mohamed Salah Could Miss Six Crucial Liverpool Fixtures This Season

Mohamed Salah Set to Miss Key Liverpool Fixtures Due to Africa Cup of Nations Liverpool's preparations for the 2025–26 season may soon face a significant test, with Mohamed Salah expected to miss up to six matches should Egypt reach the final of the Africa Cup of Nations. It is a familiar interruption for the Reds, and one that often leaves a visible impact. AFCON Timing Puts Pressure on Slot's Squad Depth The Africa Cup of Nations kicks off on 21 December, with the final scheduled for 18 January. During this period, Liverpool face a demanding run of fixtures in both the Premier League and domestic cups. If Egypt, one of the tournament favourites, progress deep into the competition, Salah's absence could stretch Arne Slot's squad significantly. Advertisement The timing is far from ideal. Liverpool begin their Premier League campaign at home to Bournemouth, as confirmed this week, and expectations are high after Slot's title-winning debut season. However, a month without their talismanic forward will require tactical reshuffling and possibly the emergence of a new attacking focal point. Six Premier League Games on Salah's Absence List Should Egypt go all the way, Salah would likely miss six league fixtures. The run begins with a visit from Tottenham Hotspur on 20 December, just a day before Egypt's opening AFCON match. From there, Liverpool's schedule becomes congested over the festive period. Salah could miss matches against Wolves (27 December), Leeds United (30 December), Fulham (3 January), and Arsenal (7 January), with the final potential absence being the Burnley clash on 17 January. That Arsenal fixture stands out, not just due to the quality of the opposition, but also because of what it could mean in the title race. Mikel Arteta's side finished second last season and are expected to challenge again. Mohamed Salah's Influence Remains Undeniable Salah was Liverpool's standout performer during the 2024–25 campaign. He not only topped the Premier League charts for both goals and assists, but once again defined what it means to be world class at Anfield. Advertisement 'The Egyptian King managed to turn his career around massively at Anfield,' reads one summary, a nod to his transformation from Chelsea castoff to Liverpool legend. It is a story of redemption, consistency, and elite output. His absence is always felt, particularly when Liverpool are navigating the demands of the winter schedule. It is not just about the goals. It is about the spaces he creates, the defenders he attracts, and the aura he brings to the front line. Who steps into that role is a question Arne Slot will need to answer quickly. Salah's Importance for Egypt Cannot Be Overstated For Salah himself, the Africa Cup of Nations is an opportunity for silverware that has thus far eluded him with Egypt. His international ambitions have always burned brightly, and national duty takes priority when the call comes. Advertisement For Liverpool, however, the club-versus-country tension is real. In a season where every point matters, especially with Arsenal, Manchester City, and perhaps even Newcastle lurking in the title conversation, any disruption to rhythm could have ramifications. Still, it could have been worse. The fixture list, while challenging, offers manageable opponents around the Arsenal game. And if Salah returns in full flight, the Reds could emerge from January still within touching distance of their targets.

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson defends Mark Andrews from criticism after playoff drop

Lamar Jackson said he never gets over losses. And he also dislikes fans criticizing one of his teammates online. After the Baltimore Ravens' first day of mandatory minicamp Tuesday, Jackson called out the social media criticism directed at tight end Mark Andrews following the tight end's crucial drop in January's playoff defeat to the Buffalo Bills. "I've been seeing my guy getting talked about, and I really don't like that, because he's done so much for us," Jackson said of Andrews, who let a potential game-tying, 2-point conversion pass slip through his hands in a 27-25 loss in the divisional round. "He's done so much for us, and how people did him, I just don't like that. Cause Mark's still Mark." The criticism that Andrews received prompted speculation that the Ravens might trade the three-time Pro Bowler before the final season of a four-year, $56 million deal. That hasn't happened, and Andrews was with the team to begin optional team activities last month, when he also spoke to reporters about the play. Jackson accepts some blame In Andrews' defense, Jackson was quick to mention the two turnovers he committed during the first half that helped Buffalo take a 21-10 halftime lead. "People were trying to dog him on comments and stuff," Jackson said. "And he's accomplished so much. For us, for himself. So I just feel like, let things happen sometimes. We wish we would've won the game. I wish I didn't throw that interception. I wish I didn't fumble. I wish the (conversion) mishap didn't happen. But it happened. Lesson learned, man." Turning the page to 2025 Jackson was visibly upbeat on Tuesday in his first session with reporters since his postgame news conference in Buffalo. And he expressed awe of his newest receiving option, 33-year-old DeAndre Hopkins, who signed $6 million deal with Baltimore in March. "He's different, man," Jackson said. "I threw him, like, a shallow (cross) today. He caught the ball so smooth, got up. I don't even think he put his other hand on the ground to get up. He just caught the ball and start running. I'm like, 'Bro, that's some vet-type stuff. Like some super-vet-type stuff.'" And he suggested there's no point in trying to erase the pain from the latest in a string of frustrating playoff defeats during his career. "I don't think I get over any loss, to be honest," Jackson said. "I've got losses from youth football that still haunt me. So I never get over a loss. I don't care how small it might be to someone else or how great it might be. It's always the same for me."
