Somerset man arrested in Knox County
Tip Miller, 37, was arrested on Gregory Branch Road in Artemus, Ky., according to a press release from the Knox County Sheriff's Department (KCSD).
Miller was wanted on a Kentucky Parole Board Warrant for a violation concerning convictions of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and first-degree Bail Jumping. Those convictions were from Pulaski County cases.
He was also being sought by Sevier County, Tenn., as a fugitive, and law enforcement there had warned the public Miller should be considered armed and dangerous.
His charges in Tennessee were for Theft of Property Over $2,500 and Possession of Tools Used in a Retail Theft.
KCSD reported that deputies received a report around 5:20 p.m. of a suspicious vehicle.
Deputies arrived at Gregory Branch Road to find a man sitting inside a vehicle.
When deputies talked to the man, KCSD stated that 'he refused to identify himself, refused to exit the vehicle, and was very belligerent towards them.'
KCSD also stated that deputies saw a syringe 'in plain view inside the vehicle.'
Miller was removed from the vehicle, and a search of the vehicle turned up crushed Soboxone tablets, several Suboxone strips and another syringe, according to the press release.
Miller was charged in Knox County with second-degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Menacing and Driving Under the Influence.
According to court documents, Miller's Knox County arraignment was scheduled for Thursday.
Miller was sentenced in October 2023 in the Pulaski cases, and he was out on parole when the August 2024 arrest in Sevier County took place.
He had been sentenced to three years for the firearm charge and one year on the Bail Jumping charge.

In similar remarks, Vance capitalized on a 'free D.C.' slogan from protesters, saying 'Let's free D.C. from lawlessness.' 'It is kind of bizarre we have a bunch of old, primarily white people who are out there protesting the policies that keep people safe when they have never felt danger in their entire lives,' Vance continued. Vance also pointed to D.C. having a 'terrible crime problem,' telling reporters to 'look around' and talk to a resident. As the White House has touted more than 550 arrests since Aug. 7, as the Trump administration began increasing the presence of federal law enforcement, Democratic lawmakers and critics have maintained that Trump has continued to exaggerate the problem at hand. Many, including local officials, have pointed to data found on the Metropolitan Police Department's website. Police data reports a 27% drop in total violent crime as of Tuesday, compared to statistics from last year. The department also shows decreases in all crime categories in the city, including homicide, robbery, sex abuse and burglary. In early January, federal officials revealed that total violent crime for 2024 had hit a 30-year low — down 35% from 2023 — after homicide reached the highest recorded number since the mid-1990s. Meanwhile, several outlets reported on Tuesday that the Justice Department has launched an investigation into whether the police manipulated data to make crime rates appear lower. Trump had hinted at a probe in a post on social media earlier this week. 'D.C. gave Fake Crime numbers in order to create a false illusion of safety,' he wrote on Truth Social. 'This is a very bad and dangerous thing to do, and they are under serious investigation for so doing!' In a separate post, Trump also claimed that D.C. has become the 'safest' and is 'getting better every single hour.' 'So we're going to ignore these stupid white hippies that all need to go home and take a nap because they're all over 90 years old,' he added. 'And we're going to get back to the business of protecting the American people and the citizens of Washington, D.C.' Pentagon revokes security clearance of fmr. CIA official after Russiagate hoax exposed: Report
A new report claims that the Pentagon has revoked the security clearance of former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) officer Susan Miller, who previously claimed to have helped create the 2016 U.S. Intelligence Community Assessment that was used to accuse President Donald Trump of colluding with Russia during the presidential election. The Federalist reported on Thursday that two Trump administration officials confirmed to the outlet that Miller's security clearance had been revoked. An anonymous senior defense official told The Federalist, 'This woman totally shouldn't hold a high level security clearance after pushing the Russia Hoax. All she did was lie to the American people to hurt Trump.' Additionally, a senior Trump official said, 'Russian Hoaxers sought to undermine President Trump's entire first term in office. A woman involved in the Russia Hoax cannot be trusted with a security clearance. Therefore, it has been revoked.' During a recent podcast episode, Miller said she 'headed up the report team' that completed the 2016 U.S. Intelligence Community Assessment that was used to target Trump. However, sources told Racket News in July that Miller did not play a major role in the assessment. Following Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard's release of new evidence in July that showed former President Barack Obama's national security cabinet members 'manufactured and politicized intelligence' that led to a 'coup' against Trump and that the manufactured intelligence alleging collusion between Trump and Russia was not credible, Miller claimed that Gabbard was lying. 'The director of national intelligence and the White House are lying, again,' Miller told NBC News. 'We definitely had the intel to show with high probability that the specific goal of the Russians was to get Trump elected.' Miller added, 'At the same time, we found no two-way collusion between Trump or his team with the Russians at that time.'
