Bongi Mbonambi, Frans Malherbe, Eben Etzebeth, Siyamthanda Kolisi, Pieter-Steph du Toit, Duane Vermeulen, Faf de Klerk, Handre Pollard, Damian de Allende and Cheslin Kolbe are the men in question. It points to a seriously impressive level of continuity that 66.6% of those who started in Yokohama also started in the showpiece four years later.
Percy Montgomery was the first Springbok to reach a century of caps. Overall, his tally of 102 appearances places him seventh in the all-time reckoning. Only Eben Etzebeth, Victor Matfield, Bryan Habana, Tendai Mtawarira, John Smit and Jean de Villiers have more. Active players Etzebeth, Pieter-Steph du Toit and skipper Siya Kolisi are the standout candidates to enter the GOAT debate alongside Montgomery, Habana and Matfield. We've been spoiled for choice over the years. Willie le Roux is the eighth member of the club after recently bringing up 100 caps against Italy in July.

Strong comments: Khanye on Kaizer Chiefs-bound players

As reported in June, the Kaizer Chiefs thought they had secured both players as free agents. However, Cape Town Spurs responded by claiming that the duo is still under contract. Kaizer Chiefs' Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr with the Team Manager Gerald Sibeko during a Betway Premiership game at the FNB Stadium. Image: Kick Off Due to Spurs' dramatic relegation from the Motsepe Foundation Championship (second tier) to the ABC Motsepe (third tier), Kaizer Chiefs followed the PSL's rulebook, which states that relegation to the third tier makes player contracts null and void. The situation has stalled Kaizer Chiefs from announcing and registering the two players. While the legal battle is still underway, Junior Khanye has reviewed the two players' abilities. Orlando Pirates coach shares plan for Bafana winger 'Out of the two Cape Town Spurs players Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly targeting, I really hope they succeed in signing Baartman – he's got the qualities to do well at the club. I'm not as convinced by Velebayi,' Khanye said via Soccer Laduma . Sundowns to make big announcements 'Look, I know there's a lot of hype around him, but in my opinion, he's not the kind of player who would shine at Kaizer Chiefs. He's done well for Cape Town Spurs and could fit in at other teams, but Chiefs? I don't see it. 'We've seen it before with players like Ranga Chivaviro, Lebogang Manyama and others. They looked good at their previous clubs but couldn't replicate that form at Kaizer Chiefs. That's what I fear with Velebayi,' he added. 'Baartman is young, he's talented, and for me, he's got the potential to become one of the best. I think he would improve a lot at a big club. But honestly, I'd rather see him join Pirates than Kaizer Chiefs,' Khanye said. 'I believe he would thrive playing alongside players like Relebohile Mofokeng, Tito Maswanganyi and others at Pirates. At Kaizer Chiefs, I feel he might struggle like we're currently seeing with talented youngsters such as Mduduzi Shabalala and Mfundo Vilakazi – they seem to be under pressure and haven't fully settled,' concluded the former Kaizer Chiefs winger.
