How To Watch ‘The Chosen: The Last Supper' Parts One, Two And Three
Holy Week has officially arrived, and the first two episodes of The Chosen: The Last Supper—the fifth season of the beloved faith-based series—are now playing in theaters. Keep reading for everything you need to know about watching all three parts, including the full release schedule, where to get tickets, and more.
All eight episodes of The Chosen: The Last Supper unfold during Holy Week, leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. As viewers saw in Season 4, Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, an act that has prompted the Sanhedrin and the High Priest to begin plotting to hand Him over to the Romans for execution.
The main cast from Season 4 of The Chosen are all returning for the next chapter, including Jonathan Roumie as Jesus Christ, Shahar Isaac as Simon Peter, Elizabeth Tabish as Mary Magdalene, Paras Patel as Matthew, Noah James as Andrew, George H. Xanthis as John, Abe Bueno-Jallad as Big James, and more.
When I interviewed Roumie, who plays Jesus, he shared that filming Season 5 was one of the most intense experiences yet, largely due to the spiritually significant moments that unfold during Holy Week.
'The Last Supper means so much, very specifically to me and my faith,' he said. He also expanded on Jesus' mindset this season, noting how tensions with the Pharisees reach a boiling point, while the disciples still struggle to fully grasp the gravity of what's coming.
'Jesus says a lot of things, and a lot of it is the culmination of this relationship—this climax between himself and the Pharisees," he explained. "The rebukes that he gives, the sorrow he feels, not just for the disciples, who still fail to recognize what he's telling them is going to happen at the end of Holy Week, but also the sorrow in seeing these Pharisees and authorities misleading in many ways.'
One major scene in Season 5 shows Jesus entering the temple marketplace and overturning the tables of the buyers, sellers, and money changers. 'The marketplaces are just completely upended,' he told me on set last July. 'It will be a wonderfully chaotic scene, and I can't wait for people to see it.'

Why Fred Savage thought ‘Wonder Years' guest star Alicia Silverstone once gave him a fake phone number
Alicia Silverstone has a funny story about her time guest-starring on 'The Wonder Years' more than 30 years ago. During a new interview with Entertainment Weekly published Friday, Aug. 15, the 'Clueless' actress explained why the show's star, Fred Savage, thought she gave him a fake phone number after they first met on set in 1992. 'Fred Savage's character asks me on a date and I say, 'Pick me up at seven,' or something,' Silverstone began. 'And that's what makes him decide he needs to get on it and learn how to drive.' 9 Alicia Silverstone at the Plaza Hotel in New York City on February 8, 2024. FilmMagic The Season 5 episode in question, titled 'Road Test,' marked Silverstone's first-ever onscreen acting role. She played Jessica Thomas, the high school crush of Kevin Arnold (Savage). 'Fred asked me for my number, which was really sweet, because I was 14,' Silverstone continued. 'My home phone number was also a fax machine of my dad's work.' 'So he had tried calling that a few times, and it just went straight to fax,' she laughed. 'So he thought I gave him a fake number or something.' 9 Alicia Silverstone and Fred Savage during Season 5 Episode 11 of 'The Wonder Years.' Meanwhile, Savage was not the only 'The Wonder Years' actor Silverstone hit it off with during her one-episode appearance on the show. She and Josh Saviano, who portrayed Kevin's best friend, Paul Pfeiffer, on all six seasons of the ABC coming-of-age comedy, also became 'very good friends.' 9 Alicia Silverstone in 1995. ©Paramount/Courtesy Everett Collection 9 Fred Savage at the Writers Guild Theater in Beverly Hills, California, on January 13, 2010. Elsewhere during her interview with the outlet, the 'Blast From the Past' star discussed Peacock's upcoming 'Clueless' reboot series. Although Silverstone admitted that she 'never thought' about doing a revival of the 1995 classic, she is confident the new show will 'honor' the original movie. 9 Alicia Silverstone on the poster for 'Clueless' in 1995. ©Paramount 9 Alicia Silverstone as Cher Horowitz in 'Clueless.' ©Paramount/Courtesy Everett Collection 'It's very early stages,' she shared. 'I'm obviously excited. I never thought that was something that I would ever do because I wouldn't wanna mess up this thing that we all love so much.' 'We will do our very best to honor the original movie that we love and also bring something new to it,' Silverstone added. 'That's the goal, and I believe we will execute that goal.' 'I can't wait to step back into Cher's skin and her fancy designer shoes that will be gently used, of course, duh, because she's evolved,' Silvertone, who is serving as an executive producer, told Entertainment Weekly. 'This is 2025, she's not wearing the new stuff unless it's sustainable or vegan,' she added. 'We'll have to see how far we can go with that.'

Justin Bieber says he doesn't deserve to be forgiven in emotional Instagram post
Justin Bieber is crediting his faith to getting through each day. On Tuesday, the "Daisies" singer, 31, took to Instagram to share his gratitude for Jesus and explain why he doesn't feel that he deserves "forgiveness and love." "grateful for a new day," he captioned the post. "grateful for Jesus. he meets me every morning with forgiveness and love that I truly don't deserve." "so grateful that he gives this love so freely, so graciously," he continued. "Wouldn't be able to get thru the day without his love," he added. "It meets me at my lowest." Fans were quick to offer their support. "You deserve all the love and grace you receive, more than you know. Keep your head up," one user commented. "You are deserving of his love. Sending you love, strength and prayers! You got this! There's a reason we're here!" another wrote. In recent months, the pop star has expressed his vulnerability through multiple posts on Instagram. In April, Bieber wrote, "I'm just an average flawed guy. I've done things that have hurt others. I continue to do and say things that hurt others unintentionally. Yet I woke up this morning with another opportunity to grow and not be so selfish today." He went on to write, "LOVE DRAWS US IN. LOVE DOESN'T CONDEMN. LOVE BELIEVES THE BEST. LOVE HOPES ALL THINGS AND ENDURES ALL THINGS. IT DOESN'T KEEP RECORD OF WRONG. LOVE HELPS U TO FORGIVE AND LOVE EVEN YOUR ENEMIES." Bieber made another post shortly after that, telling his followers that "Sometimes I think I'm gonna get exposed if I tell people how selfish I am. Like if I admitted that, maybe people wouldn't like me or trust me." The "Baby" singer explained that he felt that if he was honest about feeling selfish, then he would be "disqualified from the dreams I had of being included," but said that the more honest he is about things, the more freedom he has. In another post, Bieber wrote that he "can't control" how he feels when he wakes up each morning, and that in the past "I would find myself even subconsciously blaming god for the bad feeling I woke up with rather than communicate with him and ask him to help me have a change of perspective." In May, Bieber, who recently released his long-awaited seventh studio album, "Swag," made a public apology to his wife, Hailey Bieber, about her Vogue cover. He took to Instagram to share images from Hailey's photo shoot with Vogue. In his caption, he explained that he'd once told her she'd never land the cover of the legendary fashion magazine. "Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight," he wrote. "I told hails that she would never be on the cover of vogue, Yikes I know, so mean." He continued, "For some reason because I felt so disrespected I thought I gotta get even... I think as we mature we realize that we're not helping anything by getting even. we're honestly just prolonging what we really want which is intimacy and connection." Bieber, who later deleted his caption, finished his post by dedicating a message directly to his wife, and wrote, "So baby u already know but forgive me for saying u wouldn't get a vogue cover cuz clearly i was sadly mistaken." Fox News Digital's Emily Trainham contributed to this post.

3 highlights from this week's issue of The Envelope
If you're feeling a little peckish as you open this week's letter from the editor, our latest cover subject, 'Hacks' star Hannah Einbinder, has a recommendation for you: a breakfast burrito from Historic Filipinotown's Doubting Thomas, home of her favorite in the city. And while you wait for those eggs to cook up, let's unwrap the foil on our Aug. 14 issue and chomp down on some highlights. No, 'Hacks' is not over. As of this writing, Season 5 is not even officially its last. But with a stand-up comedy special under her belt, Jane Schoenbrun's 'Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma' in the can and another hush-hush project already underway, it's clear that the 'Hacks' star isn't planning to rest on the laurels of four Emmy nominations. As former competitive cheerleader Einbinder tells Margy Rochlin in this week's cover story, the prospect of leaving the 'Hacks' nest is 'emotional,' but the novelty of new challenges scratches its own itch: 'I'm an adrenaline seeker,' she says. 'I just have always liked the feeling of flying.' Accompanying the story online is the debut of our new short-form series 'In the First Place,' in which we ask cover subjects about life and career 'firsts' — including, in Einbinder's case, her first stop at the Americana, the first comedy album she listened to on repeat and more. As a result, perhaps, of my particular lens — former high-school teacher here — it wasn't the destabilizing premiere, the wrenching finale, or Owen Cooper and Erin Doherty's riveting two-hander that left me most awestruck when I watched Netflix's 'Adolescence' this spring. It was only after the second episode, which weaves a murder investigation into a chaotic school day, that I found myself muttering under my breath, 'I need a diagram of how they did that.' Thanks to Emmy-nominated director of photography Matthew Lewis for obliging my curiosity (see above), and for speaking to contributor Bill Desowitz for his story about the extraordinary choreography required to piece a fire drill, a police chase and a drone shot into a single continuous shot, all with 350 young extras to corral. For logistical stress, that puts even chaperoning prom to shame. And trust me, I'd know! 'Somebody Somewhere's' Jeff Hiller is having the time of his life — and not just in the photo above, snapped last month in the courtyard of his Manhattan apartment building. As Tyler Coates writes in his profile of the first-time Emmy nominee, the surprise and delight of the announcement allows Hiller to keep basking in gratitude for the role of lovable queer Kansan Joel even though the series ended its three-season run last fall: 'If I could play a role like that for six weeks once a year, for the rest of my life? I'd be more than fulfilled.' It also allows him entree to HBO's vaunted after-party, though my fingers are crossed that 'Somebody Somewhere' doesn't inspire any trays of 'St. Louis sushi.'
