Scotland lose Jordan and Ritchie to injury
Jordan played the entire match despite sustaining a fractured hand during the 29-14 defeat in Suva, while former captain Ritchie hurt his foot and was replaced after 21 minutes.
Confirmation of their unavailability came after the call-up of three Scottish players as injury cover for the British and Irish Lions.
Rory Sutherland, Ewan Ashman and Darcy Graham will bolster the squad for the Lions' match against the First Nations-Pasifika team on July 22 in Melbourne.
That comes between the first and second tests against Australia and allows Lions coach Andy Farrell to rest all the players who will be involved in the test.
Winger Graham joined up with the Lions on Monday, two days after he received two yellow cards and left Scotland a man down for the last part of their loss to Fiji.
Loosehead prop Sutherland, who played in two tests in the last Lions tour in South Africa, and hooker Ewan Ashman will stay with the Scottish camp until after their test against Samoa, which is being played in Auckland, New Zealand. REUTERS

'When promises are broken and trust is lost, the relationship can't continue. That's where things are for me right now - and why change is in the best interests of everyone, not just myself.' According to reports, Isak had been promised an improved contract only for the club to hold off due to pressures of meeting financial sustainability rules. He has scored 62 goals in 109 appearances since joining from Real Sociedad in 2022, including the winner against Liverpool in the League Cup final earlier this year that ended Newcastle's 70-year wait to win a domestic trophy. Liverpool have already spent around £300 million in overhauling a squad that romped to the Premier League title last season. But they have also recouped over £200 million in sales and are still in the market for attacking options after the departures of Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez and tragic death of Diogo Jota. Edmund, who rose to a career-high world ranking of 14 in October 2018 after winning his maiden ATP Tour title in Antwerp, also reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open that same year, becoming the second Briton since Andy Murray to achieve the feat in the Open Era. His second ATP title came at the 2020 New York Open. However, injuries derailed his career, forcing him to undergo knee surgeries in November 2020, March 2021 and May 2022. Forest sign French striker Kalimuendo from Rennes

Financial details of the transfer were not revealed but British media reported Forest paid about 26 million pounds ($35.19 million) for the 23-year-old. Kalimuendo came through Paris St Germain's academy and had two loan spells at Lens before joining Rennes in 2022, scoring 40 goals from 112 appearances in all competitions. At Lens, he netted 21 goals in 65 appearances. Kalimuendo was impressive in 2024-25, with 18 goals and four assists in 34 matches for Rennes. He was part of the France squad that won silver at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. "This is a proud moment for me, joining a team who had a strong season last year and a club with great history," Kalimuendo said. "I'm ready for the challenge, and I arrive here with good experience. I had a good season last year with goals and assists but I want more and want to reach a new level here." Forest have spent about 147 million pounds on seven signings in the transfer window, including three in the last three days.
