Antonio to leave West Ham after car crash
The Jamaica international has stated his intention to return to action but that will not be with the Hammers.
Antonio is the club's all-time top goalscorer in the Premier League and netted 83 times in total during 323 appearances.
"Michail will always be a much-loved and respected member of the West Ham United family," the club said in a statement.
"As has been the case since December, the club will continue to support and assist him in his ongoing rehabilitation, offering him access to training, facilities and medical care if needed."
West Ham confirmed they are still in negotiations with Antonio over a possible non-playing role at the club in the future.
Antonio was part of the West Ham side that won the club's first trophy since 1980 when they lifted the Europa Conference League in 2023.
"Everyone at West Ham United would like to sincerely thank Michail for his outstanding, dedicated service in a claret and blue shirt over the last ten years," the statement said.

"When we won the FA Cup against Manchester City on that momentous day in May, our manager and players earned the right to play Europa League football. "We have been denied that opportunity. It appears that certain clubs, organisations and individuals have a unique privilege and power. "This growing and unhealthy influence has shattered the hopes and dreams of Crystal Palace supporters, and does not bode well for aspirational teams all over Europe competing to progress when rules and sanctions are unevenly applied in the most flagrant way." UEFA regulations state that where one or more clubs are found to have shared ownership, they cannot play in the same competition, and Lyon held on to the Europa League spot by virtue of their higher league position. Palace missed a March 1 UEFA deadline for team in multi-club groups to change their ownership structure. Textor has since sold his shares to New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, a takeover completed in late July. "Multi-club structures hide behind the charade of a 'blind trust' while clubs such as ours, who have no connection to another club whatsoever, are prevented from playing in the same competition," the Palace statement added. "To compound the injustice, clubs that appear to have huge informal arrangements with each other are also allowed to participate and even possibly play against each other. Palace added that the process was "designed to severely restrict and, in our case, make it almost impossible to receive a fair hearing". Palace beat Premier League champions Liverpool in the Community Shield at the weekend, winning a penalty shootout after the match finished 2-2 in 90 minutes.

Man Utd training ground upgrade will foster 'winning culture': Ratcliffe
A £50 million ($67 million) investment has been made to upgrade the Carrington training ground that has been United's base since 2000. The renovation work was completed during the 2024/25 season and Ruben Amorim's squad moved into the men's first-team building this week, having returned from their pre-season tour of the United States. British billionaire Ratcliffe pledged to invest $300 million in infrastructure when he took a minority stake in the 20-time English champions last year. "Following a review of the facility last year, we made a quick decision to invest significantly in the creation of a world-class performance environment for staff and players to reflect our ambition and vision for Manchester United," Ratcliffe said in a statement on the club's website. "We are delighted with the outcome and are confident the new facility will play an important role in building a winning culture at the club." The training ground project was overseen by Foster + Partners, the firm also appointed last September to develop the masterplan for a new 100,000-capacity stadium. United's men's team endured their worst campaign for 51 years last season, finishing 15th in the table. They have not won the Premier League since 2013, in Alex Ferguson's final season in charge. Amorim has been handed a revamped attack for the new campaign with Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo already signed and Benjamin Sesko set to join from RB Leipzig in a £74 million deal.

Australian A-League side Western United stripped of licence
United joined Australia's top-tier football competition in the 2019-2020 campaign as an expansion club, winning the grand final in only their third season. But they have been in recent financial turmoil, with players and staff reportedly paid late in April, May and June.
