Saturday Acca Betting Tips: Premier League Best Bets & 89/1 Accumulator
Saturday's Premier League Predictions
With four Premier League sides in FA Cup action this weekend, there's the chance for several others to put the pressure on those European places.
Chelsea and Newcastle both have the opportunity to move into the top four with wins, while Liverpool need just one point to secure their 20th league title.
The final relegation spot could also be confirmed with Ipswich set to join Southampton and Leicester back in the Championship if they don't beat Newcastle.
We've compiled a four-fold from the Saturday 3pm kick-offs in the top flight that returns at 89/1 with Bet365 and comparable odds on other football betting sites.
Brighton vs West Ham Prediction
Still with a chance of qualifying for European football next season, Brighton will see their home game with West Ham as a great opportunity to get three more points on the board.
The Hammers are without a win in their last six, drawing three and losing three against Newcastle, Wolves and Liverpool.
Brighton aren't in the best form either, with an identical record from their last six, with their defeats coming against Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Brentford.
West Ham striker Niclas Fullkrug admitted that his side had a 'mindset problem' following their 1-1 draw with already relegated Southampton last weekend, and manager Graham Potter would love to see a response against his former side.
The last two meetings between these sides have finished all square, and we think this one could go the same way as two out-of-form sides go head-to-head.
Newcastle vs Ipswich Prediction
Following their 4-1 drubbing by Aston Villa last weekend, Newcastle will be desperate to get back to winning ways and move back into the top four.
They will be buoyed by the news that manager Eddie Howe will be back in the dugout after recovering from pneumonia, and they should make easy work of Ipswich, who will be relegated back to the Championship if they don't win or West Ham avoid defeat against Brighton.
Ipswich have won just one of their last 10 matches, with the 2-1 victory at Bournemouth only their fourth league win of the season. The other wins came against Tottenham, Wolves and Chelsea, so can they cause another shock and win at St James' Park?
They were beaten 4-0 by the Magpies earlier in the season, when Alexander Isak scored three and Jacob Murphy completed the scoring.
Southampton vs Fulham Prediction
Southampton still need a point if they are to avoid being relegated from the Premier League with the competition's lowest-ever points total, and things don't get much easier for them this weekend as they face Fulham at St Mary's.
They picked up a point last weekend, with a 1-1 draw against West Ham, and the same result again would take their points tally for the season to 12 from 33 games.
Fulham sit 11 places and 37 points above them, and a win would move them up to eighth place, but they have lost five of their last seven in all competitions, so they will need to improve on recent form.
Southampton have lost 13 Premier League home games this season, including 10 of their last 11, drawing the other one. The only sides to lose 14 or more home matches in a single season were Sunderland in 2002-03 (14), Sunderland in 2005-06 (14), Huddersfield in 2018-19 (14), and Watford in 2021-22 (15).
Wolves vs Leicester Prediction
Now that their relegation has been confirmed and the pressure is off, can Leicester City finally win for the first time in 12 games?
Ruud van Nistelrooy's side have drawn one and lost the other 10 of the last 11 games and scored just three goals along the way.
They have failed to score in a league-high 15 league matches so far and only failed to do so more times in the 2001-02 campaign, when they played out 19 games without scoring.
They have also kept just one clean sheet in the Premier League this season and have conceded in each of their last 26 matches, so Wolves should fancy their chances of a few goals.
Betting sites are offering just 4/7 on a Wolves win, so it's time to get creative. Striker Matheus Cunha has scored 14 league goals this season and he is chasing 17 to beat the previous record of the most goals in a Premier League season by a Wolves player, set by Raul Jimenez during the 2019-20 season.

Brighton star risks wrath of fans by admitting his dream to sign for Liverpool
Liverpool have been very busy when it comes to the transfer market this summer and it appears another Premier League stars fancies a switch to Anfield in the near future Brighton star Igor Julio has revealed he fancies a move to Liverpool after urging a teammate to sign for the Reds. The Brazilian defender only signed for the Seagulls in 2023 from Italian side Fiorentina. Since then, he has gone on to make 49 appearances over two seasons. Despite his limited opportunities, the 27-year-old has claimed it would be his dream to become a Liverpool player in the near future, while also urging Brighton 's star striker Joao Pedro to pursue a similar switch to Anfield. 'Joao Pedro had already told Brighton some time ago that his desire was to leave, seek new things, take the next step,' Igor told Trivela. 'It seems it will be difficult and complicated for him to stay here. 'We have to be honest, the club already knows that. (I'm) very happy for him. He deserves it. He's been here in England for five years and hasn't played for a big team yet. It's his moment, his time, so he can make the best decision and be happy wherever he is. 'He always told me that he really wants to live in London, so I think he will prioritise what comes from there first. 'I told [Pedro] that he has to think about what he wants from his career. In my opinion, if I were going to a 'Big Six' team, I would go to a team that fights for the Premier League, plays in the Champions League and is always in a position to win. 'I would go to a Liverpool team and I think he would fit in perfectly at Liverpool. It's because I've always dreamed of playing for Liverpool and I would go there.' Igor, 27, still has two years left to run on his contract with Brighton following his £14m move from Fiorentina. The defender has been backed to have plenty of interest in his services heading into the second part of the summer transfer window. But it appears unlikely that Liverpool will be among the clubs tracking him. Arne Slot 's side are well stocked at centre-back, with Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez and Jarrel Quansah all capable of playing in the position. That situation could change should either of the latter two decide to move on over the coming months having been linked with moves away. But even then, Liverpool appear likely to have their own targets. Former Bournemouth star Dean Huijsen was linked with a move ahead of his £50m switch to Real Madrid. Goncalo Inacio has also been mentioned but as it stands, Liverpool are focusing their efforts on getting deals for Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez over the line. Liverpool target £45m Newcastle United star after agreeing Florian Wirtz deal
Liverpool are considering a move for Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon, according to reports. The Premier League champions are finally set to complete their deal to sign Florian Wirtz after agreeing a £116 million deal with Bayer Leverkusen this week. However, The Sun reports that Liverpool are planning for further signings and are weighing up whether to revive a move for Gordon. Arne Slot's side attempted to sign the England international from Newcastle last summer but were unable to reach an agreement. Gordon, who joined Newcastle in a £45m deal from Everton in January 2023, scored six goals and registered five assists in the Premier League this season. The 24-year-old could be viewed as a possible replacement for Luis Diaz, who is Barcelona's top target to strengthen their attack. When asked about his links with a move to Liverpool last summer, Gordon made it clear that he was happy at Newcastle. More Trending 'There's been a lot of talk this year about my future, where I'm going, where I want to go, without anyone actually asking me,' Gordon said in December. 'Just leave me to play football. I just want to be happy, play football and I love it here. I've said it plenty of times. 'I think with the speculation, people assume that it's correct, but you've never heard from me once that I'm unhappy at his place. I love everyone here, I love playing football here, and that was all that was. 'It took me away from enjoying my football this year and I think that is where the inconsistency has come from because I've got caught in that a little bit. But I just want to play football, especially for Newcastle.' For more stories like this, check our sport page. Follow Metro Sport for the latest news on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Police charge man for sending alleged death threats to Knights player James Schiller
A 20-year-old man has been charged by NSW police for allegedly sending death threats and abusive messages to Newcastle star James Schiller after last week's match. Schiller, just 23 years old with only 27 first-grade appearances to his name, was targeted with a string of vile messages following his team's dramatic comeback win over Manly. The abuse came despite Newcastle pulling off their biggest turnaround in 18 years, recovering from a 16-0 halftime deficit to claim a 26-22 golden point victory in front of their home fans. Schiller, who played out of position at left centre, was targeted both on the field and online after a tough first half defending against the likes of Daly Cherry-Evans, Reuben Garrick and Haumole Olakau'atu. Forced into unfamiliar territory, Schiller was heavily tested on his edge and finished the half with five errors, two penalties conceded and four missed tackles - leading some fans to harshly single him out for criticism. On social media, several accounts piled on, labelling him 'one of the worst NRL players I've ever seen,' and claiming he 'wouldn't stand out for Taree Turtles reserve grade.' But one message crossed well beyond the line of fair criticism, and Schiller decided to share it publicly. 'Count your days c*** I will end your f***ing life,' the message read, sent to his Instagram inbox early in the second half. Even after the Knights sealed victory, the same account continued to abuse him and add some shocking homophobic comments involving former Origin star Dane Gagai as well. 'Doesn't make up for it even though you won. 5 errors, 2 penalties, 1 six again and partridge in a pear tree I hope Dane [Gagai] jams his c*** down your throat and you choke and die.' Schiller posted screenshots of the messages to his Instagram story, drawing attention to the darker side of fan behaviour at a time when mental health support for young men and athletes is being heavily promoted across the country. Lake Macquarie police arrested and charged a man over the matter on Friday. He was charged with use of carriage service to menace, harass or offend. The man was granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, July 30. Newcastle coach Adam O'Brien was clearly frustrated by the jeering on the night and didn't hold back in his post-match press conference. 'It's disappointing, it's really disappointing,' O'Brien said. 'I know the scoreline is not what they want, but to boo the effort that went into that first half from a really young team, the people that booed don't know anything about rugby league.' 'They're probably the ones that cheered at the end too and that really disappoints me because a lot of the first half we defended our hearts out.' 'I know people are disappointed with us, but they're trying their backsides off,' he added. He said the threats against his player were a concern. 'That is worrying,' O'Brien said. 'I want to protect them … and for him to go through that over a couple of errors … it's a game of footy. 'He's got a family. That's partly the reason why you do want to protect them. 'I think it's a societal problem, isn't it? It's not just football players who are getting that sort of stuff. 'I understand there is some legislation, and I think at the moment it's in the hands of authorities to try and help in this situation with James. 'We need to be able to stop people doing it, change their thought process before doing it.'
